  1. I'd say the 90s Indie peak was 1996-98. The 00s was 2004-2006. We're due. But that said, Rock isn't doing very well in its own niche: http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/chart/rocksingles
  2. Not liking Roar. Like Part of Me, its a good album track, nothing more. Also I like the vid but wish she'd either mime the darn song or act the thing. Don't flit between them
  3. I don't think her people know what to release to be honest which is where 4 fell down. Music doesn't work by saving the best until last, save the best song and everyone will have it on the album anyway.
  4. Come on Chvrches, go top 40! Great to see London Grammar doing well.
  5. LostProphets' Start Something was their only great album and they were coming out of Nu Metal but a little more punky. YM@6 are more punk in the Fueled by Ramen mould. And they have two very good albums, this last one is a bit meh
  6. And its not even the best song about Chocolate. That goes to Snow Patrol.
  7. Zane Lowe played it three times in one show when he debuted it. R1 is going to push it hard.
  8. Those Saturday night party sales working for the Duke. I love that song. I haven't heard something that 90s since 1998
  9. This is the beauty of music. At times like this it reflects the people. Not the garbled 'walking on eggshells' complimentary media and parliamentary minutes.
  10. Looks like it will definitely chart: http://www.officialcharts.com/chart-news/d...te-top-10-2153/
  11. Now I hope it gets to number one. This is an important statement.
  12. After 'The Singles Club' I wasn't expecting something so hugely different as we got from Now. Singles Club felt like the debut sometimes and that was beautiful. Will be interesting to see what happens next. Brand New Eyes had the same sort of formula, Ignorance was a harder rock than the pop punk we were used to but it had a great mix of haunting ballads and throwbacks like Careful.

I'm so glad to see Ben do well. I've campaigned for two darn years!
  14. Abominable top 10. :(

  16. Its a Holy Day of Obligation so Christians really should
  17. Not arguably at all. There are 12 days of Christmas, starting with the birth of Jesus on the 25th and ending on the 6th January when we celebrate the arrival of the three Kings. Its called Yuletide or Christmastide

They skipped three months in their rundown of the years hits, March to May.
  19. Its been OK at the top this year. I don't much like Starships and Titanium though. I have just found the breadth of greatness diminished. Not many 'Should have done miles better' songs.
  20. Voted for Flo, will probably make Ho Hey my fave of the year though
  21. Remember the physical is on top of that. They will more than make up for the climb if the pre-order numbers we have are correct.
  22. Three years is standard but we got the singles club thing
  23. There is too much going on in it. There is no proper ebb and flow of sound and it the character of individual tracks is compromised. When singles are taken out, its easier to appreciate them. Its like diamonds in an ugly set necklace. Hmm. I prefer Never Let me Go to Spectrum but the biggest crime here is that because of Howl's lack of single status it will very rarely be performed in future. It may end up the Flo version Sarah McLachlan's 'Fear'. Isolated on an early album yet one of her finest works.

Guitar acts in 2013? I hope this doesn't mean dance is waning. I'm a 90s girl, Rave and Grunge cohabited fine!
  25. Either Gabrielle or Bruno would be fine by me. Ollie's song is crock.
