Is the EP good? As good as Losing You? I listened to the preview and yes, the 80's sound was prominent/cohesive but it didn't really interest me.

I *get* the criticism and understand why some people find it offensive. It’s a theme rooted in mass genocide (no band would dare dress up as sexy Jews and dance around a concentration camp) and based mainly on stereotypes of Native Americans. The lyrics probably didn’t help either. The western/cowboys/Indians theme has become so obvious that I can understand the appeal of making the video they did – it is gorgeous after all. Yes the video was ill-advised, but I think it is admirable how quickly they pulled it. Racist and culturally insensitive is clearly the last thing they are. You can tell Gwen just gets wrapped up in the fantasy of it all. Would I have taken it down? No. A "Viewer Discretion is Advised" message at the start would have been enough for me. Is that because I have the "privilege" of being a white male? Who knows. It’s still an art form and censorship is rarely the answer - regardless of who it offends.

As a multi-racial band our foundation is built upon both diversity and consideration for other cultures. Our intention with our new video was never to offend, hurt or trivialize Native American people, their culture or their history. Although we consulted with Native American friends and Native American studies experts at the University of California, we realize now that we have offended people. This is of great concern to us and we are removing the video immediately. The music that inspired us when we started the band, and the community of friends, family, and fans that surrounds us was built upon respect, unity and inclusiveness. We sincerely apologize to the Native American community and anyone else offended by this video. Being hurtful to anyone is simply not who we are. - No Doubt Wow.
