    Well anyone predicting WHYB to be bigger than We Found Love was an idiot really but this has a smaller mountain to climb. I think it could get RELATIVELY close to Starships but I don't think it will be bigger. What has Starships sold by now?

     

    According to the YTD thread it has sold 645,000.

    I'm sure JME will get a #1 if, no sorry, WHEN, he gets signed to a proper record label. :wub: I have faith in him. I never thought I'd see Dot Rotten get a top 20 hit, and look what happened there. :lol:

     

    The thing is that JME claims he will NEVER make a mainstream song so i doubt he will ever get a #1 :lol:

    If Starships and Turn Me On couldn't make it how could this? Not saying it won't go top 5 but #1, no.

     

    Starships made it to #2 with less hype around it, now she has a couple of big festivals like Wireless, V festival and she's headlining Radio 1 big weekend, hopefully she releases the video on time as well, that should help it.

    I love Nicki, her mixtapes were awesome but i understand why people like her pop stuff, in my opinion some of her pop music is great for example her first verse on Pound The Alarm is bloody awesome she makes feel good music and i would say the quality is better than Taio Cruz, she is creating a huge buzz in the UK right now and who knows she might release hip-hop in the future but why should she do it now when she is having so much success, Starships has sold over 600k in the UK so i dont think her label is complaining

    Super Bass, Fly, Girls Fall Like Dominoes and Moment 4 Life were all big hits here.

     

    If Nicki is going to continue for the rest of her career only releasing pop songs, then she needs to leave Young Money imo, and just admit that she's not a hip hop artist anymore.

     

    If being popular, well-liked and successful makes you "not hip hop", I'd rather her not be "hip hop" - Nicki Minaj

    She is having a huge bust up in the US at the moment with the New York radio station Hot 97, she was meant to be headlining thier festival but before she came out the host of the radio station claimed that Starships is garbage and pop :lol:, i love Nicki so most songs she releases i will support but she should release more hip-hop again :(

    It's sad that Nicki and her label wont release anything from the hip-hop side of her album in the UK i would like to see Champion released in the UK but that will never happen, still i dont blame Nicki unless you're Eminem the chances that you will chart in good position with a rap song is unlikely
