Your Most Played Eurovision Songs (iTunes)
Argh! Ohh Ahh Just A Little Bit! Why did I not already own this masterpiece?! I just got it for 79p on iTunes though :)

Thank you again. That figure just emphasises how badly OYR has flopped, it sucks 'cos it's such a great record. Hopefully AFU re-entering the top 100 will boost the sales of the album a little. I'm not kidding myself that it's gonna make any difference though ;)

The Wanted - 2nd Album// Singles
Don't forget 'Come here right now girl! I'll make you sweat like you worked out!'' LOL. The Weekend is one of my faves from Battleground though. I totally feel what you're saying about Battleground's highlights overshadowing their first album's, yet the first being a better record over-all. Buuut I did go to the tour, and songs like let's get ugly and personal soldier got a whole new 'highlight' status for me.

Your Most Played Eurovision Songs (iTunes)
Hi :) Here's mine Sidsel Ben Semane: Twist of love [234] (<-- my ex-favourite euro-song ever) Getter Jaani: Rockerfeller Street [133] (My new favourite euro-song ever :P) Jedward: Lipstick [42] *Hanhs head in shame* Scooch: Flying The Flag [41] I do have more songs that I've played but my iTunes most played list is all over the place at the moment. Will return when I find out more XD Ps: Don't know if this counts but I have Jill & Lauren: Get Up! from the Junior Eurovision Song Contest on [6] listens :P

Saturdays iTunes Watch
Ah OK! Thanks for the info. Fingers definitely crossed that it will reach the 200k mark then, I think it deserves it. What about with albums? Is 200k good for those too? Or can they be *successful* when selling less because of the higher price?

What are you buying in the HMV sale this week?
Hmm, that sounds kind of the way HMV used to be here! All the mainstream stuff at the front, which is quite fair considering that is what will make them money, and then an unbelievable selection of albums old and new towards the back of the store. How I miss those days! Now the last two thirds of the store are dedicated to ipods/ipads/i-this/i-thats. Are the two for £10 offers the same in every store? Or are they selected locally? I'm thinking of heading into Birmingham to find a HMV that actually has products. If I succeed then my answer to the original question is that I would try to get my hands on Diana Vickers and a physical copy of Paloma Faith's album! But that's a little optimistic.

The Wanted - 2nd Album// Singles
Ahh, you never can tell with The Wanted whether artwork is official or fanmade, but generally speaking if it looks professional/well-made it's probably the fan made version ;) All the same I am looking forward to seeing it's chart position on Sunday and how it's 'only available from the album area' scheme aids Battleground sales (which I personally think is worse than their first album!)

Is 200k a good figure for The Sats? Is it good by other people's standards?
-
The Wanted - 2nd Album// Singles
Ohh so at least it has something! I can't get onto iTunes at the mo but do you know whether they have updated the store with Warzone as it's own 'album'? (<- meaning iTunes single) or does one still have to go into the album to download it?

On Your Radar (4th Studio Album Discussion) (Part 2)
Oh dear, it really seems like the only way to partially save this era would be to release Faster. It's not happening though, at least not as the next single, I had a feeling from the start that TWYWM would be released regardless of how well/badly the album did or how much the fans liked it solely because of the Travie inclusion. Hopefully they do well enough with it to release another single - which surely must be Faster?! As for Do What You Want With Me I think it really could do wonders as a promotional track, especially if they got the video of their MEN performance on some music channels, it's saucy and got personality. Even if it is a little risqué!

What are you buying in the HMV sale this week?
My local HMV is one of these 'refurbished with technology on tables' stores. It's useless. It is a giant store but the ONLY music it has is the UKtop40 singles and it's own peculiar interpretation of the albums chart, choosing to frequently replace certain albums (Florence/bruno/steps/saturdays i've seen so far) with something from the top 3!? If we're really lucky they will put a cardboard stand with 'future hits' or 'brand new' releases... This notion of albums getting to the '2-for-£10' section and remaining available after their chart run is basically the stuff my dreams are made of ;) Ps; So far for EVERY One Direction release they replaced the whole second half of the top40 with copies of TWMYB, GBY and their album.

Steps - 'The Ultimate Collection'
If they sang Say You'll Be Mine I would probably cry with happiness. It's always been my favourite single of theirs and I was always amazed that it didn't get a spot on the setlist for their last tour! (It was always overshadowed by it's co-a-side Better The Devil You Know I guess). Maybe they don't think it is well-known enough for them to use as promo material despite them having equal vocals on it? The other reason behind it's absence would be, and I hate to say it because I adore them, the fact that in the past they have sang it live and it sounds utterly atrocious. Even Claire/Faye/H's parts. Having said that the fact that they are here at all is enough to make me happy, even if they are over-using the same two songs. WE WANT ITWYMMF! :)

That's great news! Thanks for educating me a little on how it works ;) Fingers crossed for a top 90/80/75 (<- too much?) on sunday!

Saturdays iTunes Watch
Oh great, I didn't realise there was a problem with itunes! So as it's so high on the iTunes chart, and I would guess it will enter the top 100 does that means it has a good chance of re-entering the actual UK top 100? Or is that a bit too optimistic?

The Saturdays Arena Tour
1) The show was great, no flying/pyro or anything too spectacular in terms of putting on a show but the singing/dancing was great, and for me the best thing about it was the banter that the girls gave between songs. 2) There is NO way that Birmingham LG Arena was 96% full. Absolutely no way. Maybe 80% - 85% of the seats that weren't hidden away were full, but that doesn't make 12,800 (I don't even think it has that high a capacity even when full). Therefore the figures, as I'm sure everyone already realizes, are fake. (Why an American would invent those to put on wiki I have no idea)

Who's your all time favourite X Factor judge?!
Gotts be Sharon! Even if she did go a little too far sometimes! I love that Gary has 0 votes :P He really disappointed me as a biased/moody/evil ( ;) ) judge this year.

On Your Radar (4th Studio Album Discussion) (Part 2)
Oh I definitely agree they deserve a break! Especially Frankie and Una who have obviously been going at 100mph despite illness/pregnancy! However I also want them to do something (<- read anything) to get the On Your Radar sales up to at least half of what they deserve to be. Especially considering All Fired Up was close to the top-50 and Notorious in the top-200 year end charts! one more awesome single could really help, then they can have a nice break before the fifth album :D

Diana Vickers - Music To Make Boys Cry
I've always been a 'kinda-fan' of Diana's post-x-factor music, I bought Once, and My Wicked Heart remains one of my favourite songs of the year! But hearing this new material.. what can I say? WOW! It's amazing! It's such a shame that she is releasing this independently though! From history we know that will mean less sales/chart positions BUT from these two free tracks I have to say that there is potential for her to break the charts, top twenties hopefully! That way she can get a sponsor for a tour and I will get to go see it XD

On Your Radar (4th Studio Album Discussion) (Part 2)
I think the whole 'winter chart battles & pregnancy & secret illness & arena tour & album & single' was just far too much for them to do all the necessary promotion for successes - but I totally agree that this is salvageable. Release The Way You Watch Me (with low expectations) and get it out of the way for one more single from this era. At least make it worth it before releasing the inevitable summer single that will lead to a new tour/album *hopefully not at xmas and not at the same time as each other!*

Saturdays iTunes Watch
I just looked at the iTunes most downloaded songs, and it seems that AFU has fropped from 'almsot top 100' to 146, and that's the only instance on the top 200. What made it jump so high the last couple of days and then fall so far today? Am I even looking at the right thing?!

Joe McElderry - Classic + Classic Christmas
I am so happy Joe has managed to find himself a little niche that he fits into perfectly instead of vanishing like many other x factor folk. When he released his second single I thought 'Oh dear, cheesy pop, not working for him = disaster'' but now he's surprised me and shot to the top with his classical releases! Go Joe!

Steps - 'The Ultimate Collection'
The medley on Alan Carr was a not-so-well-put-together version of the one for sorrow/deeper/tragedy medley they did on CIN. I know they have practically no time for rehearsals or preparing new songs and that's why they keep re-performing DSOB and Tragedy. I just wanna say how happy I am that their album, which is basically the same as their already million+ selling Gold collection has done so well (sales wise and chart wise). I am going to the tour XD I really hope they tone down this ''we must sing live all the time to be credible' thing on some of the songs to allow for old-school (awesome) steps dance routines! Seano.

Westlife - Lighthouse + The Greatest Hits
Despite not being a particularly big fan of Westlife I do find myself feeling a little sad that they are splitting, and never getting back together so they say. It's definitely the end of an era in British/Irish pop. I'm not gonna get involved with this Will Young vs Westlife nonsense, I don't see what Will Young's got to do with them anyway?!?!? :S What I will say is that this Greatest Hits album seems to me like the sort of album that will stand the tests of time. I'm sure that post-split people who discover them or remember them (<- inevitable) will go straight for the two GH albums. Therefore I think it's a bit extreme to call this a flop! Ps; I include myself in that, I'm a non-fan who will definitely get this album at some point, probably after the split when I have a 'my childhood's too long ago' break-down ;)

On Your Radar (4th Studio Album Discussion) (Part 2)
As a fan of the sats who has the album I have to say that The way you watch me was by far my least favourite track, buuut it has grown on me A LOT, but they don't need a single that 'grows on' people, they need a single that is instantly catchy and people remember (á la Faster or Get Ready Get Set or even White Lies) especially considering this track needs to appeal to more casual listeners rather than fans who already have it on the album. I desperately want them to do well and salvage this era, but it doesn't seem likely to me ;( (on a brighter note I have a great tendency to be completely wrong with my instincts about impending success/failure) Seano.

The Wanted - 2nd Album// Singles
Thank you for the welcome :D It's all coming together in my mind now, the song is basically free for them because it's already paid for itself on the successful album, now they have just released it with a practically free campaign and will probably get a top 20 (selling it at 59p) whereas a normal single release with all the trimmings would cost them a lot more, and I have to wonder how much better of they would be by getting a top 10 at 99p - when weighed against all the extra costs. Makes sense right?
