Nate's Top 40 (14/6/24) #37
Hi James! '360' is a simple but really effective bop from Charli. Probably one of my all-time faves from her now  'Genesis.' What a serve from RAYE, a fantastic comeback single! Like the rest of 'BRAT', 'Sympathy is a knife' is indeed a incredible tune. I'm really happy that the only two Sabrina songs that I've enjoyed are the ones that are getting stratospheric success! Hi Jack! 'BRAT' is already a classic in my books x Hi Sergej! I'm delighted that 'BRAT' has been so successful in every way for Charli, it deserves every single bit of it. Hi Jade! Charli deserves this takeover so, so much  After several more listens, 'BRAT' may actually hold the title for my AOTY now (until The Weeknd or Gaga drops a new album lol). I really do adore how introspective the lyrics are on this project, it's been an honour as a listener to see Charli's songwriting abilities flourish over the past decade. 'WAKE UP' is excellent, one of the best BJSC entries of the year for me!

JSG'S Top 40 • #117 • 13/06/24
Hi James! Wow, I didn't expect 'BOA' to climb that much! Fantastic #1 tho  Less than two weeks to go until her album :cheer: That top 3 is pure taste btw. Fantastic to see 'Illusion' finally in the top 10, I'm sure it'll sound fab at Dua's performance at Glasto! Loving the new peaks for 'LUNCH' 'L'AMOUR DE MA VIE', 'CHIHIRO', 'BIRDS OF A FEATHER', 'Good Luck, Babe!' and 'I Had Some Help' as well!

Jade's Top 40 | #376 (15.06.24)
Hi Jade! Once again, what a flawless top 10  I was delighted to see 'Monolith' do so well for you in BJSC, one of my fav entries of the year :cheer: Fantastic to see 'Sympathy is a knife' land in the top 3! 'BRAT' is already challenging 'Only God Was Above Us' and 'HIT ME HARD AND SOFT' to be my AOTY :o As much as I adore 'Charli', I think it's her finest record to date (+ extra points for it holding the iconic accolade of a 10 from Fantano :cheeseblock:). 'BRAT' just makes me want to rave 24/7, few albums can make me that energetic lol. The deluxe tracks are fab as well, especially 'Hello goodbye' and 'Spring breakers' 'Everything is romantic', '365', 'Talk talk' and 'Apple' were all huge highlights for me, I fear the latter is particularly underrated. Great to see 'Like I Say' climb into the top 10, I think this is the first Nilüfer Yanya track that I've heard shamefully oop. The video for 'The Boy Is Mine' is excellent as well, yet another piece of tastefully created art from Queen Ari

BJSC 165 - FINAL RESULTS
Congrats Rob :cheer: I'm looking forward to what could be my first time in Hendinia! Great hosting Addy, the graphics looked excellent! Oooh, lovely to see New Lexico in the runner-up position, we stan Bambie Thug x. Delighted that Jadakissnia, Terra Avium and Sovarasma all cracked the top 10 :cheer: Some respectable results for Danæviia, Skall, Utopia, Trifoski, Persephonia, Singerpurear & Kathaldazia in the top 20.... 25th is a decent result for us, I'll take it! Especially with the song not being very BJSC friendly for those who dwell outside of the Indie bloc :kink: Wow at that 18 swap with Seven, the taste :cheeseblock: Huge thanks to Seven, Dan & Mack for the medals and everyone else who voted for us!

Nate's Top 40 (7/6/24) #36
Hi James! Loving 'BRAT' at the moment, maybe the best album of the year for me  'Lunch' may climb in the next few weeks, maybe.... 'Houdini' is definitely one of the better Eminem songs of the past decade, even if it feels like he's purposefully asking for attention with some cheap digs (e.g. Megan Thee Stallion). Hi Dan! Disclosure are possibly the most consistent UK dance/electronic act for me, I love nearly every single from them  'places to be' issa bop. Hi Jade! Your thoughts on James & Disclosure are identical to mine lol, two of the UK's finest acts for sure. Was excited to see that James has an album with Lil Yachty coming out in only a few weeks called 'Bad Cameo', that should be excellent methinks! Hi Sergej! Fantastic that you're liking the debuts here!

BJSC 165 - FINAL RESULTS
I'd be delighted to see Jadakissnia, New Lexico or Sovarasma win of the major contenders! Trifoski and Persephonia to be dark horses I beg....

Rank Eminem's #1s
The first 4 are some of the best hip-hop tracks ever made imo  I also really enjoy 5-8. 'The Monster' just felt like too much like a re-hash of 'Love The Way You Lie', it's is better than LTWYL at least. The last two are horrendous, especially that Cheesy Fad collab :puke: 1. Lose Yourself 2. Stan 3. Without Me 4. The Real Slim Shady 5. Godzilla 6. Like Toy Soldiers 7. Houdini 8. Smack That 9. The Monster 10. Just Lose It 11. River

BRAT • 6th Album
This album SERVES. A full-on album packed full of dance bangers is exactly what we've needed from Charli for years now.... The writing is great, especially on really emotional and confessional tracks like 'So I' The beauty of this album for me is the concept of letting go and simply enjoying life. One of the best albums of the year for sure... Also, getting that 10 from Fantano is maybe the most coveted award on the planet, iconic :cheeseblock:

BuzzJack's Favourite Top 100 Hit of 2024 / Weeks 11 & 12
Week 11: Ariana Grande - bye | 11.0/10 Ariana Grande - we can't be friends (wait for your love) | 10.0/10 Galantis, David Guetta and 5 Seconds Of Summer - Lighter | 6.0/10 Gracie Abrams - I miss you, I'm sorry | 5.0/10 Jax Jones and Zoe Wees - Never Be Lonely | 4.0/10 Clavish - Uh Uh (feat. Fredo) | 3.5/10 4batz - act ii: date @ 8 (remix) (feat. Drake) | 3.0/10 'eternal sunshine' is one of the best pop albums of this year so far  'we can't be friends' really did stick out an instant highlight, I love the production so much (it really does call back to songs such as 'TRUSTFALL' and 'Dancing On My Own', two huge bangers btw). I do love the writing on the song, there's a real emotional depth on 'eternal sunshine' which I think Ariana hadn't delved massively into on previous records. 'bye' One of the best songs of the year and probably my fav pop song of the year. There are few songs that make me want to burst into a dance every time I hear it lol. The best song from the album imo. I do prefer the original of 'act ii: date @8' but it does feel a tad too TikTok-core for my liking. Agreed that it does sound like a trashy attempt at making a Brent Faiyaz song + the Drake verse feels badly pasted onto the track. 'Uh Uh' certainly sounds like a Clavish track alright :kink: I really dislike the production tbh and there are far too many cringy lyrics for me to enjoy it. The hook is annoyingly catchy tho. I've never gotten the Gracie Abrams hype, it's satisfactory at best x. The new Jax Jones single remains mid as ever. 'Lighter' is a light bop but I do blame Guetta for blandifying it slightly Week 12: Cardi B - Enough (Miami) | 8.0/10 Mark Knopfler's Guitar Heroes - Going Home | 7.0/10 Mark Ambor - Belong Together | 3.0/10 V - FRI(END)S | 3.0/10 ZAYN - What I Am | 3.0/10 Meghan Trainor and T-Pain - Been Like This | -1.0/10 'FRI(END)S' feels like some trashy single that Olly Murs would release these days. One of the worst songs from BTS members' solo projects. 'Going Home' may be lengthy but it's certainly something different in the chart, more like this please. For comedy purposes only, I've taken the bold decision to listen to Meghan's new album :o 'Been Like This' is utterly atrocious. What a diabolically gargantuan pile of steaming crap. Not even auto-tune god T-Pain can save this crime against humanity :cheeseblock: 'Enough' is a banger! Very catchy + the production is great. I've concluded that the worst solo material from 1D comes from Zayn. Instead of just being bad, 'What I Am' also puts me to sleep. I guess that's good in some way... 'Belong Together' is pretty rubbish as well xx

Jade's Top 40 | #375 (08.06.24)
Hi Jade! Ooh, nice to see 'Monolith' at #1! Was great to see that it qualified and hoping that it'll smash in the final :cheer: The top 10 this week truly is bangers from front to back  I'm really excited and intrigued to see the direction that Chappell will go in after the massive success that 'Good Luck, Babe!' has provided her. I should probably get around to listening to her debut one of these days..... It's been comforting to see 'BLUE' creep into the top 5 most streamed tracks from 'HIT ME HARD AND SOFT', I feared it would stay as an underrated gem. Lovely new peaks for 'Soon' and 'Sexy To Someone' as well! Some fantastic debuts this week, namely 'Like I Say', 'She's Gone, Dance On', 'Thrown Around' and 'places to be'. The new Bat For Lashes album is also high up on my list of albums I need to hear lol. I think I'll probably love it tbh. Incredible to see the new bop from Disclosure chart as highly as it is, their highest charting single as the main artist since 'Omen' I think :o Bad Omens X Bob Vylan sounds like a fascinating combo, will check that out!

Hi James! 'The Manuscript' is a great Taylor pick to go #1 :cheer: Great to see 'How Did It End?' and 'Dancing Star' climbing up the top 10 as well! Stanning the new peaks for 'Illusion', 'Good Luck, Babe!' & 'LUNCH'. Some great debuts for Billie this week, 'CHIHIRO' being the best for me  Great to see 'I Had Some Help' here!

The new monarchs of my chart are Bring Me The Horizon, Lil Uzi Vert and Daryl Palumbo thanks to the incredible 'AmEN!' (the actually celebrated it's 1st year anniversary earlier this week). BMTH narrowly missed out their first #1 back in January with 'Kool-Aid' which climbs up the top 20 today after a high re-entry. Twenty One Pilots score two new peaks in the top 10 today thanks to 'Clancy' album tracks 'Midwest Indigo' and 'Vignette'. Charli xcx and Brent Faiyaz also claim new peaks within the top 10 today. Lastly, Fred Again..'s latest banger featuring Anderson .Paak and CHIKA debuts at #8 :cheer:
