  1. I don't know David. It depends which of the boxes (albums) I select. I have until midnight tonight to make my choice.
  2. Ahhh. I think I've worked out what the boxes mean and what they could contain.
  3. I contacted Lee and he was great as usual. My password wasn't working properly but he has fixed the problem. I have typed the password into the oracle and it has brought up a page with the six boxes. I have made my selection but have until midnight until Saturday to change my mind as the page will remain active until then. From Sunday the prizes will be revealed SEASON by SEASON. I have a feeling there could be clues somewhere but I can't figure out what they are! So I won't be able to tell you anything till after then.
  4. I can't work out how to enter my password and find the prize. I've drawn a complete blank! Is this a final challenge?
  5. Dev, that's a really lovely post and I really appreciate it. I will let you all know what the prize is tomorrow.
  6. Thanks Grace and David. :)
  7. A friend has contacted me today to tell me what has been written on Unity about me winning one of the prizes. I'm a bit upset by it because it sounds a bit strong. I didn't want to cause any upset for Aigle so I've emailed Lee to offer to give up my place on the winners list. I don't want to spoil the Loxian Games for Aigle or the Enya community.
  8. Thank you for your congratulations!!! I really appreciate it. I got a lovely email yesterday from Roma telling me I was a winner (it came via Lee). She asked me not to announce it until it was on the website. I was dying to come on here and tell you all but I behaved myself lol. I was stunned to be a winner because I didn't think my tie breaker was all that good. I typed it in a rush and didn't give it as much thought as I would have liked. I'm afraid I haven't kept a copy of it so I can't type it on here. I can't even remember what I wrote. I have to say that as a banned member of Unity, I think it's really good of them to allow me to win. I feel dead honoured and I'm dying to know my prize. I also really want to thank and pay tribute to debarqha because she gave me so much guidance and support during the Loxian Games. I would love her to be one of the winners too. :)
  9. Yeah I think this will be the best video since Only if.

A couple of websites have got the same timings down. I must admit, I was disappointed if it's true because I was really looking forward to the new chorale version. It might be just a short section, just one verse, to close the album.

I was at the concert in Liverpool last October where it was recorded. The orchestra was pretty but it didn't blow me away. However, there was one track where they sounded absolutely fantastic - No one talks.

On your shore, what do you think of Heart Strings? It's the first Moya album I've not bought yet. I haven't made my mind up yet whether to get it or not.
  13. Over the past 20 years I've never been able to clearly understand the relationship between Enya/Nicky/Roma and Clannad. It's all so contradictory. Here are some observations: * We know Clannad effectively sacked Nicky and Enya decided to go off with them. * We know it was acrimonious (for a while) but is it still? * Moya says that when Orinoco Flow got to number 1 they cracked open champagne and squealed down the phone with delight with her (The other side of the rainbow autobiography). * Nicky now makes a snide remark in the Sunday Telegraph interview that Peter Gabriel had to encourage them to celebrate Enya's success. * Moya has said that it was great having another girl out on the road with Clannad and how she missed Enya when she left. Enya meanwhile can barely bring herself to say the word Clannad and I've never heard her pay tribute to the group in any way. Nor have I ever heard her say the word 'Moya'. * For the past 20 years there has been absolutely no collaboration at all on CD. It was very noticeable on Moya's first two solo albums that her three sisters Dee, Olive and Bridin sang backing vocals. Enya was nowhere to be seen or heard. * Enya has never invited Moya or any of her family to sing or play on any of her solo work. * We are told in the Telegraph that there is still distance and that Nicky and Roma are now her family. Yet Enya sang at Moya's wedding and was photographed next to Moya at Bartley's wedding a couple of years ago. * Enya did sing with her four sisters in the church for the celebration weekend of Leo and Baba. Yet the next day she was not with the rest of her family for the photograph in the civic reception. * Just when you think it's all rumour and speculation and there was no acrimony, Nicky comes out and calls Clannad 'stale' and 'unprofessional' in front of Enya for an interview with the Sunday Telegraph. * Nicky tells Enya's brother Ciaran that he will never record with Enya again. Ciaran (wisely) tells him to f*** off and storms out of Enya's castle. Moya's husband, Tim, has confirmed this event did happen. It's all very sad really. I can't make any sense of it and it will always be a source of fascination for the media. And frankly, it's of their own making. Because Enya and Clannad don't do enough to dispel the stories. Enya and the Ryans have very little that's positive to say about Moya and Clannad. We don't gossip about Kylie and Danni Minogue, or Daniel and Natasha Bedingfield, or the Jacksons as much. Because by and large we are convinced that they love and support each other. What a shame a strong Christian (Catholic) such as the Brennans is so willing to create mystery and intrigue about the state of their relationships.
  14. Interesting. Thanks for sharing that Odaisul. Clannad don't come out of it very well do they. Nicky sounds very critical of them.

It's interesting the way the whole project is being handled this time. There seems to be a real effort and push to make up for some of the mistakes in 2005 with Amarantine. It's noticeable how Enya, Roma and Nicky are communicating more with the fan base via the website. There are two changes with the music: a return to the original 'choir of one' sound from Watermark. Plus a long awaited return to guest musicians featuring on the music (first time since 1991 in fact). The album cover, although not my favourite, is a return to the kind of album covers we were used to. And now the rumour of up to three single releases. There hasn't been a third single from Enya since the Shepherd Moons album. The whole thing is very interesting.
  16. This live concert discussion comes round every time a new album is released. I just don't believe it will ever happen. I've always thought a live concert might not live up to high expectations and be a disappointment. If there's only one concert I feel certain that it will be an invited audience only so I've no chance of getting a ticket!

Yeah I got the email about this. I'm really looking forward to this album.
  18. Oh I definitely agree it's a stronger lead single than Amarantine. But that's not saying much lol.
  19. I just find chorus grates on me like 'Someone said goodbye' always grated on me.
  20. Yes I feel the same David. But the first single off an Enya album is never my favourite track. I loathed Amarantine but the album contained the two masterpieces of Sumerigusa and Water shows the hidden heart so I'm staying optimistic about the new album.
  21. Yeah I was a bit critical of the whole Amarantine package (album cover, single, video, Loxian) and I spoilt the general feeling of euphoria and elation at the time of its release. I was also a bit critical of Enya, Nicky & Roma's lack of communication with the fans too. I think a lot of people now agree with the comments I made about Amarantine. Happily, Enya, Nicky and Roma seem to have massively raised their game in terms of communication. Their website is the best its ever been.

I've got it from Itunes. It's better quality and it's kind of growing on me. I do love the verses, it's the chorus I'm struggling with. I wish the Agnus Dei was more prominent throughout the whole song.
  23. I am completely in love with Sumerigusa. I think it's my all time favourite Enya track and I've been playing it frequently over the past two months. I played it all the way home from work today in the car.

Send me a message if you want it.
  25. After being initially negative about the Loxian Games, I ended up really enjoying it. I managed to complete each week - the first two weeks through having a lot of help, particularly from Debargha, and the last two weeks by doing it by myself. I've entered the competition but as I'm banned from Unity, I'd be amazed if they allowed me to win lol.
