It's a rediculous system all together. Anyways Capital helped them a lot more than BBC have done

Living For The Weekend - Fifth Album Discussion (Part 2)
Unfortunately it's very likely lease my love won't be a single. It's wasn't cherry picked very high (#890) and it's not something very radio friendly. I can't imagine it being played :( as much as I love it. Leave a light on is more generic

Where have you got that from? It's not been posted on the forum yet which means they haven't put it up yet?

Living For The Weekend - Fifth Album Discussion (Part 2)
Wordshaker didn't make ANY affect on iTunes or amazon and OYR never did well in any physical store anywyas. HMV was the biggest CD store at the time and it only got to #13 and fell to #30 even when they had that special cover thing that was going on. but The sats have done alright sales wise with physical sales which are a big contributor to total sales

Living For The Weekend - Fifth Album Discussion (Part 2)
The thing with albums is that you never know where they'll peak as there are so many factors contributing to its final sales

Living For The Weekend - Fifth Album Discussion (Part 2)
It'll most likely debut at #6 and should have a bit of longevity though!

Living For The Weekend - Fifth Album Discussion (Part 2)
What I domt understand is why they release their singles and albums during big competition. Disco love could've peaked at #3-#2 of it was released a week before or even after. Then they release the album when 6 other albums are contending for the top 10

Living For The Weekend - Fifth Album Discussion (Part 2)
Pretty much! #21 on Amazon album charts. The highest a sats album has been since Headlines.

Living For The Weekend - Fifth Album Discussion (Part 2)
Yeah it's all about sales climates. OYR would probably have only charted a few places higher than it did if it had been in the summer but other than that, it's opening sales would've adapted to the sales climate around that time. If OYR was released this week. It would've done about 8,000 k :(

Sats iTunes Watch Part 3.
Combined, it should still be #11?
-
Living For The Weekend - Fifth Album Discussion (Part 2)
Yeah! And Itunes doesn't even make that much of an impact on album sales. Probably about 1,500 of the sales are from ithnes

Living For The Weekend - Fifth Album Discussion (Part 2)
It's because people save up for Christmas that every market (not just music) stalls during autumn. E.g in box office mojo, they said that September was very low, tickets wise. It's just the season atm

I never said it was said on iTunes.. Was on popjustice general discussion

Sats iTunes Watch Part 3.
Still #10 combined!

Living For The Weekend - Fifth Album Discussion (Part 2)
Yeah but you have to consider that album sales are extremely low atm. 8,000 copies can take someone all the way to the edge of the top 10.

Yea I Can confirm it's at the top too

Sats iTunes Watch Part 3.
Singles act a teensy weeny but differently haha. 90% relies on digital whilst 10% are on physical and others. Gentleman was #8 because of strong EP sales! :)

Sats iTunes Watch Part 3.
Just because it slips on itunes doesn't mean it will flop on the official charts. At this rate I'm thinking it will chat at #5-#6. This is because Itunes are like 1/5 if the contributing factors to its total sales. 3/5 are physicals and the other 1/5 is from different online stores. E.g I hate Jessie J and seeing her album fall from #6 on itunes on its first week to #28 the next Monday was a dream come true. Same happened on Amazon. Sunday came and was annoyed to see it still in the top ten only falling four places to #7. This is a good example to show that just cause it won't do well on itunes doesn't mean it will flop

Sats iTunes Watch Part 3.
It's still says #153 on mine?

Sats iTunes Watch Part 3.
I doubt it. Radio 1 don't usually do that. figure 8 by ellie goulding flunked yet it got a-listed by radio one (song peaked at #31). As long as they have some buzz around them they'll most likely get there

iTunes Album Chart: 2013 II
Their management was stupid!! Haha. My fave album and could've gone platinum if they had released it after AFU :(
