Is it in any way possible that a service has mis-sent data for Homewrecker as the more recent single accounting for its rise and Homewrecker's huge drop?

If it was a mistake they would have caught it after the Wedensday update, it didn't go unnoticed.

Its so weird because they released this with its 'it was the 4th july' lyric just before the 4th July to get people to put it on their 4th July videos very obviously.

The songs on that album were just better. Even the tracks before that were. I suspect his label have encouraged him to write for TikTok and it hasn't worked outside of Homewrecker.

The strategy of 4 pre-album singles is interesting. I have wondered if they will go that way so you can get a longer campaign. Away from the pre-album single and then album dump like Harry Styles or Taylor Swift. Olivia Rodrigo managed 3 good hits from this era with an album announcement single, a pre-album teaser single and an album drop single.

I think it would result in big artists making their tracks paid exclusives for maybe the whole pre-ACR period and then the week it is due to be tracked for ACR, opening it up to free users to get a boost.

I'd agree with all them except Noah Kahan. I think he 's more Folk-y. I don't think it would be that hard. All this is pretty much automated by the streaming service anyway. Unique tracks per user per week seems like an easy sort criteria. Which means artists won't make music available for free users on those platforms and that will decimate the ad revenue the platforms get

The problem is that the genre charts (especially the rock chart) don’t move a lot. More people stream rock from the last 40 years than any modern rock music. The chart died with emo.

Ariana, Taylor, Harry have been on the pop treadmill for a long time. They are in their 30s. They are in a position of financial security.
