Olly Murs - Never Been Better
Ok then my analysis of Never Been Better: Did you miss me? Such a blatant rip of recent popular songs, with the trumpet riff he does this too much, just points at songs in the charts & says "I want that that one". Glad it wasn't the first single as he should be aiming for originality. Wrapped up Bored of it Beautiful to me : Love this song. Up Radio friendly unit shifter. Great song. Olly has been saying for a while that he'd like a duet song & he's nailed it with this one. Seasons lol he sounds like he's from Jamaica in this, I like it though. Nothing without you: filler Never been better Really good this one. Hope you got what you came for filler Why do I love you? pretty good dance song Stick with me Olly is obviously a big fan of 'Wake me up', decent song, sounds a bit Eurvisiony somehow, don't like it when he tries copying others though. Can't say no The music is good but I don't like this much, doesn't really fit with him, I'd be surprised if he had much input into the writing of this one. Tomorrow Good song. Let me in 2nd ballad in a row, I really like this one. I was gonna say Tomorrow was his best ballad to date but I'd actually say this is. You can tell that Paul Weller wrote this one. bonus tracks... We still love Absolute tune. Monster chorus. Shoulda been the first single. Bizarre that it's just a bonus track. Us against the world well crafted song, had me bopping my head. Ready for love Another big pop song. Again, why is this just a bonus song? History like this one Clearly the bonus songs that didn't make it were ones he was hardly involved in writing otherwise they'd have been shoe ins for the album proper. Hope you got what you came for & Nothing without you should have been replaced by We still love & Ready for love. He relegated some good songs to the bench on his last album as well, pretty annoying. Really good album if you get the deluxe version which is definitely the one I'll be going for.

Olly Murs - Never Been Better
Up sounded like a radio slayer on youtube & that was even with the high pitched voices to avoid copyright.

& that's what you call a hit? Are you a member of Nicole Scherzinger's PR team? ;)

Olly Murs feat. Travie McCoy - Wrapped Up
A possible number 2 on the cards considering he has Graham Norton on Friday & some other stuff. Weirdly though Surprise Surprise is next week.

lol I doubt that, I expect his album to sell really well. Let's not get carried away, number 3 (very close to number 2) is pretty good in a Band Aid week for a generic song. What do people mean when they say that? His airplay has been strong, he's done all the usual shows he does, plus he's got an ITV special coming up. I think the two year gap between albums was a poor move. The album every year cycle he had going was working well. Yeah we haven't heard what he has on his new album yet, there's supposed to be quite a few potential hits on it. Wrapped Up wasn't even gonna be the lead single, the 2nd single was, so that bodes well. Plus there's his Demi Lovato song which will IMO be the 3rd single.

I'm surprised Olly isn't ahead of Clean Bandit, I know it' not a fairly generic song but it's slayed the radio playlists.

'Dangerous' should be number 1 if we're going by the quality of the songs. No matter for Olly anyway, I reckon his album will be number 1, that's more of an indication of the status as an artist whereas with singles you need the luck of the draw.

well Olly & Clean Bandit could be really close & for all we know Olly could be on the verge of overtaking them. Not that it matters, 2 or 3 no real difference, no chance of number 1 for either of them so it doesn't matter. why?

Olly Murs feat. Travie McCoy - Wrapped Up
should be able to get number 2. He's on the number 1 anyway so a good week for him overall.

Surely Olly will be number 1 when Itunes updates... great performance & alot of exposure tonight. Another dud of a song from Sherzinger, won't do much. At least she was on first, Olly sells ALOT more so only right.

yeah Dangerous is a good song.

Olly Murs - Never Been Better
Wrapped up is a grower, it's exactly the sort of thing alot of people like. A song that sounds familiar, like a few other songs, catnip for radio. I like Beautiful to me the most of the songs I've heard so far. Maybe Up will be the next single if he's done an acoustic version with Demi.

He has an ITV special coming up, that should really help shift the album. Anyone know when ITV are showing that? It just occurred to me it might not be this year.

Olly Murs - Never Been Better
How exactly is there less hype around him? Things look the same a usuual to me. The radio pluggers put in the hard yards getting him in the top echelon of airplay, he goes on X Factor, then he sells loads of records. Standard. Yeah I agree, the videos are his fault, he obviously doesn't want to spend much on them & he needs to get better directors. I'm hopeful Columbia will wanna spend more for the American version, hope Travie turns up for that one.

Top 5? Are you familiar with Olly's sales figures? He'd get top 5 in his sleep.

waste of time for Nicole, her song will do nothing.Olly will get strong sales though & thsi will help. Smashing it on airplay anyway though.

Olly Murs - Never Been Better
He's getting screwed on the single charting but he should be able to nail another number 1 album. I would have released it earlier to get great sales & cash in on Christmas after they start to slow down like he did last time. I reckon this album will see a slight decline in sales dependent on how catchy the singles are. The Demi Lovato song could give the album a boost if it's a single. btw the video for Wrapped Up looks cheap & Travie McCoy not even in it cos he couldn't make it, just as bad as the Troubelmaker video which he's admitted to being disappointed in. I mean the lyrics vid looks better.

Predict: Olly Murs feat. Travie McCoy - Wrapped Up
I feel like Olly is getting screwed over by the rush release of Band Aid in mid November, I mean wtf??? He hasn't got a prayer of beating it. It's gonna be terrible with that quick turnaround in recording & release but it's for charity & it has everyone on it, it's a sure fire number 1. Oh well, at least he's on it. Doubt he'll have a solo but still. He would have got number 1. I mean wow you woulda thought they'd at least edit it for a week with all those artists on it, unlucky.

Olly Murs - Dear Darlin'
I expected Army of two to be a bigger hit but Dear Darlin looks set to be his most popular post album single. Both are being handled badly. Troublemaker sold a million so he hardly flopped did he. Dance with me tonight will do well for him as well. A top 20 album is awesome for a British artist. Several sold out shows there too. Right place right time could do well if released as well.

Shane Filan - You And Me
I doubt he'll have to give much money back to his creditors, he'll be back making profit in no time. The bulk of the money he'll get will be from gigs, he's got a guaranteed Westlife contingent that'll fill his venues, a theatre tour could be very lucrative so record sales won't matter. I do wonder if he wrote all the songs in part to get a larger slice of the pie!

Olly Murs - Right Place Right Time
Strange he's not doing Dear Darlin, his post album release singles are always so shoddy!

Chris Maloney - TBA
Tristar records, never heard of em and can't see much off Google about them either, flop! But hey credit for not doing covers I suppose as everyone expected him to.
