It’s inappropriate now but I bet Sam would be handed a presenting or green room role if the UK had won Eurovision in 2022. He’s very likeable and charismatic like Måns Zelmerlöw who won in 2015 then presented in 2016. Sam radiates the same vibes and he is one of the most liked and respected Eurovision artists ever in the fandom. It’s nice that the reaction last nice was so positive.

It was and he wanted to give the song more exposure but now it’s floundering on the album when it continues to be a highlight. I like some of his older music because lyrically they are good songs and his voice is a little edgier. I think Put A Light On Me would be compared to Lay It All On Me even though IMO I don’t think they sound that alike. I couldn’t make out the verses but the Mountain chorus is too on the nose at the moment.

The only song I can see being a hit from his album is Tiny Riot and it’s a crime that it hasn’t been re-released since Eurovision. I know it’s not as radio friendly as others like Put A Light On Me but the lyrics are powerful and Sam sounds great. It’s a shame it’s been allowed to flounder in the background because many consider it his strongest song and it’s his most popular one after Space Man with some liking it more than that. The BBC use his music a lot More is doing well on iTunes because of the advert. I heard some of Mountain and the chorus needs to be changed.

Sam needs to side-shuffle away from pop music and produce these demos he did long before he was signed. His voice is less polished but they are so him. It'll be rare unless they are one-hit wonders. Bob The Builder had "Can We Fix It?" and "Mambo No.5" which both scored #1 but he missed out with his 3rd single 7 years later.

I would much rather Sam get #1 this week and SZA next week it would be a win-win.

Some people are so critical of Sam on PopJustice and other places and I don't get it. Other 2022 Eurovision artists that are signed to international labels have not done anything like what he has done but they get praised all the time for things like appearing on TV show! Guess what he's done lots of them! :nocheer:

My favourite song is "OK" and Sam said he's friends with Timbaland, he's been supporting him a lot and they were gonna work on it together but they couldn't find time :blink:

I’m going to repeat what I said a few days ago and I think his team planned far in advance for bulk iTunes, Amazon, HMV, album shows, store bundles, etc. which are worth ££££. The promotion was done over time to encourage people to buy multiple copies for tour tickets, meet and greets and gigs to buffer inevitable low streaming.
