And just as you thought things couldn't get any worse for England fans: James Corden's World Cup Live. Dear lord :mellow:

First half was decent without being great, their equaliser came from nothing and was a tad harsh on the balance of play. Second half was drab and I wasn't too surprised to see the game fizzle out at 1-1. If anything, today just highlighted the problems we already knew we had. As Rich said, we should qualify but won't get any further than the Quarter Finals. Same old England.

Where in my post did I say he was blameless? He's made some woeful decisions in his time at Liverpool, there's no denying that. But it doesn't make the bloke a bad manager. Hence why he's wanted by the likes of Inter Milan.

The whole thing's a mess. If anything they're doing Rafa a favour as i've no doubt he'll go on to better things elsewhere, but at the same time the bloke's won more than half of his games in charge and picked up a few trophies along the way, even if last season was a complete write-off and a huge leap backwards from 08-09. Got a feeling Dalglish will be put in charge, even if it's only on a temporary basis until the owners can find themselves a yes man-ager.

Flashover could easily have been stuck somewhere on the first album and it wouldn't have sounded out of place at all. Not that it's a bad song as such but it's a little disappointing that they've shown very little progression or change of direction. That said, it's only one song and it'd be harsh to write off the album based on that. I'm one of the few people that actually enjoyed MOTNF, so at the very least i'll be giving Surfing The Void a listen.

Best television i've quite possibly ever witnessed. It was all so beautifully written and directed, and I thought everything came together quite nicely. I pretty much just sat in a stunned silence at the end of it, couldn't really think of anything to say :lol: But yes, i'm gutted it's all over but all good things come to an end. Like Roo, i'd have liked to have seen more of Ben and Hurley as the island's protectors but nevermind. They only had the 2 hours to work with, they couldn't include everything. Brilliant finale to a thoroughly enjoyable series.

We've so far signed Christian Riveros from Cruz Azul, who should give us some much-needed creatvity in midfield. We're also reportedly still after Figueroa, who would solve the problem at left back. Must-buys this summer: 2 decent full backs, 2 natural wingers and a backup striker. We could use a decent centre back for cover as well. Apparently Fulop's off so we'll possibly need another keeper too.

Hart Ivanovich Dunne Vermaelen Evra Valencia Fabregas Fletcher Milner Rooney Drogba Thoughts? Personally I think it's a shambles. No Clarke Carlisle or Jozy Altidore? lulz. But in seriousness, there are a few odd inclusions/exclusions in there. Surely there have been better centre backs than Dunne (Dawson for example)? Milner's had a cracking season, but why's he on the left wing? Fabregas (Who's spent most of the season injured) as opposed to Lampard who's scored 20 from midfield this season? Very odd. Rooney also won the Player of the Year (Hard to argue against that tbh), while Milner won Young Player of the Year.

Meh @ the title race being between two awful, awful teams and also the race for the Champions League being between teams that even as a neutral I can't really say I want to finish 4th. With how tight the bottom of the table was a few weeks ago I think it's a shame the relegation battle's fizzled out, it had the potential to be quite interesting. Agreed there, fair play to the Burnley board for preparing for it and securing everything financially.

And then also win their remaining two games, hope West Ham lose theirs and somehow make up a difference of 20 goals. It ain't happening. It's like Hull still being mathematically safe but for all intents and purposes, they're relegated. If results go Sunderland's way over the next couple of weeks we're in with a shout of finishing 10th, but i'd still settle for my original pre-season prediction of 12th.

There's murmurs of them going into administration aren't there? They'll have to have quite a clear out this summer, too many high earners etc.
