  1. Sombr's next phase is going to be interesting. I wonder how much support he really has outside being the TikTok edit guy
  2. Feels like the same target demo. He covered Paramore? This feels like a personal attack
  3. What would be the 'classic chart' cut off? 5 years? The worry would be that it would just be the same songs all the time though right? Like the Rock and Metal Chart is mostly the same 20+ years old songs at this point

Everyone is listening to the mash up with Everybody by the Backstreet Boys. Its all over TikTok. Completely unofficial

Jamie Webster - This Place WOW. A love song to Liverpool. I think it might be the City's anthem

I'd go as far as to say she used music to get rich (good for her), never had a great love of it, and is now using her time and earnings to do what she really loves
  7. Lovely. It is the superior song. I have a feeling Sombr is going to be THE 2025 music act. We will never hear of him again. * (*This coming from the person who thought Ed Sheeran would have a James Morrison or Paolo Nutini style career after his first single)

2x platinum album but relatively few certificated songs. Maybe we'll see Playing God get something in the next few months I bought it first week! The Only Exception is my nemesis.
  9. Back to Friends went platinum today so its over 600k but sales estimate suggests it sold approx 13k this week. That would been its been a bit undercounted here by at least 7k. There was 3k between Undressed and Back to Friends approx this week. The gap would need to widen a bit for Back to Friends to overtake by year's end.
  10. I think it was a mistake for Sabrina to try and replicate the Short n Sweet era with the Soap and Glory style sexy retro thing she has going on. She should have waited and come back with something new. But I get it. She had 5 albums before she broke though and she was afraid to flop. As it is, she's not flopped but its just diminishing returns.

Taylor will save us Has anyone ever looked into the disproportionate performance of album track 1s in the streaming age?

Deftones - Change (In The House Of Flies) (I love this year's Deftones resurgence. Shame about Glasto) Layo & Bushwacka - Love Story (Vs Finally) (Scary that this isn't Platinum yet) Panic! At The Disco - But It's Better If You Do (Finally joins 'Lying is the most fun a girl can have without taking her clothes off' for a certification. Like to see more of that first album with certificates to be honest. It soundtracked my uni days)
  13. Speaking of songs that could have come out 10 years ago. No Broke Boys is a gem. I was hoping it would snag a week at 1.
  14. I don't get that from it. I think of women who I would have considered 'middle aged' in the 90s who were probably only in their 30s.
  15. This Chappell Roan is very mid 90s in a way that was too old for me in the 90s.
  16. First time listening to this K Pop Demon Hunters stuff. Sounds retro to my ears, like something that would have come out 10 years ago.
  17. Nice to Each Other is a beautiful track
  18. Funny that people aren't streaming the Chainsmokers collab....
  19. Deftones Smash Hit Album lets go Its so funny to see the kids discover Coldplay used to be good.

Expected more from Sombr's album but to be honest I couldn't get through it. Every track has a range of voice distortion. Bit odd to be honest. I suspect he's not confident with his voice.

Damn I was really hoping for No Broke Boys to advance and snag a week

Linkin Park - Somewhere I Belong Deftones - My Own Summer (Shove It) Emerging from the 00s sales quagmire! AC/DC - Shoot To Thrill Arcade Fire - Ready To Start Bon Iver - For Emma Some classics finally rating.

What did make them good in the first place? I remember liking Harder to Breathe but nothing after sounded anything like it. They were a band that surfed the trend but are now too old to be trendy. They've become a mum band and the mums just want to hear Moves Like Jagger.

They really like their Morgan Wallen. I don't get it

Love how this top 10 is so different than the Billboard Top 10. Feels like the 90s again
