BJSC 163 💧 Semi-finals RESULTS
Nooooo, not another fantastic entry from Jadakissnia being denied entry to a Sovarasman final  I think shenanigans are going on behind the scenes!

BJSC 163 💧 Semi-finals RESULTS
And... My 12 is gone but not forgotten :nocheer: It was incredible to see Death Grips appear in BJSC, something that I would've never expected to see but I'm delighted that it did happen

BJSC 163 💧 Semi-finals RESULTS
WOW :o Thank you all so much for helping us through, I really didn't think we would make it  I'm sure Bré is now regretting not sending 'It's The Squeeze' :kink: In all fairness, the Persephonian entry was really good tbh

BJSC 163 💧 Semi-finals RESULTS
Very sad (albeit not surprised) that Rolloland haven't made it through, I gave quite a significant amount of points to them so this is my first real loss :(

BJSC 163 💧 Semi-finals RESULTS
Great that Conoria qualified, hopefully a big success in the final! Singerpurear's entry just missed out on votes from me so kinda disappointed to see that not make the final :(

BJSC 163 💧 Semi-finals RESULTS
Really hoping that the majority of my favs can qualify here (Scotland 2 to send Death Grips into the final pls)! I doubt that I'll qualify this time around but at least I really love my entry this time around  Hyped for the masterful presentation that will be shown off as well :D

Streaming Services Chart Discussion
That's incredible for Hozier, hopefully another top 5 single for him!

The Official Singles Chart - what should its future be?
Getting rid of streaming from the official chart would be absolutely ludicrous since (as others have mentioned) streaming is by far the most dominant format of consuming music and the most accurate method of presenting the UK's most popular songs. We do already have a sales chart as well :P

Baltimore Bridge Collapse
A horrendous incident indeed, the sheer speed of the bridge's collapse was very shocking to watch. Praying for the missing individuals and their families :(

Streaming Services Chart Discussion
I hear Travis Scott is also somehow featured on this album, I'm don't think he'll fit the presumed country vibe if he features on a song in that style

Future & Metro Boomin - WE DON'T TRUST YOU
It seems that 'Like That' (the Drake x J. Cole diss) will be the hit from this album, absolutely no complaints tho :cheer: The song is headed straight into the top 10 here in the UK this week and it seems like a surefire #1 debut over in the US (I think there's a 130 point margin between 'Like That' and the #2 for next week, crazy numbers). I am really enjoying the album right now! Metro certainly isn't enabling all of his diverse production skills on this project but he is showing that he can still make a banging trap beat in 2024 :D Future is probably better than he has ever been lyrically here, not too many questionable lyrics  The flaws of the album for me tend to be credited to repetitiveness more than anything else, I think the album would've worked much better as a 11-12 track record rather than a 17 track one. The features are great tho, especially Kendrick, Rick Ross, The Weeknd and Travis (poor Carti being the only one left out). Overall, not as good as 'HEROES & VILLAINS' but it probably is the best album Future has ever released. The main highlights for me were: 'Young Metro', 'Like That', 'Cinderella' & 'Everyday Hustle' There wasn't anything on this album that stood out as particularly bad but there are a few weak points ('Magic Don Juan (Princess Diana)' & 'GTA' for me). The album looks likely to debut at #2 in the UK but there is a slim chance that 'WE DON'T TRUST YOU' could overtake Elbow's latest album by the end of the week! -kSAvHlXRUs

Music Video Relevance
Oh yeah, I forgot that the video wan't released on either SAINt or Imanbek's channel  I just disregarded it as a "fan-made" video whilst I was scrolling through for results oop

Music Video Relevance
'Last Night' by Morgan Wallen was the biggest hit over in the US last year and I believe it didn't have an official video either (it did have a performance video iirc). Zach Bryan's 'I Remember Everything' has also been a pretty big hit internationally without a video. #1s in the UK that haven't had an official music video released this decade that come to mind: Kenya Grace's 'Strangers', Taylor Swift's 'Is It Over Now?' & SAINt JHN's 'Roses (Imanbek Remix)'

Which albums do you have multiple vinyl variants of?
Unashamedly quite a few  Some that immediately come to mind are my two copies of each of The Weeknd's masterpieces 'Dawn FM' and 'After Hours' (I have both albums' standard black editions then an alternative cover North America exclusive grey LP and a clear with red splatter copy respectively). I also have a standard copy and a signed chestnut brown edition of Noah Kahan's 'Stick Season'! Other ones that comes to mind are Blur's 'The Ballad Of Darren' (I think I have the standard copy and then a zoetrope editon), Jungle's 'Volcano' (a personally signed splatter vinyl and once again, a zoetrope), Travis Scott's 'UTOPIA' (the UK edition red vinyl and two 1st edition copies from the US - these editions don't have 'MELTDOWN' and instead have Lil Uzi Vert's 'Aye' on the tracklist), Everything Everything's 'Mountainhead' (a personally signed copy and a tri-colour edition) and Daft Punk's 'Random Access Memories' (the og version and the 10th anniversary version). There will probably be more then that tho...

Nate's Top 40 (22/3/24) #25
Hi Whoddy! That was some unfortunate timing on my part  'Overcompensate' pretty much clicked with me straight away after it's debut on Radio 1, I can see it being a pretty long-running song on my chart. Vampire Weekend are shaping up themselves to have a fantastic album on their hands, I hope they announce a UK tour soon. Kacey's album is pretty good, much better than her last at least for me. The end does get a bit sonically repetitive but the start does have its fair share of gems. Hi James! It is indeed a huge bop! Hopefully it can have a bit of longevity on my chart as well as the actual UK chart. Hi Sergej! 'Capricorn' may well hit #1 soon here, one of my fav songs ever from Vampire Weekend  'Supernatural' has to be a single, I'd love to see another music video with Troye in it as well! I found 'Deeper Well' (the song) a tad mid when I first heard it but it has really grown on me since hearing it in the context of the album.

Jade's Top 40 | #364 (24.03.24)
Hi Jade! Fantastic to see 'we can't be friends (wait for your love)' remain at #1 here! I'm pretty disappointed at several Spotify playlists (especially HHUK) not placing this high enough, I feel like it could've been #1 in the UK this week if it had some improved playlist support :( Here's hoping for some physicals to be released at some point... I would certainly not oppose to 'Claw' hitting #1 in the weeks ahead, I should definitely check out more of Chalk's discography at some point. 'Loddfáfnir' is easily one of the best tracks of Semi 1, I found the overall quality to be pretty underwhelming tbh. Anyway, hoping that qualifies! This CHROMA project from Bicep is proving to be exceptional thus far, let's hope that the upcoming volumes are to the standard of the first two! Great to see 'My Lady Of Mercy' and 'Mirror' debut for TLDP :cheer: Delighted at the debuts for 'Classical' and 'Time :: Fate :: Karma :: God' I tried to get tickets for the Sunday at Big Weekend (Coldplay + Vampire Weekend + Everything Everything and some other great names, what a lineup) but it sold out so quickly, I considered putting in a Luton postcode as you could get tickets that way but I'm too kind to deprive the locals of more tickets :kink: Oh, and poor, brave Abel stalling at #2 with both 'After Hours' and 'Blinding Lights' in your chart flashback

RESULTS: The Killers Singles Rate 2K24
'Peace Of Mind' coming last is a pretty fair result (I would've controversially preferred 'Bones' at the bottom tho...). 'Shadowplay' is decent but not particularly interesting, perhaps it deserved to be a bit higher!

WhoOdyssey's Top 50 - 22/3/24
Hi Whoddy! Incredible to see 'Overcompensate' at #1 :cheer: Easily one of my favourite songs to be released this year  Loving to see that new peak for 'Paul Revere' as well! Great to see the debuts for 'Time :: Fate :: Karma :: God' and 'Classical' (I think i'll enjoy the Flo Milli track as well, I should get around to listening to her album at some point). I'm also pleased to see the new peaks for 'we can't be friends', 'Capricorn' and 'Call Me After Midnight'!

JSG'S Top 40 • #105 • 21/03/24
Hi James! I'm here for even more climbs for those Caroline tracks, especially delighted to see 'Coma' and 'Butterfly Net' crack the top 10! Also pleased to see 'TEXAS HOLD 'EM' hit a new peak, only one week until the poorly titled album is released :kink: Very happy to see the new entries for Ariana as well, some great taste shown with those picks  Yay at Everything Everything also getting some new peaks this week, cool to see 'The Mad Stone' in the top 5 (it has grown on me quite a bit since it was first released)! Lovely to see 'Training Season' hit a new peak as well, bring on 'Radical Optimism'!

Sergej's Personal Chart 21.03.2024
Hi Sergej! I'm thrilled to see 'The End Of The Contender' creep up towards the top five :cheer: I'm also very pleased to see 'Gasoline' hit a new peak, the 'Dawn FM' era was truly outstanding. Grear to see the new peaks for 'Oh No :: He Said What?' and 'we can't be friends' as well!
