The Tory fibs and fabrishications thread, Mk III
I despise the Tories and Sunak is incredible weak and out of touch but after earning over 2 million during the past year and paying extremely little tax due to most of his earnings being classed as wealth, how can he relate to the troubles of someone struggling on the breadline. However, I’m not entirely impressed by the Labour Party neither. Starmer seems a decent kind of chap who is more in tune with everyday people but Labour need to come up with stronger policies and more diversion away from the Tories. People are crying out for change after 14 years of the Tories and sadly the differences in policy between the two main parties is lacking.

Delta Goodrem - Hearts on the Run
I don’t recall hearing this at the tour but new Delta material is always positive to hear!

Dance Alone: Chart Predictions
It’s already reached no1 on iTunes but that doesn’t count for much these days. Sia hasn’t troubled the charts for a while and I can’t see this track making much of an impact neither. Top 50 maybe at best.

Dannii Singles Clash
We could be the one is easily better.

Dance Alone vs. Thinking 'Bout Us
Neither songs are great, I think they are both bland. We could be the one was a lot better and so is most of the tracks on tension!

Dance Alone ● Sia & Kylie
I have never disliked tension (the album). Overall, it’s very good apart from two songs. The Sia collab is okay. It’s listenable but pretty average really. There are far better tracks on tension though! I’m glad you like it!

Dance Alone ● Sia & Kylie
Just heard this. A bit underwhelming and somewhat bland compared to most of tension.

Pet Shop Boys - Nonetheless
The new single sounds more like their older material which I guess is not surprising given they have returned to Parlophone but why only 4 tracks on the 2nd cd of the deluxe? Surely they could have done more new versions of older hits.

Dance Alone ● Sia & Kylie
Is this new track from Sia’s upcoming album or tension reissue?

Political predictions for 2024
The UK election will be late in the year - November / December. Sunak will try and hold on as long as possible. The outcome will be a lot closer than the polls are predicting currently but I suspect labour will be the biggest party with a small majority or hung parliament. They will be elected on the promise that our statutory services need urgent reform but given the dire state of uk public finances, they will struggle to bring about the changes required without a significant change in policy direction. What is needed is a complete change in the redistribution of wealth and for too long, government policies have excarbated social inequalities in wealth particularly during the last 14 years. In the states, I think it could go either way and difficult to call but may depend on the outcomes of Trumps court cases. If he is convicted, I think people will begin to turn their backs on him and Biden will get a 2nd term. If the cases are delayed or he gets away with it, we could well be looking at Trump 2.0. Biden’s policies have been very unpopular and unless there is a change of course or leader then Trump re-election is more likely.

Justin Timberlake • Selfish
Really like this. Best thing he has done in a while.

2024 United States Presidential Election Thread
The situation in America has parallels with the U.K. In both countries, the two main parties have leaders neither of whom are very popular or inspiring. Biden is dull and boring. Trump is full of baloney and dangerous. Sunaq is out of touch and weak and Starmer is just dull and uninspiring. That creates a situation where many feel there is no real alternative. I think the outcome will be very close in the states and it could literally go either way. The polls will also narrow more in the UK too nearer the election and we could still end up with a hung parliament but with labour as the biggest party.

which Kylie song would you like to have a SEB/MOTD revival?
Better the devil you know, what do I have to do or confide in me.

Justin Timberlake • Selfish
Sounds a lot better than the stuff of his last album but I can’t see him doing well.

Kygo & Ava Max - Whatever
This is quite underwhelming compared to her other stuff. I really liked the last album and was expecting something more original rather than a half baked cover.

Sophie Ellis-Bextor
A limited physical cd single is being released so that will help its sales.

Padam Padam ● 1st single
How many other Kylie songs have gone gold? I think all the lovers managed it.

Sophie Ellis-Bextor
Murder is back at no2. Who would have thought! Can it go all the way this time? Probably not in my view!

Hold On To Now ● 3rd Single
I think it was a major mistake not releasing HOTN as the follow up to Padam Padam. Like you say, it’s such a huge anthem and really disappointing they didn’t push the song a lot more. Even though she sang it on the audience show, she never mentioned it was even her current single and there’s been no video or decent remixes released. I didn’t like that trance remix at all. I’m sure they could have done a much better club mix.

Justin Timberlake - Everything I Thought It Was
I haven’t liked anything he has done in quite some time. Didn’t like anything from man of the woods era. I think he will struggle to make a successful comeback now given his age and changes in the way the music industry works.

Madonna and Warner announce career-spanning partnership
Masterpiece, I don’t search and love spent are good but she hasn’t produced a whole album I have liked since confessions.

Madonna and Warner announce career-spanning partnership
So much for the reissues coming to light. I’m more excited about these than her current projects. Madonna hasn’t done anything great in my book since confessions era.

Oliver Heldens x Kylie Minogue - 10 out of 10
The remix is awful just like the song itself. I really don’t comprehend why it was even included on the album as it’s a really poor track.

Tension ● 16th album discussion
I’ve seen a post on Facebook stating Kylie is set to tour in Australia this year but it hasn’t been confirmed yet. Not sure how true this is given she is still tied into Vegas.
