  1. After a few listens I can confirm that I like it.
  2. His own stupid fucking fault. He was given the opportunity to move up here and play for us. He'd have been liked by the fans, he'd have been playing week in/week out, but Crouch is that far wedged under his missus' thumb that in the end he refused to move. I'd still have him here without a shadow of a doubt but whether or not he'd be starting every game is debatable with the form Jones and Bent have been in this season.
  3. We had the same problem at Stoke last season. They're very physical, there's a lot of height in the side and yet both times we went there we tried to play them at their own game and failed miserably. At Burnley we were the better team for a good hour, then we allowed Nugent to score 2 goals by switching off defensively and it was effectively game over. The one thing I will complain about besides allowing David Nugent to score 2 goals past us is that our midfield weren't at the races and gave very little service to Bent/Jones. Birmingham was just horrific, didn't show up until the final 10 minutes. Birmingham were poor but we were just awful. It's one thing getting beaten by teams but there's really no excuse for battling away at Old Trafford, and at home against 2 of the league's top sides (And keeping clean sheets, I may add) then just failing to perform on the road. I think the thing most fans are disappointed with is the fact that against Stoke and Birmingham the team just didn't show up until the latter stages. Burnley was an even game, and fair play to them for sticking their chances away but it's not like we made it hard for them. I would actually class Wigan as a harder away game than Burnley or Birmingham and what I want when I go there is the lads to at least try and get a result. The problem with Sunderland is we get results like v Man Utd, Liverpool and Arsenal and we go into games with Stoke, Burnley and Birmingham over-confident and we end up switching off and allowing them to score. If we go there, give it a go but Wigan show up and want it more and we're well beaten in the end then fair play but if we go there thinking it'll be a breeze and that it's a guaranteed 3 points then we're in trouble. We haven't got the best record at the JJB/DW/ABC/Whatever stadium anyway, so we need everybody to stand up and be counted for. Oh, and the point I was trying to make for the Blackburn match was the fact we came from a goal down to win, despite playing poorly yet we seem unable to do that away from home. There's really no excuse for it.
  4. I can guarantee it. Examples: Sunderland 2 - 1 Blackburn was followed by Stoke 1 - 0 Sunderland Sunderland 4 - 1 Hull was followed by Burnley 3 - 1 Sunderland Sunderland 1 - 0 Liverpool was followed by Birmingham 2 - 1 Sunderland I'm going down to the Wigan game. If we lose i'm going to demand a refund.
  5. Prefer it to 'Sweet Disposition', good to see it's being released as a single. Smart choice imo.
  6. Excellent, we play Wigan next week. They got destroyed by Spurs, we put in a very good performance and beat Arsenal, there can only be one winner. Wigan, of course.
  7. Yep. Fully deserved win it was as well. We closed them down quickly, we stopped them playing their passing game, and for all their fancy football and domination in possession they did very little with it, and Fulop hardly had many saves to make. They're hard to break down though, and for us it was one chance and one goal. Bent scoring again is always good, Mensah and Da Silva were class at the back and Cana showed just how much we missed him against Spurs. He has to be our signing of the season, and what an absolute bargain he was. Hopefully we can now go to Wigan and get another 3 points, as there's been a few times this season where we've got a good result then followed it up with a non-performance away (Burnley, Birmingham and Spurs spring to mind).
  8. Good news, we're apparently bidding for him in Jan and he's a Sunderland supporter.

  16. Love it. Downloaded it a while ago, must be one of my most played recent tracks.
  17. It's a shame about the N'Gog dive, it really is. The lad played so well, scored a cracking goal and then spoilt it by doing that. It also means that instead of the talk being about 2 outstanding strikes, it's now going to be focused on N'Gogs diving and the penalty. Reminds me of the Liverpool match against us, all the fuss was about the beachball goal instead of being how poor Liverpool were on the day and how we should have won the match by more than the solitary goal. Still, on the balance of play Liverpool deserved more than a point. It's just a shame and very harsh on Birmingham (Who defended solidly, especially their centre backs) that the point came in such circumstances. Either way, it's points dropped at home to a team they shouldn't be dropping points to and it's not going to help ease any of the pressure on Rafa. The title has never looked like being further away from Anfield.
  18. Another fucking pathetic away performance against a team who we should be beating. We're really showing mid-table form, absolutely no consistency whatsoever. I don't mind us being inconsistent, but it's the manner in which we're losing and the teams we're losing to. Why are we performing against the big teams and then not showing up against the Burnleys and the Birminghams? Don't know if I can be bothered to go to any more aways this season because quite clearly we can only be arsed to perform at the SoL. The goals we conceded yesterday were disgusting. The lads should be thoroughly embarassed, those sorts of goals wouldn't be acceptable at Primary School level. Not good enough. We showed yesterday why we need full backs and how much we're going to miss Cattermole in midfield. Henderson and Zenden are not defensive mids, but unfortunately they're all we have. The decision to let Tainio go out on loan looks like it's going to bite us on the arse, was it not obvious to Bruce that Cana/Cattermole would eventually get suspensions and injuries? There'd better be a response against West Ham next weekend, and a performance against Villa in the cup on Tuesday night wouldn't go amiss either.
  19. Where did I say they should have sacked him two weeks ago? I still think they sacked him too late on, was surprised to see him last until the start of this campaign. Gibson clearly has someone else lined up, will be interesting to see who comes in.
  20. Not surprised by the sacking, very surprised by the timing. I thought if they were going to sack him at all it would have been at the end of last season or perhaps if they were struggling this campaign. I reckon Gibson has someone else who he's ready to bring in.
  21. 6dbs9nzErz4 ^ And that's going to be on it. The album is as-of-yet un named. I love how they've managed to churn out 3 LPs in less time than it takes most bands to write a single album  But yes, on the basis of 'Listed Buildings' (and also 'TSIAGPTTOTF'), i'm eagerly anticipating this next release. But then i'm easily pleased. Thoughts?
