  1. Ten's not that great IMO, first album was probably better, neither are GREAT though. She should go more rock-y or Goldfrapp-y rather than the watered-down RnB/dance-lite/average pop route.
  2. Really?! I don't mind the video at all. When Nerina comes out from the alley she reminds me of Katy B mixed with Myleene Klass. Good song. IMO far better than Kylie could have done with it (Kylie would've done it OK though). Doubt it'll go top 40 though, hopefully top 75. I think Nerina will probably get like Thea Gilmore chart-wise - devoted fanbase but lucky to go top 50. Fingers crossed the album does better than 'The Graduate' and goes top 40  She deserves it, one of the best pop singer-songwriters around.

Unless Foos do well over 150k this week, Adele will definitely be back at #1 next week (the Foos will surely drop by about half next week if not more).
  10. I hope this come soon and is absolutely huge. Rock Steady was so underrated! If they'd released Rock Steady any time from 2008-now it would've been way bigger.

  14. I can only hope that everyone who says Denise Fergus was neglectful/needs to get on with her life never goes through something one hundreth as bad as this. If you are going to say Thompson and Venables were abused/neglected which led to their actions - and that could well be true - you cannot say that Denise Fergus leaving her son unattended for a couple of minutes counts as abuse and neglect! By that standard you might as well say that anyone who is ignored by their guardian for a couple of minutes could grow up to be a criminal/murderer due to all the neglect they suffered. Denise Fergus probably regrets leaving him every second of every day, and has that on her conscience for life. That's all she did wrong. It was Thompson and Venables who murdered him. As for getting on with her life - I would imagine it's a bit hard when the case is brought up every five minutes by the media (and don't say that every single time it is, it's brought up by Fergus, because it clearly isn't).
  15. 7/10 so far...think it's definitely a grower too. A little bit samey in parts but there are some fantastic tracks here.

Foos will get it for one week then as long as Adele is still flogging 50k a week she'll go back to #1 until Gaga is released.
  17. If JFTB only peaked at 20 in 2003, with that chart run, it surely only sold about 20-25k, maybe less. All I Have would easily sell double its 2003 figures now, probably over 400k.
  18. 15 KLF feat. Tammy Wynette – Justified And Ancient 12 Freddie Mercury and Montserrat Caballe – Barcelona 10 Arrested Development – People Everyday 08 Shanice – I Love Your Smile 06 Ce Ce Peniston – Finally 05 The Prodigy – Everybody in the Place 04 Michael Jackson – Heal The World 03 Undercover – Baker Street 02 Luther Vandross and Janet Jackson – The Best Things In Life Are Free 01 Nick Berry – Heartbeat -1 Kylie Minogue – Give Me Just A Little More Time
  19. Now, The Time (Dirty Bit) isn't that bad. I Gotta Feeling, on the other hand, is absolute $h!te! Over a million and still selling, and why? It's absolutely banal, pointless and crap. BEPs when they get it right (recently I'm thinking Meet Me Halfway, Boom Boom Pow, Just Can't Get Enough) are very very good. BEPs when they get it wrong, IMO, get it very wrong. To me, it's a shame that their most popular songs (IGF and probably Where Is The Love?) and their most notorious (My Humps) are their worst ones. In my opinion.

  22. Based on what SHOULD be number 1, not what I prefer (which would be Kate Nash and the Manics) 7 LOVE THE WAY YOU LIE- Eminem Ft Rihanna - obvs 6 ROCKSTAR- Nickelback - it was massive 5 FOUNDATIONS- Kate Nash - worthy of #1 but I like the fact it's one of those massive songs that didn't quite do it. 4 YOUR LOVE ALONE IS NOT ENOUGH- Manic Street Preachers - well they're destined to pick at 2 with some of their best songs. Definitely good enough for #1 though. 3 NO U HANG UP/ IF THAT'S OK WITH YOU- Shayne Ward - should've been a comeback #1 I suppose 2 BETTER IN TIME/ FOOTPRINTS IN THE SAND- Leona Lewis - again should've been #1 based on fanbase 1 AYO TECHNOLOGY- 50 Cent Featuring Justin Timberlake - hung around for ages but not really that memorable
  23. Definitely not! 'Blue Velvet' was a re-release from the early 60s I think - was in some film and more recently a toilet roll advert. 'Black Velvet' is completely different - you might have heard it, it still gets played on radio though hardly ever.
  24. 15 Alannah Myles – Black Velvet  12 DNA feat. Suzanne Vega – Tom’s Diner 10 Paula Abdul with The Wild Pair – Opposites Attract 08 Deee-Lite “Groove is in the Heart” This really deserves 15 too - tough top 5! 06 The Adventures of Stevie V – Dirty Cash 05 Luciano Pavarotti – Nessun Dorma 04 Bobby Vinton – Blue Velvet 03 The B-52s – Love Shack 02 Kylie Minouge – Better the Devil You Know 01 Madonna – Hanky Panky -2 Craig McLachlan and Check 1-2 – Mona
