  2. I nominated it and I'm surprised it did so well. I thought it was a bit forgotten
  3. Just put it back on TV before The Voice already. Don't let it be bogged down by the weekly chart. Do the chart rundown but take a lesson from Radio One and focus on live performances, exclusive cover versions and premieres of new material
  4. I gave it 18 alright. I need to get a few dance classics through by hook or by crook though. Charlie has the rock/indie covered  ;)
  5. It depends on the amount of work done. Janelle Monae on We Are Young deserves less recognition than Hayley Williams on Airplanes. The worst was Timberlake's credit on Rehab, he does nothing. As for Calvin Harris question. He wrote the song practically and he's a name people recognise, why shouldn't he get a credit?

I think we would do it better than Now!
  8. Me too  Also, I can't argue with this: Three of the greatest songs ever written. At least now we know where they are going wrong in the last 15 years list. Those are the only ones I approve off. I'd probably include more Pearl Jam (Jeremy, Even Flow) Hole (Malibu) Jeff Buckley (Grace, Last Goodbye should be bumped to top 10), Alice in Chains (Would), Placebo (Every You, Every Me), Smashing Pumpkins (Disarm, Tonight Tonight),No Doubt (Just a Girl) and Nirvana (Come as you Are) On top of that I would add more dance. The NME rarely acknowledge pure dance. The Prodigy is about as far as they go. To have a 90s list without dance music, crazy. Children is like the hymn of Acid House
  9. All Ben's songs are great, its so rare. People are rightly praising his Call me Maybe cover but has everyone heard Video Games? 6Men2J9uebI
  10. When you hear 'Keep Your Head Up' you are going to fall over. It is the most joyous piece of music I've heard in a long time.
  11. I wonder what Ben Howard is going to do next. Only Love is something like his 5th single off that album (which shows how good the album is by the way). Will he re-release Keep Your Head Up and hope for some TV and commercial radio support? He will need to capitalise off this momentum right?

  13. I don't know, the part where she starts dancing reminds me of Red Alert by Basement Jaxx. Its a bit of a grungy mess.
  14. Urgh Tulisa. Young is not a bad song, she's just a bad performer. But if Dappy can get a number one...
  15. We should see what of the recent songs are closest to the million mark. Good times! I'll be in work.
  16. I think that is a little early timeline wise considering Britney didn't debut until 1998. I would say Carly would fit in the 'nsync-Pop era of bubblegum to the debut of Avril so 2000-2003. When bubblegum pop got a little more interesting and edgy when the scene reacted to Baby One More Time. Before that it was ballads, and teen girl bait like 1D and The Wanted are now.
  17. It was on youtube two weeks ago, it premiered on TV this week and is currently getting its own premiere slots across the channels.
  18. Tony Lucca? As in the mouskateer who used to date Keri Russell, Tony Lucca?
  19. People saying that music TV is an irrelevance to me the other week. Look, Drake and Ri started playing on Monday, its across MTV, Starz, Dance Nation and Kiss and its up a whole 10 spots at least. Come on, do a Titanium!
  20. Disturbia/We Found Love/Take Care Wish I could include a few more :P All of the Lights probably would have pushed out We Found Love from the Top 3
  21. Depends on the level of the chart. Look at the Rock chart: http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/chart/rocksingles , filled with archive hits. I think you need to sell something like 5 copies to get on the rock chart. Sex on Fire Use Somebody I Got a Feeling ...The obvious ones. But really any classic song with exposure or a discount that makes people think 'I haven't heard that in ages' can make it to chart.
  22. Wow, the airplay chart is a whole other country! So varied and look at all those songs that were so well played yet you never hear anymore. Even these: Jurgen Vries- The Opera Song Lisa scott lee - Lately RhIanna - Oh Baby Jaimeson - Complete Deepest Blue - Give it away Jason Nevins - Im in heaven I never would have expected them anywhere near this list
  23. Me too. They did a set on Radio One to promote Eyes Open and I took an instant dislike to it. Eyes Open has so many great songs I don't know why this one keeps getting the nod.
  24. 'This isn't everything you are' and 'In the End' are better in my opinion
  25. You can get the entire album its from on Amazon, used for £1.50. Not that financially prudent
