You only need a small percentage of the viewership doing that to get to the top of itunes. Remember, 14 million watch X Factor, you can get a number one single with 100,000 sales and Leona won't even get that. The hype around her performance seems widely negative if people know the song she's singing. I guess Cash is a song ruiner, none can really compare.

    That would be awkward

I love Marry the Night and it would have done so much better as second single. I think Judas/You and I sullied this era for her. Its been reduced in price to 59p from 99p

Collide peaked well too though and then dropped like a stone. Leona can't make a career of covers. And Run isn't dark, Snow Patrol do melancholy but not dark.

Seriously Great British public, Leona's mockery of Hurt? Seriously? I don't want to live on this planet anymore  She spends half the song like its on the soundtrack to the Adamms Family. I don't even know what is with the Hitchcockian piano thing So? Its one of my favourites too but I don't have nearly enough baggage to sing it with weight and neither does Leona
  6. Only indie bands name their songs after zoo animals. I'm wondering how she is possibly getting the word Elephant in the song.
  7. Wretch and Josh. Classy, Classy song

I think the winning acts would get more good will if they didn't do the whole 'Winner's Single' schtick and went away and worked on an album like the runners up do.

Not feeling it. These are basically singing lessons she's released. She doesn't seem to personally connect with the material. On Colourblind especially she is flat. None of them really compare to the originals.

Coldplay did Christmas Lights on TOTP last year. They needed to change it up
  11. I think you are overestimating their back catalogue ;)

Looking at the year to date chart it comes across as misrepresentative of the market. Americans still dominate. And for a 'best of' type of show the Christmas TOTP usually is, they haven't booked anyone to perform the biggest 5 songs of the year. (Sadly, Adele who could have made the entire line up a bit more legit is unwell)

AKA, no American acts would perform nor Barbadians who are currently living in London. I'm happy Noah and the Whale get this exposure, L.I.F.E.G.O.E.S.O.N is the biggest selling alternative song of the year according to MTV Rocks.
  14. The font is the same, its just missing the bird because they needed to fit the title underneath

    Really? Really?

Wretch 32 and Professor Green are the only 'Urban' artists I can think of that had big sellers. I really don't want a return to the mid-00s Urban domination
  17. This song is one the Sugababes best and its awful how little support it got. Especially from Radio One. The girls have no credibility left as a band because they appear like a tribute act to the original but that shouldn't get in the way of the song which was worthy of airplay. I also notice that 'New Year' isn't getting the usual Christmas airplay

Hopefully Lloyd. The catchy hook on the JLS song is driving me nuts

Its not really an album as we understand it, its a b-sides and covers compilation at best
  20. With those sales I dont think her record company would be. Like its been said she needs to have fun again, and stop making dark and grimy music videos.
  21. I think In the Mourning has a more intricate melody that The Only Exception which was a bit monotone. The lyrics are less schmaltzy as well which is always a winner.
  22. I'm just about to download it. Hoping for more of a 'Misguided Ghosts' than 'The Only Exception' Alrighty then. My first thought is that the melody itself is too soft for the heavy instruments which are giving it the country feel. I hope we get an official acoustic version. I love it though. Of all three back to back, I like Renegade the most. I'm ready for a new album.

Can we read anything into the X Factor Finalists AND JLS/1D not even cracking 100,000?
  24. I have their other CDs but I was wondering if I wanted a 'mature' pop punk album
  25. It was between Give me Everything and Louder. Its not the songs' fault they are overplayed. The rest is shockingly bad. I went with Give me Everything
