Glad Plastique finally got a win but I can’t at it being another corset! :lol: I’m definitely in the minority in that I don’t really care for Yvie’s delivery of critiques. I mean she started that argument with Vanjie; Vanjie even said that she only picked Yvie because she critiqued her and knew it was true, in a non-serious answer to RuPaul.. I just think there is a time and place and sometimes Yvie just critiques without thinking “wait should I just keep it to myself and tell them later on” rather than “everyone is sat together I’m going to critique you now”. As much as a dislike Silky, I actually think her reasoning (that Yvie was injured) is fairly valid after what we saw with Eureka when she injured her knee, but why did Yvie then have to say that she did more with her injured ankle that Silky could ever do, as if to say that Silky can’t do what Yvie does. That to me isn’t a critique, it’s saying that she’s better than Silky and that is no different to Silky thinking she’s better than everyone. I’m obviously watching a different show to the rest of you as I think Yvie, Silky and Rajah are definitely the worst three for not being able to take critiques. It might be a case of Yvie not getting bad critiques from the judges yet so I’ll sit to see if she’s ever in the bottom to see how she reacts, and I’m happy to be proven wrong.

Scarlet, Nina and Brooke were my top three (in that order) with Plastique a close 4th. In terms of bottom, definitely should have been Ariel v Silky, with Akeria also in the bottom three (I found her looks very pedestrian).

02 | Arcanine | 8.750 Along with Growlithe, Arcanine is my favourite Pokemon of all time. I remember it being the first Pokemon card I ever received and was so disappointed when it turned out that I had to trade it to my Pokemon Blue version! Arcanine is a "legendary" Pokemon (although not in the traditional sense), boasting very high stats with powerful fire-type moves, and needing a fire stone to be evolved from Growlithe. There are a lot of Arcanine seen in the anime, most noticeably Gary's Arcanine. In the beta for Pokemon Red and Blue, Arcanine's original name was supposed to be Blaze... I like Arcanine WAY better!! :lol: With 150 Pokemon already out the way, this means your winner is... 01 | Squirtle | 8.958 So close to a 9 average for Squirtle. A very deserving winner, it is often thought of as the "cool" starter Pokemon, evidenced by the Squirtle Squad in the anime and being a kick-ass water type! It also seems to be the "in" starter Pokemon of choice, with Ash, May, Gary and Tierno all owning one at one point or another!

Your final two; Arcanine and Squirtle, Squirtle and Arcanine, are coming later today/tomorrow. Which one has claimed the total of Buzzjack’s Favourite Generation 1 Pokemon?

Probably should have worded that a little better, the one he sees flying WAS Ho-Oh! It was in the second episode where he mistook the picture of Articuno (the one with the other birds and Arcanine) as Ho-Oh. ^_^

08 | Scyther | 8.458 First up at #8 we have Scyther. I'm actually really surprised this managed to make it into the top 10, it's definitely the least deserving in my mind but let's not rain on it's parade! Seen as a parallel to Pinsir due to them both having a base stat total of 500 and both being Bug Pokemon, this one definitely has the upper hand of being more badass. I've never really used it in any of the games, and it didn't really come into prevalence until generation 2, where it was gym leader Bugsy's main Pokemon. It did, however, let you storm to victory in the National Park competition if you managed to catch one with full health. Always made sure I had enough Park balls to catch one! It also isn't that much of a standout in the anime either; the aforementioned one used by Bugsy is again the most noticeable. 07 | Articuno | 8.500 In at #7 is the final legendary Kanto bird, Articuno. Possibly the most graceful of the three, it's appearance was mistaken by Ash in the anime of that of Ho-Oh!! It was also the last generation 1 Pokemon to be included in the anime, not even appearing in the first season (not debuting until the 187th episode!!). I always loved trying to catch Articuno solely for the fact that I have a fond appreciation of the Seafoam Islands. They were an absolute nightmare at times, and with it being in the middle of the sea meant a constant supply of hyper potions and super repels to make the journey easier. I also actually used Articuno sometimes against the Elite Four, which I can't say for Moltres and Zapdos... A little tidbit...other than Smeargle (and Poliwrath in generation 2), Articuno is the only Pokemon that can learn both an accuracy-focusing move and a one-hit KO move (Mind Reader and Sheer Cold respectively). A deadly combination if not taken care of very quickly).
