The BBC need credible songwriters to be interested in the contest who want their songs (not rejects) to be performed with recording artists they have worked with. They found Space Man because the producer worked with Sam on it and said he would be great. Amy Wadge was proud to say she had co-written it. At previous National Final it's 6 songs found in the bin with singers who lack experience. All they did was sing a bland song for 3 minutes and the public decided who was best based on that when normally only 1 was a good singer in the first place. I don't think much thought was put into it.

In terms of this weak Melodifestivalen it is a strong entry but I'd love to see the other 2800 entries that missed out because most of them are bland and boring. It feels like blatant sabotage to give Loreen the best chance. I saw people complain about the same songwriters being used for a bunch of songs at Melfest making them all cookie cutter songs but now it's Loreen it's ok. If Marcus and Martinus had a huge staging budget for "Air" who knows what they could have done? The lyrics are just as basic and cringe. I'm happy people like the song but it does not have that winner moment where I want to punch my fist in the air and shout the lyrics at the top of my lungs "OOH OOH ALL I KNOW ALL I KNOW LOVING YOU IS A LOSING GAME" or "EUPHORIAAAAA TOGETHER UNTIL THE END OF TIME" or air guitar to Zitte E Buoni.

The self-proclaimed Mr Eurovision who works for the BBC and wiwibloggs spamming Rina's social media comment section has not helped to lessen the hype. I feel so sorry for the artist if it isn't her. It's hard enough to follow Sam without thinking Eurovision fans don't want you in the first place and the annoucement will be full of "WE WANTED RINA" comments. They could do what every other country has done and reveal the artist without the song.
