  1. Completely lost ITVX so will be following the award through this thread for the rest of the night. So far I'm happy that local legends Sam and Jade have won!
  2. It's definitely down to people sticking with songs they like for a long time. Radio has no bearing on the charts at all and streaming playlists' impact has lessened in the past few years. TikTok is the biggest factor out of those 3 but as shown by some songs sticking around on the charts longer than others even after peak virality it probably isn't the greatest influence on long chart runs.
  3. There's a second version of Burning Down featuring Joe Jonas which must be responsible for a decent amount of its sales. When it's off to ACR/off the streaming charts it's gonna be pretty hard to track.
  4. Texas Hold Em, Training Season, Beautiful Things, Praise Jah In The Moonlight and Yes And were all in the top 10 this time last year, all of those were 2024 releases (except Praise Jah which was released in the last week of 2023). I get people's point but if old songs are actually reaching new peaks it's fine with me. It's not like Lose Control and Espresso are still in the top 10 with no 2025 releases, we have 4 2025 releases in the top 10 right now (despite Beautiful Things still being there)
  5. Anxiety up to 27. Should give Doechii her 3rd top 40 hit!

Physicals are of course 100% real but streaming should absolutely not be downplayed as fake. I'm sure most of a song/studio album's streaming sales come from people actually seeking out what they listen to, especially with the power of TikTok today. Why the Charts Company can't do what Billboard do and only count "on demand" streams is beyond me. I could go on and say how the physical market was also corrupt way back in the day but I don't fancy getting into an argument over it
  7. Anyone remember how Pretty Slowly did when it was released? It just missed the top 40 as I recall
  8. Ordinary and Arm's Length set to enter this week. The Mufasa one is definitely falling out, not sure what else will go with it
  9. Pitbull's UK tour has started

Great to have confirmation that Sam passed 100k. Love to see it, wonder if he has outdone Harry's House?
  11. Chart gods have mercy on us all, we don't deserve another long-running hit from Drake 😭
  12. Ah shame to lose Black Betty and The Race. In terms of Yello "Oh Yeah" should've been a bigger hit but that one is still great too.
  13. I'm sure "All I Want For Christmas Is You" will be the most successful, it has 101 weeks in the top 40. As It Was might be the biggest non-Christmas song
  14. Isn't she still in that lawsuit? Wonder if that'll have any effect on her new material
  15. Messy back at 1 on Spotify. Headlock up to new peak of 21, Sam and Tate still pretty stable with most of the latter's tracks climbing again. Fontaines at 119
  16. Now I feel bad about being a hardcore traditionalist... :D
  17. Spotify update- Kendrick now only 1k ahead of Messy at 1. Chin Up is Sam's 3rd highest ahead of Little Bit Closer. Fontaines down to 86 :(
  18. Love this grid l! just call me neutral good ig
  19. He wants Pink Pony Club to be a big hit despite being 5 years old so I think this is an anti-Kendrick thing
  20. Think Dean Martin has been left out (53.7 1969-2022) putting him at number 5 unless there's something I've forgotten about. Love these lists!
  21. Big impact from both Tate and Sam! New Fontaines in at 18, Selena/Gracie/Benny Blanco at 37, Jennie ft. Doechii at 72, Raving In The Studio remix at 149

"All Girls Are The Same" and "Or Nah" being certified 2x platinum means 61 songs have been certified multi platinum without reaching the top 40.
