I'm really drawn towards Long Long Journey at the moment. I feel certain that with a punchier mix and even more powerful vocal layering on the Long Long bits it could have made a fantastic single release.

Over the last couple of weeks I've been listening to Enya's recording output. More than ever, I've started noticing and missing the absence of Gaelic tracks since 1995. In fact, since then, I think I'm right in saying we've only had Deora ar mo chroi and Isobella and a re-recorded Oiche Chiun. It's never really occurred to me before how reduced the Gaelic has been in the second part of Enya's career (post PTSWS). I know we've had other languages and I particularly love Sumerigusa and Waters shows the hidden heart from Amarantine. But I do miss the Gaelic enormously and it's made me wonder two things: 1. Has it been a conscious decision on the part of Aigle and 2. Has the less Irish-sounding music of recent years contributed to the decline in sales in the UK? Any thoughts?

Yeah I must admit I don't think of AWC as a new age album. Mind you, the Grammys have categories for everything under the sun that I'm surprised there isn't one for a holiday/Christmas/seasonal recording.

Yeah I'd like to see the rest of the list. I'm hoping 'Babes in the wood' by Mary Black is up there. And Macalla by Clannad should be there too. Oh and 'Whisper to the wild water' by Moya.

I'm listening to The Spirit of Christmas past as I type lol. I'm going for a run at 9am with the Wigan running club. Then driving over to York to join my Mum, Dad, sisters and all their many kids for Christmas dinner.

I agree that Watermark (my favourite Enya album) should be the highest on the list. But, only 52????????? It should be top 5! I'm surprised at The Celts being there. It's great that Only Time gets so recognised but there are so many Enya songs in the last decade that I prefer lol.

Yeah I found it interesting even though I struggled to decipher some of the content.

I actually hope it's 2013. And Winter Came is my least favourite Enya album so far so I kind of hope she takes 5 years on the next one.

I think it's a great decision to award prizes to everyone. I couldn't choose between some of the entries. They were brilliant.

I think it's a valid discussion point to raise. I've never been bothered about a live concert to be honest. I think I kind of realised there would never be one after Shepherd Moons when she disappeared back into the studio to work on The Memory of Trees. There are a few reasons why I don't hunger for a tour or one-off live concert: 1. I doubt I'd get a ticket because demand would be enormous 2. I'm not sure it would live up to my expectations. I don't really want to hear a choir singing 'Enya' 3. I think Enya would be incredibly nervous as she clearly was at the Oscars 4. It would further delay the next studio album For me, Enya is a recording artist, not a performer.

The new version because it's longer and because it's now an independent Enya track. Aniron is nice but it doesn't move me in the same way that Sumerigusa does.

Excellent. I've never been to Leo's but my Mum and Dad went two years ago. They had a marvellous afternoon when Bartley sat and chatted to them for over an hour. Apparently he couldn't stop laughing when my Mum told him that the kids I teach call me 'Mr Benya'. He kept repeating it to the staff. :)

The intriguing 'Eclipse'. How on earth did anyone realise it was another song in reverse???!!!!!!!

I too have thought about how wonderful it would be if Simon Cowell got Enya on X Factor. She's globally big enough but the UK music industry just doesn't seem to accommodate people like Enya anymore. Plus she would have to sing live and she may not want to do that. But it would be great exposure for her.

I'll give my opinion when my CD arrives from hmv.com. But I'll have to listen to the LOTR version again.....it's the one Enya track that I don't feel I know well.

Does anyone know if the new version of Aniron was prepared especially for this release?

It could be the first Enya album to not make the top ten in the UK. Which is a shame really.
