f***loads of rumours going round atm, could be a busy day for us tomorrow. Obviously Anton's gone to QPR which lowers the wage bill (He was signed by Keane, so he'll have been on astronomical wages), but if rumours are to be believed they're getting him cheap. Gyan's apparently off to Turkey for a reported £9m loss, which would explain why he's looked out of sorts this summer. Crouch, Helmes and Papiss Cisse all being linked, and really if we've freed some wages up i'd like to see us sign at least one of them even if Gyan stays.

Another awful game, we could still be playing next week and we wouldn't have scored. Not sure what's wrong with Gyan but he's all over the place atm, had a gilt-edged chance to roll Wickham in to score, he was completely free in the area but Gyan took it on himself and shot it straight at the keeper. Poor play, i'd drop him for Chelsea and start Wickham (If, of course we haven't brought in another striker), who at least looks enthusiastic and interested.

I'll be honest, I fully expected us to go out tonight, Brighton are strong at home, they've got a bit of momentum behind them at the minute, everything's brilliant, yay etc; what I didn't expect was how we went out. Currently we've got a team of young, talented players who don't know what they're supposed to be doing and a defensive, cautious manager who hasn't got the balls to take risks when needed and has absolutely no plan B (It could be argued he barely has a plan A but we'll leave it there). A summer of optimism completely wiped out in the space of three days, cheers Steve.

They've been up for it and we haven't. Simple as that. So, so frustrating. Bruce is from here, you'd think he'd be more than capable of hammering home the importance of derbies to the players and yet he's had three cracks at it now and every time we've been awful. He's either over-awing them to the point of being scared or he's just not motivating them enough. I just can't fathom out how a team can go from disassembling Chelsea at Stamford Bridge to being so utterly shit in a game of such magnitude. Baffling.

I think the fantasy Premier League thing is broken, it says i'm now top but that can't be right? But in seriousness it looks as though i've had a good weekend this weekend, must have got about 50 points and there's still a couple of matches left :D

Bottled it. Again. So fucking annoyed with Bruce. Why play so defensively/cautiously against a team that offered absolutely nothing in an attacking sense apart from set pieces/corners. Total shit yet again.

So, so glad we're not back in the Championship. Seriously hate that league, awful. The big one tomorrow, feeling optimistic although the usual bout of pre-derby jitters have been creeping in since mid-July. Been planning my weekend since a month ago, all it needs is the right result and I probably won't be seen again until Monday morning. Next Monday, that is. I want to see how Aguero performs away from home. He was immense tonight but let's be honest it was against a poor team and it was at home. Will be interesting to see how he does against the likes of Man Utd at Old Trafford or Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. If he can perform to a consistent level both home and away against all pedigree of team then fair play to him, City have one hell of a player on their books, but as good as his debut was i'm reserving judgement on him until i've seen him both home and away.

Fucking Ashley Young, would have had a perfect 1-1 prediction if he hadn't scored :(

Newcastle v Arsenal ended 0-0, a dull, dull, dull game brought to life by a mass handbagging session. Really wish Song had stamped harder on Barton's leg. And Steven Taylor's face.

1-1 and could have nicked all 3 points, very solid display and a good way to kick off our season. Shame that horrid little prick Suarez scored but it was good to see he missed the penalty. Also, what a goal from Larsson, magic. Wes Brown man of the match by a country mile. All in all a good day at the office, stands us in good stead for next weekend. Fucking bring it on :D

I still want Stoke to be relegated/liquidated/burned alive but fair play to them they're putting together a strong team and it looks as though they might actually give playing football a go this season. They've still got awful, thuggish dickhead fans however, which is a shame.
