  1. Ikr, would NEVER have guessed!
  2. Oh I've just noticed! :o
  3. Aw Jesus. Gross.
  4. Howdy y'all! My name is Oliver, 28 in five days time, and I'm also from the north east of England (Blyth to be exact but my nearest city is Newcastle so I normally just say there ). I've been a Paramore fan since the very beginning (:o), having heard their songs 'Pressure' on Kerrang and 'Emergency' on a fan-made video of horror film Stay Alive in late 2005/early 2006!!! Having also been a fan of Fall Out Boy and Panic! at the Disco since 2005 as well you can say I've got a soft spot for the indie label Fueled by Ramen. ^_^ I've had all of their albums, including The Singles Club (good shout Lindsey with 'Hello Cold World'), and even created a Paramore fan website as part of my university degree! I've also been to see them live in Newcastle in 2010, and tried (but failed :() to get tickets for Parahoy in 2014 as it was sailing on my birthday. In terms of albums, I'd have to say Riot! is my favourite, followed closely by Paramore and All We Know is Falling. Possibly controversial not having Brand New Eyes in the top three! :kink:
  5. Voted. One song stood out FAR more than any of the other in this semi. Hoping it qualifies!
  6. 21 | Wartortle | 7.833 22 | Psyduck | 7.833 23 | Slowpoke | 7.818 24 | Poliwhirl | 7.792 25 | Kadabra | 7.792 26 | Rapidash | 7.750 27 | Victreebel | 7.667 28 | Haunter | 7.667 29 | Hitmonchan | 7.667 30 | Dragonair | 7.667 Starting us off is the final of the three dragon Pokemon, Dragonair. Perhaps due to being stronger than Dratini, and more likely to be used than Dragonite is the reason it is higher than both? I've always liked to use it, just a shame it's pure dragon and not a dual type. The other fighting Pokemon based on someone in real life is at #29. As the name suggests, Hitmonchan is based off legendary fighter/actor Jackie Chan; not sure where the boxing gloves come into it though. There are a host of second stage Pokemon in this section, namely Haunter at #28, Kadabra at #25, Poliwhirl at a surprising #24 and Wartortle at #21. Poliwhirl is the only one I wouldn't have put in the top 30 out of those four, the others each have something about them; whether being a strong water type start Pokemon, being big in the anime and helping Ash to defeat Sabrina, or being one of the broken psychic type Pokemon in the first generation. In generation 1 I tend to stay clear of single-type Pokemon (with the exception of Arcanine because it is literally my joint favourite Pokemon), so I wouldn't use any of these personally! Next we have the Pokemon with what could be considered the loudest, shrillest scream going, Victreebel. Well known for constantly eating James in the anime, it does very respectively in here, finishing at #27. At a pretty disappointing #26 is Rapidash. I expected this to finish much higher, considering there are still two full fire-type families left to come (where will they finish?). I guess it kinda doesn't really do anything that Arcanine or Ninetales doesn't already do... Finally we have, side by side, two of the dopiest Pokemon going. Considering they are psychic types they don't seem to show it! Slowpoke, at #23, constantly leaves its tail in the water waiting for a Shellder to clamp on to it. Perhaps it might be brainy enough to know it'll evolve in that case, perhaps not. Even worse is literal slowpoke Psyduck at #22. Misty is the not so proud owner of this in the anime, and one thing that could be said about it is that it and it's evolution's names should have been switched. It would have worked much better having it as Golduck and the other, with a jewel on it's head, being called Psyduck.
  7. I use earphones for the gym but I have a lovely pair of headphones for general listening. Need to get them fixed though! :(
  8. Ooooo, this is a welcome addition! ^_^
  9. 51 | Venusaur | 7.292 52 | Pikachu | 7.292 53 | Staryu | 7.292 54 | Gastly | 7.250 55 | Marowak | 7.250 56 | Dratini | 7.250 57 | Hitmonlee | 7.167 58 | Jynx | 7.167 59 | Dragonite | 7.167 60 | Cubone | 7.125 Sorry for the delay, had a stag do to go to and only just recovered! #lad  At #60 in this section is the lovable Cubone. I don't really involve Cubone or it's evolution Marowak (also in this section at #55) in my teams, I just don't really feel the need for them. Marowak is well known for being the ghost at the top of Pokemon Tower in Lavender Town, and has recently been given an Alolan form in Pokemon Sun and Moon! I'm very surprised at our next entry; at #59 is the pseudo-legendary Pokemon Dragonite. One of the most powerful Pokemon in the original games, he is often used by Lance of the Elite Four, and is only available right at the end of the game, having your Dragonair level up to a whopping 55!!! Dragonite can fly at Mach 2, circling the globe in roughly 16 hours. It's beginning evolution, Dratini, actually finishes higher at #56, probably due to the cuteness factor and the fact there is more chance of actually seeing and using this Pokemon... ...unless everyone just LOVED the Celadon Game Corner and collected all them monies. I would have thought Jynx would have been lower than #58, especially with just how creepy she looks..., and straight after at #57 is another humanoid Pokemon Hitmonlee, who's name is a portmanteau of hit, monster and lee (from the famed martial artist Bruce Lee). Ghastly, the ghost Pokemon that accompanies Marowak in Pokemon Tower, is at #54. One of a variety of Pokemon evolution lines that involves trading to evolve, it can be found as early as Sprout Tower in Pokemon Gold and Silver. Another Pokemon that needed a different way to evolve, spinning its way to #53 is Staryu. Arguably the most famous Pokemon of all time, Pikachu, falters very much so in this rate, not even making the top 50! Landing at a very disappointing #52, I imagine it being shoved down our throats and not actually being that great meant it didn't appeal. Who knows? Finally in this section is the first of the three final starter evolutions. Finishing well below their counterparts, Venusaur stumbles in at #50. Whilst Bulbasaur is known for being the best to use in the early game, I just don't see Venusaur being as strong as Blastoise and Charizard; especially in Pokemon Blue where there are very few fire Pokemon to choose from and choosing Charmander at the start is more a necessity than a choice.
  10. Really surprised to see FSR Rontvia in last place, definitely didn’t deserve that! Very happy with 13th considering the Plug reaction! 😂😂😂
  11. Thank you to everyone that voted! Had a feeling it would do well but I completely agree re: the darker baseline in the chorus, it’s one of the reasons why I picked it. ^_^
  12. I think they should have the lipsyncs, but for entertainment purposes only, and still have the winner based on how they’ve performed overall.
  13. Right I've voted! Would rather have had the country names in the Google form but I see that has already come up!
  14. I'll definitely give you hype, it was a potential of mine! :kink:
  15. Will get my votes in before midnight either by the form or PM or both.
  16. Rotom when it gained the different type combinations for its different variations of household appliance! :kink:
  17. 101 | Pidgeotto | 6.375 102 | Golduck | 6.375 103 | Lickitung | 6.375 104 | Clefable | 6.292 105 | Rhyhorn | 6.250 106 | Tentacruel | 6.167 107 | Magneton | 6.167 108 | Hypno | 6.125 109 | Koffing | 6.125 110 | Pinsir | 6.083 Starting us off in the last batch before the top 100 is Pinsir. A relatively average Pokemon and the "other half" of Scyther, I've never really seen it as overly popular, hence it's low placing. Probably because there isn't really anyone of note that actually uses it in battle. Not far ahead of its evolution, at #109 is Team Rocket bad boy Koffing. The eternally joyful of the two floating poison mines, Koffing made 29 appearances in the anime as James' go to weapon of choice before evolving in "Dig Those Diglett!". At #108 is Hypno. No. Just no. Moving on, at a relatively low #107 is electric Pokemon Magneton. I'm not actually sure why this is so low, it's a fairly solid electric type which gained the steel typing from generation 2 onwards (and, along with Magnemite, was the only Pokemon to change typing up until generation 5)! I actually like using Tentacruel in my team if I don't start Squirtle, it's a very solid water-type Pokemon that can be caught as soon as you gain access to Surf. Rhyhorn is up next at #105. Not being able to be caught until the Safari Zone might put some people off including it in their teams, but the powerhouse that is Rhydon (who is still to come) quells that somewhat. Maybe that's why the evolution is higher? In a swap around, the evolution this time is lower down our list; Clefable tumbles into the chart at #104. Possibly due to needing a Moon stone to evolve Clefairy, its yet another Pokemon I'm surprised to see this low down (especially not making the top 100 at least). What can we say about Lickitung? Another Pokemon who, like Diglett, is probably more known for the memes than any form of actual use in the game, it was another of Team Rocket's go to Pokemon (making 17 appearances). Jessie accidentally traded it for a Wobbuffet at a swap meet, paving the way for an even more useless Pokemon to emerge. At #102 is Golduck, the evolution of Psyduck and a fairly unremarkable Pokemon in general. Finally in this section we have Pidgey's first evolution Pidgeotto. One of Ash's main companions for the early part of the anime, it continues the arc of solid if basic flying-type before evolving into the magestic Pidgeot. Also, it's generation 1 sprite is GOD AWFUL!
  18. I'll join once I'm back from the gym, hopefully it hasn't finished come 9:45pm-ish. ^_^
  19. More coming tomorrow! ^_^ EDIT Very hectic this past few days :drama: will get the next batch up tomorrow evening!
  20. Reconfirmed!
  21. 131 | Goldeen | 5.333 132 | Drowzee | 5.292 133 | Pidgey | 5.208 134 | Abra | 5.167 135 | Muk | 5.125 136 | Diglett | 5.083 137 | Grimer | 5.083 138 | Golbat | 5.000 139 | Rattata | 4.833 140 | Raticate | 4.833 For the most part Izzy we are still keeping the evolutions fairly close to each other! First up tonight we have the pesky rat Pokemon Rattata, and its evolution Raticate. Found on almost every single route in the first-generation games, Rattata is well known for being fodder of the Youngsters in the Pokemon world. Surprisingly they both get the exact same average score in this; Raticate must leave SUCH a mark on people after evolving… In at a surprising #138 is Golbat, who I thought might have cracked the top 100 mainly due to its evolution, Crobat, being quite popular in competitive gameplay. With an even 5.0 average it easily outshines Zubat. Grimer and Muk slime their way into #137 and #135 respectively. Arriving late in the games and only really having one episode of note in the anime it’s understandable that these two may have been forgotten! Popping up in between them at #136 is Diglett. Probably more well known for its memes than its ability, at least this Pokemon actually has a location named after it (albeit completely pointless once the player gets access to Fly… Perennial teleporter Abra makes a lowly appearance in this rate at #134 (I wonder why?...), and its only redeeming factor is how OP its final evolution Alakazam is in this first generation (it’ll be a while before we get to him though). A very surprising early appearance for Pidgey here at #133. Possibly another that, like Rattata, was marked down for being shoved down our throats too much in the early parts of the game, it at least offers a better evolutionary line than its more rugged cousin Spearow (as evidenced in the comments above). Finishing up this part of the rate are Drowzee (#132) and Goldeen (#131). I’m actually a bit surprised that Drowzee finished lower than its evolution Hypno (and how high he seems to be) but Goldeen is probably where I would have put her. She’s OK I guess but so non-descript compared to some of the other Water Pokemon. At least she has that iconic chant in the anime. Goldeen, Goldeen, Goldeen, Goldeen… h9X4f8Zx6vs
  22. Next batch coming tomorrow, any predictions?
  23. Have you already lost a fave Cody?
  24. Really surprised that both Spearow and Fearow are in the bottom 10, as well as Tentacool! :o
