Alexandra Burke feat. Erick Morillo - Elephant
If you don't like the song why does it deserve number 1?

iTunes Chart: January 2012 (Part 2)
Her voice is so synthesised you can't even tell its Alexandra. It has potential as a tune but its a bit samey all the way through and the lyrics are inane at times

How Breathe Me didn't get a huge push years ago is baffling to me

Where Will Pixie Lott - Kiss The Stars Peak
Not as bad as Jessie J in that regard and she's an award winner! :P

Where Will Pixie Lott - Kiss The Stars Peak
That is such a bizarre video. It doesn't look as if she's even trying to mime. Also, the voice so is synthesised it doesn't fit coming out of her mouth. Its like she miming to the radio

I've not seen it on TV and it doesn't look to be on the Starz selection playlist. Hard to tell with the other relevant channels as they don't seem to do phone selection anymore

yasmin ft Shy FX & Ms dynamite -'light up the world'
Its nice enough but doesn't look to be a huge hit.

Bright Lights actually had Lights on it, automatically making it better

Gotye feat. Kimbra
That is so sad. Oh well, at least Sia is still kicking rear end there and the Triple J radio is promoting great talent.

Alexandra Burke feat. Erick Morillo - Elephant
To be fair, Alex isn't a Brits artist. This is the place where Mumford and Sons and Laura Marling can win awards.Outside best pop that is.

Gotye feat. Kimbra
Ditto. It sounds like Peter Gabriel. I like it but I can see why it was big in Australasia, it seems to me that more legit sounds do better there than here.

She isn't even number one on itunes, I very much doubt she will be number one in the mids tomorrow

iTunes Album Chart: 2012
Did you hear Helena Beat? Its my favourite off the album. Call it What you Want got a little annoying for me in time The Foos shouldn't be a 'Greatest Hits' band, all their albums are great. Also, the Skin and Bones live album is mesmerisingly good and surprisingly the Foos play ALL their best songs not a few classics and some new album tracks.

The Top 200 Singles of 2011 (points system)
I take objection to your statement that Katy B's only good song is Broken Record. It is her only good lead artist single, Magnetic Man ft Katy B- Perfect Stranger is also very good.

"You Da One" // 2nd single
It sounds better by itself though. Its still a mess on the album followed by We Found Love and Where have you Been

DJ Fresh's follow up is great. Sound of the spring I think.

2011 Y/E Top 100 Singles/Albums (with estimated sales)
My Band was a fun parody song and they never last. It wasn't good in the normal criteria of music but it was fun. Most of the 2004 top ten is 'fun' in some way but not good.

I think that if Flo is not number one next week it will be because of him falling rather than anything gaining. Jessie J seems to have found her level at number 2. I don't see any obvious number one on the horizon. Maybe Florence in 2 weeks if her Jonathan Ross performance goes very, very well. If Lana can get to 16 on that mediocre set Flo could nab a low sales week.

100 greatest Guitar players
I don't think of him as a guitarist either, he was a better songwriter. Whereas Dave Grohl is spectacularly good at everything. The mainstream underrates him but I think he likes it that way,

2011 Y/E Top 100 Singles/Albums (with estimated sales)
I just had to find more extreme Rock/Dance at the time as the pop was stale and immature (and I was 16!). Talking about Albums I would say these were the soundtrack of my 2004: Snow Patrol- Final Straw Incubus- A Crow Left of the Murder Maroon 5- Songs about Jane The Killers- Hot Fuss Auf Der Maur-Auf Der Maur and these songs: Lost Prophets- Last Summer OutKast- Roses Jay Z-99 Problems Razorlight- Golden Touch Keane- Bedshaped Shapeshifters- Lola's Theme JoJo- Leave (Get Out)- Guilty pleasure  Tomcraft- Loneliness Basement Jaxx- Good Luck David Guetta- A little More Love Narcotic Thrust- I like it Deepest Blue- Give it Away Kelis ft Andre 3000- Millionaire Brandy- Afrodisiac Destiny's Child- Lose My Breath Deep Dish- Flashdance Usher ft Alicia Keys- My Boo Natasha Bedingfield- Unwritten Blink 182- I Miss You Usher- Yeah Interpol- Love Steals Us From Loneliness 36 Crazyfists- Bloodwork The Strokes- Reptilia

Her voice sounds really weak, a bit all over the place and her songs are just dull. Step down on the Video Games hate, its sublime. Its so pretty but I thought her performance of it last night was a disaster :(

2011 Y/E Top 100 Singles/Albums (with estimated sales)
I think you are underestimating what is remembered and continues to be played. Dario G Sunchyme is a club classic, Will Smith Men in Black is on magic TV all the time. I'd even make a case for Spice up your Life and Freed from Desire (My lover's got no money, he's got his strong beliefs! ...love it). I personally will remember Where Do You Go as my Dance Tip cassette wore out a bit during that song and started playing the other side as interference. Eamon DJ Casper Eric Prydz Michelle McManus Peter Andre Frankee Mario Winans 3 of a Kind D12 Busted Good? That has to be the poorest list I have ever seen. Between 2004-2006 is a wasteland for pop music with great music not getting out regularly again until 2008. Its like comparing Tracey Emin to Picasso, none of them are Da Vinci but there is a gulf. There was a reason I switched to MTV2 that year, the music and Brandon Boyd was so pretty
