This is so correct. Melancholia deserved a screenplay nomination, among everything else actually. Bridesmaids? Moneyball? The Descendants?

Still can't believe how f***ed up are people to ignore such a wonderful film cause of something that has nothing to do with the film itself. Film of the year. From the script to the image!
  3. Still Life at #9? I thought it would end up at least top 5! Orbital and Kavinsky criminally too low! A great countdown, although i was shocked when Lana appeared twice so high! I like her but Top 5? Twice? Not.

The absence of Melancholia (and Drive) is tragic. The Tree of Life for Best Cinematography, hands down, and hopefully Terrence Malick will win Best Director (or Michel Hazanavicius).
  5. Aside Arcade Fire overload, some great choices last year. Not In Love and Odessa were among my faves too. Not knowing anything below 40 is such a nice move. Anything can pop out, although M83 victory must be sure. Still Life to join them in the top 3 and Bjork and Active Child (Call Me Tonight) for Top 10!

  7. Mesmerizing. I've watched this yesterday with 2 friends (both of them found it painfully slow and dull) and it was stunning. I think it could have worked even better without any dialogue or just a little, just with those magnificent scenes. Picture, cinematography, music were all great. First half and the end were magical.
  8. When Saints Go Machine deserves to be nominated but i'm not sure if they apply at rule n.2

Incredible. I love how it builds up and leads to that wonderful instrumental part. Glorious track.
  10. I had no idea that she had released anything before. Was it an EP? I will replace Lana Del Rey with Benjamin Francis Leftwich - Atlas Hands. I don't know if it has been discussed though.
  11. Most of the songs that i remember from young age (5-8 years old) where used as soundtrack in a luna park or in carnival parade. Alongside, Men at Work - Down Under, the rest were: Mr. President - Coco Jambo cOrc37wNUqU Modern Talking - Brother Louie Lp2qcCrdBLA Los Lobos - La Bamba YicJPLT1dWU King africa - Bomba QlPS16NeBO0 Also, The Lambada (Kaoma) and Samba de Janeiro (Bellini).

I think Top 3 out of this list is Azealia Banks, followed by Friends (I'm His Girl got me instantly) and then i was going to say Niki & The Dove but f*** Me is superior to not be included (although Love Me is meh).
  14. That was so good and although the script was cliché it managed to captivate the atmosphere of those times. Beautifully shot, Jean Dujardin was incredible and such a nostalgic feeling. The soundtrack suited perfectly too.
  15. Seriously it must be a special edition or something. Bonus tracks needed. We've heard more than half  So pleased Diet Mountain Dew is on the album. Hopefully a future single.
  16. Still wondering if this crap is Scissor Sisters..such a disappointment. The verse, oh dear.Awful, although last minute with instrumental is quite good.

One of the most thrilling new bands i would say. I've been following then since EP1 and that fantastic In Chaos. Band members are David Maddox-Jones (former member of The Departure), Raife Hacking and Piers Sherwood-Robert and they have released 3 EPs so far. There is a track list on Facebook but i'm not sure if that is the final one. I would love them to explode in 2012 but i much doubt that. I think there isn't any album release date yet. Team Gaga, although is one of my least fave from her.
  20. I guess a lot of songs will rise once christmas period is over?? It seems like Katy put a spell on US radio. Christmas plus end of the year countdowns and she still gets so high updates.
  21. Yeah i know. I mean after Charlie Brown. Princess of China as 4th single.
  22. Huge letdown from Coldplay with this. Pretty much an average album with a few exceptions (Charlie Brown, Paradise and Hurts Like Heaven) and by far their worst album. I find it so hard to even remember most of the tracks. Probably they will release Princess of China next to sell the album to a wider audience, a good strategy nonetheless.

Not much i like in this list. I will go for Only Girl In The World
  24. "Diet Mtn Dew" is by far my favorite from her. That chorus is so seductive. I liked Video Games and Blue Jeans but this one got me interested in her.
  25. Helena Paparizou has released her first single, Mr. Perfect, from her sixth studio album. Not her best, but nonetheless still a really good attempt for a so deserved International career. Don't expect something like The Game of Love era, but hopefully it will become a hit. I'm already loving it. 3vLZtfu98Q4
