Curious whether Lewis’s CDs will be enough for #1 next week they are on sponsored ads so there must be loads of them.

Olly does have a fanbase and has a decent shot at #1 but he could have done more to push pre-orders sooner before announcing M&G (other artists managed to sell multiple copies of their album this way) to get a bigger head start over Taylor Swift. I don’t know whose bright idea it was to schedule him on Graham Norton this Friday and not 18th, 25th or 2nd. He has some telly next week but it’s bad organisation. I would love Raye to be #1 this week, Lewis is heading for #1 next week if his CDs drop as scheduled.

None of us know the pre-orders but other artists don’t get this “He might be number 1 but he won’t stay there” shade. I’m sure his label know what they are doing.

I don’t know what this is based on exactly but Sam was on BBC Radio Essex and he said his album was close to :no1: and thanked his hometown for their support.

I can't escape from Mr Lewis Capaldi today. First it was sponsored ads on Twitter, then his million stories on Instagram and now it's YouTube ads interrupting my videos.

I love Escapism! I love how the melody switches up to match the storytelling. I laughed when someone posted a clip of her live performance on TikTok and people asked "is she out of tune?" but no, it was because they were too used to hearing the sped-up version :hithead:

I've listened to the whole album now and it's like he's trying to be the cheeky chappy but the lyrics and melodies don't have much oomph or energy so they blend into one. It's not a bad album but there isn't much that grabs me as a non-Olly fan. The only song with any personality whatsoever is "I Hate You When You're Drunk" but those "LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA" sound childish and are beyond ridiculous.

Radio 1 Tune of the Weekend and A-List ...of course it is...

This album is so bizarre and Olly posted snippet of a song with "Bruno Mars or Olly?" which tells you the exact vibe he was going for with this album.

It sounds nothing like Perfect and there would be no comparisons made to that song if Lewis hadn't said it was a collab with Ed all the time.

I'm so happy to listen to the full song later because I am sick of scrolling on TikTok and hearing "I bring her coffee in the morning" every other post. <_<

Stormzy's live shows are on 22/12/2022 rather than this week?! They sold out in seconds. The only HMV signing I have seen is for this week is today in Birmingham.

I’m certain Stormzy’s steaming numbers will be huge but 14,895 seems low?

Tom was in Belgium yesterday at Q Pop Festival but Shirley was wearing the same blue dress as her IG so maybe they filmed it earlier in the day. Cool performance!
