I have 811 different Top 20 Songs - out of 14,154 - which have been covered and reached the Top 20 on 1,797 different occasions but I am not sure whether it's complete. I can post a list of the 811 together with the date the first cover reached the Top 20 and the total number of versions to reach the Top 20 if it would be of interest... And invite additions, comments, etc.

  19. Primary. I do not include "featured" but I do include "and", "with". A degree of subjectivity is required: even with "and" if one of the artists has never been in the Top 20 before, the credit goes to the one that has; if both are virgins, they both get credited as a duet. It's a system that isn't necessarily right or wrong, it's only to be consistent. So, no, by this reckoning, Rihanna has never had 3 songs simultaneously in the Top 20 singles chart - but plenty of time with two - as above.
  20. Built a room on the end of the house: 16ft x 6ft x 9ft high with bespoke shelves constructed exactly to contain shellac (collection mainly of jazz from the 30's and 40's) LPs, 10inch, singles, cassettes and CDs. Shellac: 746 LPs: 11,430 - 9,525 reached the Top 20 (includes Cassettes and CDs) 10inch: 214 Singles: 16,273 - 14,150 reached the Top 20 (includes Cassettes and CDs) Cassettes: 1,060 CDs: 2,424 Note: there is duplication between the LPs and CDs because of collections given or otherwise acquired at auctions etc. - estimate some 400.
  21. Every Top 20 Single since 1952, every Top 20 Album since 1958, except those that have never been released physically - telling for a friend of course, who started collecting in August 1964 with The Beatles' Hard Day's Night single and Donovan's Universal Soldier album in September 1967.
