If you don't like the song why does it deserve number 1?

Her voice is so synthesised you can't even tell its Alexandra. It has potential as a tune but its a bit samey all the way through and the lyrics are inane at times

How Breathe Me didn't get a huge push years ago is baffling to me :cry:

That is such a bizarre video. It doesn't look as if she's even trying to mime. Also, the voice so is synthesised it doesn't fit coming out of her mouth. Its like she miming to the radio

I've not seen it on TV and it doesn't look to be on the Starz selection playlist. Hard to tell with the other relevant channels as they don't seem to do phone selection anymore

Ditto. It sounds like Peter Gabriel. I like it but I can see why it was big in Australasia, it seems to me that more legit sounds do better there than here.

Did you hear Helena Beat? Its my favourite off the album. Call it What you Want got a little annoying for me in time The Foos shouldn't be a 'Greatest Hits' band, all their albums are great. Also, the Skin and Bones live album is mesmerisingly good and surprisingly the Foos play ALL their best songs not a few classics and some new album tracks.

I take objection to your statement that Katy B's only good song is Broken Record. It is her only good lead artist single, Magnetic Man ft Katy B- Perfect Stranger is also very good. :lol:

My Band was a fun parody song and they never last. It wasn't good in the normal criteria of music but it was fun. Most of the 2004 top ten is 'fun' in some way but not good.

I think that if Flo is not number one next week it will be because of him falling rather than anything gaining. Jessie J seems to have found her level at number 2. I don't see any obvious number one on the horizon. Maybe Florence in 2 weeks if her Jonathan Ross performance goes very, very well. If Lana can get to 16 on that mediocre set Flo could nab a low sales week.

I don't think of him as a guitarist either, he was a better songwriter. Whereas Dave Grohl is spectacularly good at everything. The mainstream underrates him but I think he likes it that way,

I think you are underestimating what is remembered and continues to be played. Dario G Sunchyme is a club classic, Will Smith Men in Black is on magic TV all the time. I'd even make a case for Spice up your Life and Freed from Desire (My lover's got no money, he's got his strong beliefs! ...love it).
