Some kind of bliss by Kylie Minogue. Debut single from Impossible Princess. It stalled at no22 and was her first song not to make the T20.

Well confessions was her last great album for me. Everything else since then has been under par.

It’s been a terrible year in general for music. The quarter 4 release schedule has been abysmal and worst on record. I’ve pretty much lost interest in following the charts now.

Go Tom but sadly I think he’ll be overtaken by Wham later in the week.

The bonus tracks are quite dull apart from no more tears for new years.

I was kinda disappointed with the track listing for cd single reissue. Some updated remixes would have been more interesting.

I think you’re missing the point I was making that chart positions alone do not necessarily mean a song is a great track but let’s just agree to disagree!

It’s hardly a declaration for it being one of the best Christmas tracks but clearly it’s popular and that will be due to media, airplay factors etc which have a heavy influence on the chart positions!

Oh Christ, no thanks. I hope they don’t bring it back. I hated everything about the X factor tbh. Most of their Christmas songs were absolutely dire - bland, tuneless manufactured rubbish selling in a bucketload.

But there are already far better Christmas songs out there. Wham’s last Christmas is very overrated and not the best Christmas song by a long shot and the fact it looks like being Christmas no1 again this year just reflects the sad state of the singles chart.

I’d like Tom Grennan to be no1. Wham’s last Christmas is just so overrated. There are far better Christmas tracks out there.

Someone on popjustiice is saying Christmas album is being reissued on Friday. Anybody have more information about this release?

The Christmas no1 spot is very open this year with several other artists releasing special physical editions of old classic tracks including Wham, Mariah & East 17. I am unsure whether this will reach no1 but it will certainly be top5.

Probably T75, rather than T40.

Hold on to now is my favourite from the album too!

It probably wouldn’t sell huge amounts in the first week but more likely to continue selling over a longer period. I’ve not bought any of their albums. I like most of their singles but a whole album doesn’t appeal to me. I would love a singles collection one day.

I’d be very surprised if we get volume 3, but we could in time get something like a hybrid tension album involving the full tracks from T1 and T2 with a few extra tracks thrown in.

I wonder if we’ll ever see proper reissues of parlophone era albums. Not just carbon copies of the standard tracks but deluxe editions including b sides, remixes & unreleased content like they did for the 4 PWL albums.
