Vampire Weekend's 'Capricorn' also rises to a new peak today at #2 following the announcement that they are headlining Radio 1's Big Weekend alongside Coldplay, RAYE & Chase & Status. Justice bag another top five hit thanks to 'Incognito' this week and Ariana Grande also gets two new peaks for 'imperfect for you' and 'we can't be friends (wait for your love)' in the top 10. Future & Metro Boomin - WE DON'T TRUST YOU
The album is OUT NOW!!! I haven't listened to the album yet but it's been getting a pretty positive reception thus far, hype! And... The Weeknd, Travis Scott, Rick Ross, Playboi Carti & Kendrick Lamar are featured :cheer: The latter has also dissed Drake + J. Cole after Cole's big 3 line in Drake's 'First Person Shooter' where Cole basically says that Drake + J. Cole + Kendrick are the three best rappers in the game. It seems like the Drake x Future Love affair is over  I0fgkcTbBoI

Nate's Top 40 (15/3/24) #24
Hi Jade! 'eternal sunshine' What a truly fantastic project from Ari, possibly even her best already for me. She really did do a incredible performance of those two songs on SNL, hoping for some more promo/possibly a tour to help give this era even more longevity! I really have no clue why I prefer the Troye version of 'supernatural' to the original but I really do, more collabs between this dynamic due pls :D 'Incognito' is yet another fantastic track from Justice's upcoming album, perhaps it'll be their best to date (maybe their most commercially successful as well). 'Deer Teeth' has been bubbling under my chart for a few weeks but I'm pretty pleased with it entering now. I wasn't really enlightened by the Saturday lineup of Big Weekend (with an exception for RAYE & Shygirl), a rather drab lineup imo. But... the Sunday lineup is so, so good! Coldplay, Vampire Weekend and Everything Everything in the same day?!?!?! What a stacked list of names :cheeseblock: I know that Luton is rather far from where I stay but last year was such an incredible experience, I'm very tempted to purchase tickets once again (the tickets are also really reasonably priced - £34 including booking fees for a day this year :o)

Camila Cabello feat. Playboi Carti - I LUV IT
This sounds absolutely terrible lol. I also can't tell whether she is saying 'I Love It' or 'Elevate' oop. Carti, what are you doing here! The once underground artist has now well and truly sold-out

Nate's Top 40 (15/3/24) #24
Hi James! 'bye' has certainly had quite a split reception here which is a bit surprising to me  Agreed that the album is of a very high standard, possibly my fav Ari record to date already :o Indeed 'we can't be friends' is Ariana at the peak of her musical abilities and powers, more bangers pls Queen! Idk why 'Training Season' dropped out last week lol. Anyway, hyped for both 'Radical Optimism' and her headlining set at Glastonbury in a few months :cheer: 'Ordinary Things' was one of my least favourite songs from the album although I still really like it. Incredible to see feature GOAT Nonna breaking records across the world with her appearance on the song, she should feature on more tracks :D Hi Sergej! This may possibly be the last week for 'Overcompensate' at #1. I feel like the #1 may go to Ariana, again.. :kink: I haven't really paid attention to Laufey so far in her career but 'Goddess' has really struck me  I should really check out the rest of her discography! Hi Jack! 'Deer Teeth' has just been hovering outside of my top 40 for a few weeks now so I'm happy to hear that you are advocating it's appearance! I'm sure you'll really enjoy 'Goddess', a stunning piece of work from Laufey

Rank Ariana's 2nd singles
1. God is a woman 2. 7 rings 3. we can't be friends 4. Into You 5. Break Free (feat. Zedd) 6. 34+35 7. Baby I 'God Is A Woman' and '7 rings' are both Ari essentials for me, 'we can't be friends' may well get in the top 2 soon tho. 'Into You' and 'Break Free' are both massive bangers as well. I like '34+35' but not one of Ari's classic singles by any means imo. And 'Baby I' is also there x

Jade's Top 40 | #363 (16.03.24)
Hi Jade! Very pleased to see 'we can't be friends (wait for your love)' debut at #1 here, a mega-bop I fear :D The video is also a masterful work of art  Overjoyed to see 'imperfect for you' chart highly in someone else's chart as well, an underrated gem indeed  I do really like 'I Wish I Hated You' (although one of the weaker tracks on the album for me) and 'supernatural' as well (the Troye version does elevate the track's quality by quite a bit, he fits the song's aesthetic very well imo). I'll have to check out that new 'Claw' as well, I have enjoyed a few previous releases from Chalk! Very pleased to see the new peaks for 'stayinit' and 'City Song' in the top 20 as well (hoping the former especially becomes an even bigger hit here :D). Elsewhere, I'm also very happy to see 'Enter The Mirror' and 'Broken Man' getting new peaks outside of the top 40. As for the other 'eternal sunshine' tracks charting here, I'm really loving the title track right now and 'the boy is mine' + 'true story' have really grown on me since I first heard the album. 'My Lady Of Mercy' is a fantastic pick from TLDP (idk why 'Nothing Matters' had to be the hit from 'Prelude To Ecstasy', there are so many better tracks from it imo ). Incognito charting here :cheeseblock: Justice are really delivering with this era so far, I guess there's a lot of hype for 'Hyperdrama' lol
-
Justin Timberlake - Everything I Thought It Was
I think he'll most likely debut at #2 again behind Ariana, there is always still a chance he will get the #1 tho! I didn't really enjoy the singles but will listen to the album soon to see if it's any better.

Sergej's Personal Chart 14.03.2024
Hi Sergej! Awesome to see 'The End Of The Contender' in the top 10  Lovely to see the new peaks for 'Gasoline', 'Oh No :: He Said What?' and 'Happier'

WhoOdyssey's Top 50 - 15/3/24
Hi Whoddy! 'Showtime' has actually grown on me quite a bit over the week, I'm appreciating it more now :D Overjoyed to see 'Overcompensate' debut in the top 2 here as well, hopefully a #1 in the coming weeks. I'm impressed to see 'run for the hills' in the top 10 as well, it really deserves a push as a single ('exes' has had it's time x). 'stayinit' is a massive banger, one of Fred's best recently  Loving those two new Ariana tracks that debuted here as well. Also very happy to see 'Call Me After Midnight' chart here, one of my favs from an otherwise pretty stale Bleachers album imo

JSG'S Top 40 • #104 • 14/03/24
Hi James! 'Loneliness' creeping closer to the top 5, we love to see it! Great to see that new peak for 'Hiss' as well. I'm thrilled to see Caroline still doing really well here  Especially pleased to see the new peaks for 'Coma' and 'Butterfly Net'. That's a lovely album bomb for EE as well, liking most of the picks here (especially 'Wild Guess' and 'Enter The Mirror'). Lovely to see that new peak for 'TEXAS HOLD'EM' as well. Talking of Beyoncé, I hate the new title for her upcoming album oop  (it should've stayed as ACT II imo).

Machinedrum & Tinashe - ZOOM [40] Twenty-One Pilots manage to overcome both Fred Again.. + friends and a huge Ariana Grande album bomb to get a 2nd week at #1 :cheer: 'Overcompensate' remains at #1 for another weeks thanks to some high streams, the gap was very close between the top three tho! The highest debut of Grande's gargantuan album bomb comes in the form of 'bye' which has seemed to have split the forum, It's one of the best songs of the album idc what you think  Ari also gets two other top 10 debuts with the underrated gem 'imperfect for you' and the bop that everyone agrees should be the next UK #1, 'we can't be friends (wait for your love)'. The latter always felt like it was going to be a hit when I first saw the title of the song in February, brackets typically suggest that a song is intended to be a hit. The first single from Charli XCX's upcoming album 'brat' (the infectious 'Von dutch') is also on the rise this week hitting a new peak of #6. Finally, Justice have served us with another incredible single from their upcoming album 'Hyperdrama', meaning that 'Incognito' debuts in the top 10 this week.

Finally, Justice have served us with another incredible single from their upcoming album 'Hyperdrama', meaning that 'Incognito' debuts in the top 10 this week. eternal sunshine • 7th album
Those are fantastic sales :cheer: I think the album might even stay at #1 next week (I think JT is the only main competition, unless I'm forgetting someone else).

BuzzJack's Favourite Top 100 Hit of 2024 / Weeks 9 & 10
Week 9: SZA - Saturn | 10.0/10 Yeat - Breathe | 8.5/10 The Blessed Madonna - Happier (feat. Clementine Douglas) | 8.0/10 Catfish And The Bottlemen - Showtime | 6.5/10 Rudimental and Skepsis - Green & Gold (feat. Charlotte Plank and Riko Dan) | 6.5/10 Pozer - Kitϲhen Stove | 6.0/10 Dasha - Austin | 5.0/10 Central Cee - I Will | 3.5/10 Alex Warren - Before You Leave Me | 3.0/10 Selena Gomez - Love On | 3.0/10 mgk - dont let me go | 0.5/10 Saturn is an absolute stunner from SZA, one of my favourite songs from 2023 for sure. The melody is so catchy and SZA is on another level vocally for this track. I wonder if we'll ever get 'LANA' anytime soon (it did take 5 years for the CTRL deluxe to be released so I'm not getting my hopes up x). 'I Will' is cringy af imo  It is still better than 'LET GO' and 'Doja' but still one of the worst Cench songs that I've heard, at least the production really good (and the cover art is unique). Always lovely to see some Jersey Club in the charts but 'iamspamspamamiStove' doesn't bring anything new to the genre. The verses are decent but the production (especially the percussion) feels just like a slowed down version of many Jersey Club hits (mainly 'Just Wanna Rock), apart from that the song is decent. Idk what it is that I don't like about 'Showtime' but I feel like it's missing something to make it more exciting, it does sounds like a grower tho. 'Love On' sounds like a really trashy and cringy remake of Fifty Fifty's 'Cupid' imo (that 'mathematical equation' line, seriously :kink:). I'm really not hyped for this upcoming Selena album at all (but I only like a few Selena songs anyway, mostly from her last album). I prefer 'Green & Gold' to 'Dancing Is Healing' in terms of Rudimental X Charlotte Plank collabs. The Riko Dan verse is solid but the production feels a little bit predictable at this stage for Rudimental. Thrilled to see The Blessed Madonna get her first UK chart hit as a lead artist! 'Marea' is the better of her UK hits but 'Happier' is a banger, finally a credited hit for Clementine Douglas where her vocals sound good in the chorus  If only 'Mercy' had been a hit for The Blessed Madonna :( 'Austin' is by no means a bad song but It's just not my thing really, it is kinda fun so I'll give it that as least. Hearing 'don't let me go' makes me want mgk to go back to pop-punk (and I hate most of his pop-punk material oop). Potentially the worst single I've ever heard from him, he doesn't fit the beat at all (which is a pretty lazy and bland production). 'Before You Leave Me' is simply another forgettable, disposable song from an influencer. 'Breathe' may not be my favourite from Yeat's latest album but is still a huge banger, I'm hoping for more hits for Yeat in the future over here. Week 10: twenty one pilots - Overcompensate | 11.0/10 Fred again.., Lil Yachty and Overmono - stayinit | 10.5/10 Charli XCX - Von dutch | 9.5/10 RAYE - Worth It. | 7.0/10 Skrapz - Cuban Links (feat. Nines and D-Block Europe) | 7.0/10 Olly Alexander - Dizzy | 6.5/10 ¥$ - FUK SUMN (feat. Playboi Carti & Travis Scott) | 5.0/10 Myles Smith - Solo | 3.0/10 Pharrell Williams and Miley Cyrus - Doctor (Work It Out) | 3.0/10 I was intrigued by 'Von dutch' on my first listen but I wasn't totally enamoured by it... Until my 2nd listen  A mega-bop I fear :cheeseblock: Overcompensate making the top 40 was a massive yet overwhelmingly euphoric surprise :cheer: (quite a clever move to drop an edited version to help push it into the top 40). It's probably my favourite song of the year so far, The Prodigy-esque drums at the start are incredible and Tyler really has some fantastic flows in him. Much better than anything from their last album (which was pretty bad oop). Hyped for 'Clancy', I feel another 'Trench' is coming.... 'Worth It.' is another goodun from Raye's album, perhaps one of the weaker tracks tho (only because the rest of the album is of an incredibly high standard). I heard a lot about how good the production was on 'Dizzy', I don't think it's bad but it does sound a bit cheap imo (perhaps Steps might fit well on it x). I get the Pet Shop Boys vibes as well. The song defo picks up the pace quality-wise towards the end for me, solid Eurovision entry (will be very annoyed if this doesn't outperform 'I Wrote A Song' by quite a bit). When a song usually gets left off of an album, there is always a reason. Idk why Pharrell wanted to release this now, it has majorly flopped after all (as it should, what a cringefest). 'Cuban Links' does have a beat that I think Nines would probably use on one of his albums so no surprise that he's on this. It is a bit of a banger even with D Block Europe on the track. 'stayinit' is a MASSIVE BANGER. Crazy but much appreciated to see Overmono in the UK charts, please can we see more of them here? The drop is absolutely insane (and obviously majorly influenced by Overmono rather than Fred). Yachty is possibly the most versatile rapper right now, he can basically feature on anything/try his hand at any genre and sound great. Maybe my favourite Fred again song already (although 'Delilah' and 'Jungle' say hello)? The Myles Smith song is yet more easily disposable folk-pop. 'FUK SUMN' was one of my least fav songs from 'VULTURES 1' when I first listened to the album, it has grown a little on me. We didn't need another terrible deep-voice Carti verse + Kanye's verse is pretty bad. However, Travis is good on the song tho and I do quite like the production.

Kanye West & Ty Dolla $ign - Vultures 1
I do like 'CARNIVAL' more in comparison to when I first heard it but, there are simply too much questionable lyrics for me to get really into it (kinda goes for the rest of the album as well). In other news, 'VULTURES 2' looks like it's on the way....

Beyoncé - COWBOY CARTER
LOL at that title :basil: Firstly, Lana calling her upcoming country album 'Lasso' then this travesty  The cover art also looks a 'little' less striking then 'Renaissance's :D
