I approve of this thread. I have nothing to add sadly, but a few of the songs/bands that have been posted are very good indeed. That "USA Boys" is a cracking song.

Spurs were triffic. I don't particularly want Man United or Chelsea to win the title but meh, at least it's not just one of them running away with it. Looks to be a fairly engaging end to the season with everything still to play for. The title, the CL places, the Europa League places and relegation are still wide open and most if not all could come down to the last day.

With their current squad, if nobody was added/sold? No chance. Not enough goals, not enough in midfield, gaps in defence. Like I said, depends how much money they get to spend in the summer (If any). They'd be lucky to finish 17th. They need to add quality to their squad or they've not got a hope in hell. Agreed about West Brom and whoever else goes up, mind.

Right, i'll try to be as unbiased as possible with this... :lol: I think they've got a lot of work on to stay up. They have a good Championship squad, but they'll need to add to it in order to stay up (Especially up front, Ameobi, Best and Carroll won't get them the goals they need). But of course this all comes down to whether or not Ashley puts his hands in his pockets and gives them the money to strengthen. Another factor is who will be their manager next season. Do they replace Hughton who's done a good job under difficult circumstances but wouldn't attract the type of player they need, or do they gamble on a bigger name who may be able to bring in players of a higher calibre? I think the thing with Newcastle's season this season is that it's been very much like the one we had in the Championship under Keane. We ground out results and picked up points without ever playing particularly well. A few Newcastle fans i've seen have berated Hughton for his very cautious, defensive approach, and while it's got them back to the Premier League it's unlikely their defence will be able to cope with such pressure in the Prem and they'll end up leaking goals left, right and centre. It's a big summer for Newcastle, and while it's obviously far too early to predict how they'll perform, wholesale changes will have to be made if they're wanting to stay up imo. Putting my Sunderland fan hat back on: I don't care if they go down or not, so long as we hammer the bastards at home and at SJP :funky:

We're 11 points clear of the drop zone now, I think I can safely say we've ensured another season in the Prem. It's all about finishing as high up the table as we can now. Next 3 are Wet Spam (A), Burnley (H) and Hull (A), hoping for at least 4 points - no way we're going to win all 3 but so long as we beat Burnley at home i'll be reasonably happy.

I think the question that Liverpool fans have to ask is would Man United have dropped as many points as Liverpool without Rooney, would Chelsea have dropped as many points as Liverpool without Drogba (Bearing in mind they knocked 7 past a very good Aston Villa team this weekend without Drogba on the pitch). The answer for me is no because they have quality players who they can call upon to grab them a vital equaliser or winner, whereas Liverpool don't really have that. You look at players the likes of Kuyt, Babel, N'gog. Decent enough players, and I dare say they'd be star men in a team like us who aren't really aiming for anything more than mid-table consolidation. But for a Liverpool team who are serious about challenging for major honours they're not enough, and that's what would concern me if I was a Liverpool fan. First goal, cracking finish but should never have been allowed the time and space to pick his spot and score. Should have been closed down, blocked, f***ing anything but allowed to walk into the area and score like that. Second goal was no different. Steed, Turner, Cana, all standing watching Johnson walk into the area and shoot - why? Element of fortune about the deflection but I dare say it would have been going in anyway. Third goal was just painful to watch, and again it's a lack of urgency in our defence. If someone like Gerrard or Torres or even Daniel f***ing Agger starts coming towards you, get to him, don't just back off and back off and give them the time and space to shoot ffs. Poor defending for an Under 7s Sunday League player, unacceptable for a Premier League player. As for Bruce, he has to take a major part of the blame for today's defeat. He didn't see Liverpool coming out and attacking us at Anfield? He wasn't prepared for it, knowing fine well how desperately Liverpool need the points? Why did he switch Ferdinand back to centre back when he's been playing fine at left back? Why was Richardson of all people playing at LB? Why did Cattermole even play when he's been woeful recently? Why didn't he start Jones despite the fact he's fit? People can turn round and say "It's Liverpool at Anfield, they played well" but I don't buy it. I couldn't give a monkeys who we're playing and where we're playing them, performances like the one today are unacceptable. If we'd gone there, given it a real go and at least performed half-decently and looked like we gave a $h!t but lost 3-0 then I can't fault that. But to roll over and die from the first whistle like we did is absolutely disgusting.

Does the lack of any quality in depth not frighten you? And i'm also quite surprised at you saying that, considering you've spent the best part of the season trying to convince everyone that Liverpool aren't a two-man team. We were shocking today. Liverpool played well, but we made it so very, very easy for them. Tough home fixture next against Spurs and then we've got 3 games against West Ham, Burnley and Hull before Man U visit the SoL. We're all but safe so it's now about picking up as many points as possible and finishing as high up the table as possible.
