  1. What a career for Pink!
  2. Throw this song on the fffyyyyaaaaaa!
  3. I prefer this to Troublemaker. Neither are great
  4. How is this piece of heaven by the Lumineers only at 12. I thought it was in the itunes top 10 all week
  5. Three years is standard but we got the singles club thing

Radio one is going through an identity crisis. Its moved its vets to Radio 2 which skews too old for listeners to go with them. Its replaced them with nauseatingly 'hip' personalities like Jameela Jamil who are just annoying. Also, they are still employing Fearne Cotton despite the widespread derision. The playlist suggests a variety and maturity I rarely hear on daytime radio one to be honest.
  7. There is too much going on in it. There is no proper ebb and flow of sound and it the character of individual tracks is compromised. When singles are taken out, its easier to appreciate them. Its like diamonds in an ugly set necklace. Hmm. I prefer Never Let me Go to Spectrum but the biggest crime here is that because of Howl's lack of single status it will very rarely be performed in future. It may end up the Flo version Sarah McLachlan's 'Fear'. Isolated on an early album yet one of her finest works.

Guitar acts in 2013? I hope this doesn't mean dance is waning. I'm a 90s girl, Rave and Grunge cohabited fine!

I don't usually like 1D but Little Things works for me. Sure, them singing it makes it sound so much more exploitative of the low self esteem in teen girls like What Makes You Beautiful but the song in isolation is a pretty little thing.

Besides Ollie this is a stunning top 5 01. Gabrielle Aplin - The Power Of Love 02. Olly Murs & Flo Rida - Troublemaker 03. Bruno Mars - Locked Out Of Heaven 04. Labrinth & Emeli Sande - Beneath Your Beautiful 05. One Direction - Little Things
  11. Either Gabrielle or Bruno would be fine by me. Ollie's song is crock.
  12. I'm in such festive cheer I even think this Labrinth song is perfect.
  13. Its so different from all the other traditional Christmas songs, its broody and atmospheric and they lyrics refer to Pentecost more than Christmas. But I just adore it. There is the tinsel, the smaltz, the cheese and its all great and then there is this little bit of epicness tucked in.
  14. Lets not get ahead of ourselves....
  15. I'm so glad Power of Love is getting some attention. Its my fave christmas tune.

Its a whole lot worse than just the tragedy. The police blamed the victims, took blood samples of children for alcohol, said that the people who were trying to help victims were peeing on the paramedics when the paramedics were stopped from getting in by said police, they authorised the opening of the main gate because the ticket stalls were broke and then said it was the fans who caused the accident because they pushed, they said that fellow fans stole from the pockets of the dead, they manipulated the media and the government into making Liverpudlians the scum of the Earth for their own reputation. Not to mention the inquest was inept, they ignored all evidence after a cut off time where they said everyone who died was dead despite medical evidence to the contrary. They'll have my money, let the Yorkshire Police be dragged through the mud with bells on.
  17. You just reminded me. I loved 'Sort Of' off the last album.
  18. Generic Rihanna. Got to number one because it was a pre-album Rihanna release and not much else.

I voted for My Generation. Then I looked at all your posts and got sad. Where IS Robert Miles?

I think this year has been really musically dry which is probably why the end of year charts are looking so old.
  21. She says that but the singles from Ceremonials work so much better in isolation because the album itself is a bit of a mess with the mix which is probably why they sought remixes. If we to rank Sweet Nothing as part of the Ceremonials era I would say its the best thing to come from it.
  22. I have a grudging respect for McFly. They have rarely been very good but they are sticking around and continuing to work after the initial fanbase era has gone.
  23. It just feels like the old guard don't have much of a hunger for the whole thing anymore. At least Timberlake is honest about it and got out to do movies. Britney hobbles around the stage like she resents it. Christina is just invisible, there has been little to no support of this album.
  24. ---such a COLD finger---- Well done Ms. Bassey. Well done.
  25. Hate to say I told ya so about Ben Howard. Glorious album. Still need to listen to the La Havas offering.
