I am surprised that Mae's management did not attempt to book (at least) a bigger venue in London after she did a reasonably sized headline tour in 2022. It would have been a good opportunity to combine signings with a mini tour especially as she doesn’t have HMV signings. The venues they chose seem small…

I want it to debut reasonably well for Eurovision. Alright she was absolutely terrible and the marketing could be better but her tour was already cancelled now if her album does badly and then she’s dropped it isn’t going to encourage others to consider it. PSA to pre-order her album 💿 (no I haven’t)

Yes my post was before that so I’m glad she announced some. They seem to be 300-400 capacity so they need to add a ton of other promo or discounts during release week. Maybe she will surprise us all with 20K+ sales :lol:

I suppose, but I thought she’d be focusing on sales or downloads for a prize, not streaming, but there was another competition to win her Eurovision outfit :rolleyes: Her album launch at G-A-Y on 16/09 is only £5 on the door so no album purchase required for that either. I was thinking of where she’s going to get her sales from aside from her official store tbh. I get sponsored ads but it remains to be seen whether that is effective.

This is going bananas on TikTok and the car/bike community have adopted it. It’s nice to see she’s credited as the only performer-writer-producer. Debuted at #20 on the chart.

Mae was doing acoustic shows with album signings but now these are without the album and she’s signing merch and album cards instead. This should give her a boost if she can sell them. The downside is she hasn’t sold out yet and people might choose to purchase the entry ticket and not the album if they can’t get the CD or vinyl signed. I don’t think she is doing HMV signings but there might not be the interest for that.

I guessed <40K because Padam Padam is slightly a TikTok song IMO and I’m unsure whether her comeback is established enough from that. I’m a pessimist but happy to be proven wrong.

It was reportedly a 1 album deal and after that they had some creative differences and decided to part ways. I don’t think it’s a bad thing, no matter the reason tbh. He’s a free spirited kinda person and he should stay true to himself instead of pivoting into some weird label mainstream pop sound when he’s a metal head at heart. Going by his latest social media activity he seems happy enough doing whatever he’s doing.
