After finishing 20th in the Eurovision Song Contest in May, 22-year-old Armenian singer-songwriter Rosa Linn has dominated the worldwide charts with her mega TikTok hit “Snap” and signed to Columbia Records. Yesterday she was announced as support for Ed Sheeran’s Mathematics tour in North America. Now Rosa Linn has announced she’s releasing her next song “Would Do It Again” which will be released this month (date TBA). I think Sam is performing “Somebody” It’s climbed to #19 on Today’s Hits on Apple Music but the playlister kindly put it straight under “Unholy” :P

I noticed Sigala followed Ellie Goulding recently and he generally only follows artists he has or wants to work with so I did wonder if they were planning something. I hope it’s good as Ellie deserves a hit.

Totally unrelated but while watching the Live Lounge version I was recommended Sam Smith's version of Seventeen Going Under and it was so bad and devoid of any emotion that I had to find a live version of Sam Fender singing it to forget about it.

There's a metal cover on TikTok by Loveless (and David Michael Frank duetted it) and it's hot with a high note that gives it build and makes it far better that the original. It sucks Sam Smith's label will never let them release a full version but I would listen to that on repeat.

It’s fine but it’s short. They could’ve slipped in a bridge. The credits list is stacked: Ilya (Ariana), Cirkut (The Weeknd, Ava), Jimmy Napes (Sam, Disclosure), Omer Fedi (Justin Bieber, Lil Nas X) and Blake Slatkin (Lil Nas X, 25kGoldn).

Maybe it’s just me but I’ve tried to like this song aaaaand I still prefer the original cause it’s so iconic. I wonder if this version will be remembered in 3 years time or if it’s the current TikTok trend. Lewis has gone quiet so it should be #1 no problem (-:

That’s what happens with very little promotion and limited radio support. It’s doing OK on Apple Music. Like I said before Talia Mar promoted STN almost every day.

It sounds like a song she’s written to become a viral hit on TikTok and it’s working but I cannot see this getting regular radio play in the UK. The lyrics are so… ugh.
