Paramore

I think Sombr is perhaps less Jeff Buckley and more James Morrison

No. He's writing safe. For the algorithm. First line about 4th July coming out the week before 4th July. And the meme title 'My body isn't ready' that he plays completely straight in the song.

I think the record company saw how he had so many simultaneous tracks last year and put it out too early. People weren't done with Homewrecker yet. That went ACR last week, this came out directly after.

Ah but Potential was the superior song

Would like to see this track go top 20 at least

Whats a wonderwall anyway?

Gracie Abrams is what Swifties want Taylor to be but they don't really want to listen to Gracie. Tragic state of affairs

I know Sombr plays to TikTok and virality but honestly bringing out a song which starts with a reference to the 4th July a week before the 4th July is too transparent for me to deal with. Its so contrived its boring. Homewrecker was similar where you can see the Tik Tok edits a mile away. But his success before was based on how interesting his songs were. Not because they were leaning in to what executives think will hit. I want Sombr to be successful but I do need this to flop a bit. Potential was a better song than this but I guess got overran by Homewrecker. I can't have this working and giving execs an excuse to make him more contrived.

What is on the horizon for presuming ACR doesn't knock it off number 1?

I love seeing the summer dance tunes rise. 90s House is such a big part of my childhood memories.

It peaked at 55 at the end of last month.

They should play Rein Me In for the stadium like they did Wonderwall. 20 week number 1 right there

The third single was Dance No More. But it hasn't had the hits of his previous records. And I love this album. I'm not a hater

Oh my god... TAYLOR WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?

Its no Beat It

The Cure is a stunning song. Deserved #1

When do England play? Could Three Lions get in by week's end?

Flop (I will work out my bitterness in time)

20-30 is now 10-20

You know this may not have been a stellar chart era for Harry but its hung around, the audience didn't reject it

Summer is truly here, the chart is full of dance

Noah Kahan and Stella Lefty giving Eamonn and Frankie vibes

When this song came out in 09 I was at uni. The guy I was next to in residence would come in every night (and I mean 12-2am) and play this on repeat in his room. So I'm rather nostalgic for it

We're doomed

Forty thousand? Nah, round number seems sus Forty One thousand? Perfect
