Tom Grennan - What Ifs & Maybes
It's unfortunate because I liked his two singles a lot and they deserved to do better.
-
Ellie Goulding - Higher Than Heaven
All By Myself is doing good but I wonder if they will add it to the album so she has a couple of guaranteed popular lead singles? Let's face it, it will be popular.

The BRIT Awards 2023
I find it bizarre that Cat Burns can be nominated for Pop/R&B Act with ONE SONG? FFS. WHERE IS RAYE? ALSO SAM RYDER :cheer:

Sam Smith - Gloria
I know iTunes is sort of dead but Apple need to sort out their review system because Sam's album has 2.5 stars from 54 reviews and most of the 'reviews' are from trolls and homophobes who haven't bought the album. The Apple Music one has 1* from 7 reviews...

Mimi Webb - Amelia
AMELIA WEBB WHY IS YOUR SONG ONLY 2:22? THAT IS A RED FLAG DOLL :arrr: The full song is alright for an album song but most of it is in the TikTok snippet. :arrr: .

Streaming Services Chart Discussion
The new Cian Durcot song is so bland but TikTokers will listen to anything as long it has views and likes. He keeps singing it to strangers in public with a flash choir so he can record himself and he was DESPERATE to support Lewis Capaldi on tour DESPERATE!

Ireland (Eurosong) · Eurovision Song Contest 2023
The HOD Michael Kealy has done nothing for Ireland in over 10 years. This week he reposted the news that talked about the ROTTEN one to get attention or idfk. His revolutionary 5 tips for Ireland were: Look at last years top 10 (??)Don't write a song for Eurovision (WILD YOUTH??)Be able to sing (DUHHH)Make it 3 minutes or less (IT'S IN THE RULES FELLA)Native languages do well (WHERE IS GAELIC THEN?)CLUELESS MATE. Ireland at JESC 2022 sent a beautiful Gaelic ballad. He's proud of sending an anti-woke homophobe who thinks the whole thing is awful cringe dirge.

Oh yes Mo! The only thing I remember about last year was Idris Elba rocking up in his pink Gucci jacket, shades and his fly undone.

Ireland (Eurosong) · Eurovision Song Contest 2023
I've seen a few UK/Irish locals who hate Eurovision and/or haven't watched it since the 1970s taking this random stance: "Ireland should send John Rotten. I'd definitely watch it and he's far more interesting than that Sam Ryder". He has brought huge media and public interest for Eurosong if nothing else. The CONNOLLY song was uploaded as a demo so it could get a revamp. Wild Youth have wasted their chance of Q but their fanbase might get them to Eurovision. Brooke upgraded her performance and some of these are more accessible songs so a bit of oomph and making friends with their semi-final countries could them to the final.

The press are loving John Lydon. I can see locals voting for him that wouldn't normally be interested...

Why are Sped Up & Slowed Down versions so popular on TikTok?
The algorithm likes shorter clips as it circulates ones where people have watched 100% of it so if it's one with lots of lyrics (e.g. Escapism) the person can mime the words of the snippet they like and get their point across in less time. The normal version of a song is often more popular than any variation on streaming platforms.

Ireland (Eurosong) · Eurovision Song Contest 2023
My big question about Wild Youth is they are competent so why have they gone via Sweden? There are so many good songwriters in Ireland and the UK but they've made a generic stereotype of an ESC song. Someone described it as an X Factor's winner single from 2009 which is apt. The rap/RnB one is interesting I'd like to see how a song like that gets on at Eurovision - Daz Sampson tried loool.

Sam Smith - Gloria
It's not a ballad the chorus sounds like another attempt to have a viral TikTok song which is the norm these days. <_<

Lewis Capaldi - Broken By Desire To Be Heavenly Sent
It sounds like 5SOS or Coldplay more than him. The 1 song that fans want on the album is Figure It Out which was cut from the first album but the opening line is "Broken By Desire to be Heavenly Sent". He played it at his shows years ago but he also played Lasting Lover too before he gave it to James Arthur/Sigala. :arrr: It would be a huge hit if he did release it.

Måneskin - RUSH!
Obviously for the UK fans who were angry about R&L festival xxxxx @1610965815662190593

Sigala - Every Cloud
Has anyone heard RADIO yet? MNEK sounds fab-u-lous but the production is so bland I could recreate it myself given some basic beats.

Live Version v Studio Version
EuphoriaAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA. Some younger fans think the studio version is overrated but the live performance is one of the greatest in Eurovision history. It's so simple but it's a mesmorising experience and I love it to this day. She proved you don't need all the back-up dancers and elaborate staging when the song is a masterpiece and she FEELS EVERY SECOND of it. The smile on her face when the fans started clapping is the best. While I hate the song the live performance of SloMo makes it infinitely better.

Ella Henderson – Everything I Didn't Say
Crazy What Love Can Do is quite high in the Spotify chart and like Becky Hill, who will also get more sales, she has NYE music collabs.
