Grrrr they are two different Artists. THE original was a song done by the same management company Dr. Luke heads. Everything that comes out of the Dr. Luke group sounds the same. Even the artists sound the same because they have a set of producers, writers, and a set sound.

There are def. Different genres of Pop. I feel like the new age kids fall into everything though. Whether it's good or bad. They keep pumping on the radio. The first day they're like, That's Garbage. The Next day it's like mhhmm not again. The day after, its "Hum hum hum hum, fireball at the party, I'm the i'm the fireball at the party." By day 30 You know all the lyrics because it had been pumped over and over again on the radio. Repeat with every artist

Maybe you have it cus you type to much. But sorry about your medical condition. Maybe weed will loosen you up. :lol: And as for the Pop music thing goes. I'll give you my two cents. Pop music has come a long way. The actual engineering behind the music has changed. IF you look up "The loud war" on google and read about the engineering, the quality of music is not the same. That's why all the MJ albums sound so soft and smooth while things this days are as loud as possible. As for the artists. 98% of them don't write their lyrics. It's done by the labels or ghost writers. As for the production of the songs, 98% of them are written by someone else. So Rihanna, Justing Bieb, Brittany, Kelly Clark, Miley, Etc. Etc. don't write their own material. Their just and image. An advertisement. Almost how coca cola is. You see the can, but you don't see what's behind it, or who is behind it. Cut the sh*t. Music has been dumbed down dramatically since the 80's and early 90's. I'm not saying all of it is horrible. BUT for the most part a lot of the music sounds repeated, if not the same. You hear a Jason Derulo song, or Flo Rida song, Rihanna, Brittany, Kesha (who I hate even worse) their music they keep pumping out constantly sounds the same. Uughh Then they go to perform live, AND IT SOUNDS HORRIBLE!

Have a feeling Bruno mars doesn't write his own stuff. What happened to JT. J bieber is great, I just think he came out with a Christmas album way too early. Artists don't do that till they're way in their career. Which takes me back to my point. Artists pump as much music out there tryin to see if on gets a hit. I'll give to to Bruno Mars though, he puts out some quality work.

Ok, I do agree that there is more variety due to the Internet. However, when you see artists that keep pumping half a** material into the charts I feel like the bar is steadily declining. I mean the artists 20 years ago were quality acts. Now it just seems like a lot of the artists just seem to be pumping out as much music as possible with hopes of landing one hit. Don't get me wrong. There are songs that are great, and artists that have a lot of talent. Just feel like they could put a little more time into their music.

What are your thoughts about the quality of Pop music being released, compared to 20 years ago.
