To some degree that is the record companies. They have apparently never recoded smells like teen spirit so it’s filtered into the rock and metal chart. It’s never charted there

I did some research into the rock genre chart the other day. Turns out the genre charts but the rock chart in particular are weirdly manipulated via 1991 and 2007 archiving rules. The only reason the dance chart seems immune is that there are big new hits. Whereas the rock chart is totally naffed up.

I like it. It sounds very 2012 Indie Folk which fits with the songs on the soundtrack to the first film
