Wiley sold out in my opinion
Dont really think he has sold out, he still makes music for his original audience, he has recently made 15 freestyles and put them up for free download for his orignal fans, the reason he is making songs like Heatwave is because he has just been signed and i think he may be under a bit of pressure to achieve a good chart position.

I bet Black Heart has been played on the radio hundreds of times today, so I'm probably not the only one who thinks it's summery.
I think 2011 had a lot of great summer songs though, like Black and Yellow, E.T., Buzzin', Down With the Trumpets, Don't Go, I'm Into You, Set Fire to the Rain, Right There, The Lazy Song (even though I HATED it ), Heart Skips a Beat, Heaven, Party Rock Anthem, Give Me Everything, etc.
I dont see them 2 as summery but the rest i agree, i guess everyone is entitled to their own opinions.

Sorry if any are incorrect due to my stupid mistakes. :P Obviously it's not totally correct as this is only from top 100 positions, Kworb goes no lower than that.
Thanks for that, i was curious how it all looked combined but couldn't be bothered to do all the adding up

This should probably be in the iTunes album thread but Talk That Talk is back up #3 on the album chart because it is £3.99, this is the first time i've seen an album for that much on iTunes
Also is Wiley releasing "Heatwave" this week? I think that it could be a shock #1 whenever it is released, its airplay has been crazy, its everywhere on Radio 1 and Capital FM also on all the music channels.

Rita Ora is signed to Jay-Z's label I think. I do want her to release her song asap tbh. We need movement in the top 10.
On a semi-related note, she's already announced a new US single (since How We Do has flopped there). It's called Radioactive. I think she should've tried R.I.P, but hopefully her new song is good. Could be her 4th #1 here. :drama:
Rita seems like one of them artists that's going to get loads of #1 singles in the UK, i dont see her breaking America just yet though.

I genuinely don't know how "Starships" had that much momentum. 21 weeks and I skip it everytime. In the UK or in the US? in the UK you still hear it EVERYWHERE! it's on TV shows, Clubs, all the music channels, Capital FM still play it constantly and it's been out since February

There's so many songs that have outstayed their welcome it's ridiculous.
'Drive By', 'Somebody That I Used To Know', 'Bangarang', 'Sexy And I Know It', 'Domino', 'Mama Do The Hump' ... I could go on.
You can add Starships to that list aswell on a different note Starships has spent 21 consecutive weeks in the in the top 10 in America  they must be sick of it

iTunes Weekly Thread: W/C 2nd September 2012
in UK Charts
Just shows that being 59p helped this song so much, as soon as they increased the price it is plummeting.
