I’ll be surprised if it does sell 60k in the first week. Yes, there are lots of formats but 60k is a big ask in the current climate. Olivia Rodrigo only just managed to sell 60k last week on the back of a highly successful first album and two hit singles. She is far more contemporary and has a wider appeal to general public. I don’t like any of her music though.

I can’t see Kylie selling that much. I think 60k at best but probably under that amount.

Last week, tension had the benefit of cassette sales added. I think it will help to stabilise the song but not sure it will return to the T40.

Not as good as some of her other stuff. It’s not terrible but doesn’t really grab me.

The problem is Labour will be inheriting an economy in a really poor place. There isn’t the money like there was last time they got in so this will restrict what they can actually do. Labour do have some good ideas unlike the Tories who have nothing credible to offer apart from their usual incompetence.

Tension was helped by physical release boosting sales in the first week. BMG have not used that strategy previously. Also, tensions sales were likely to be affected to some degree on the back of the success of Padam but I think Kylies chances of repeat T40 hits are slim given her age and lack of airplay / promotion unless BMG continue to evolve new strategies to boost her.

Tension is likely to sell strongly in the first week but after then I’m unsure about its longevity. I think padam will be a one off so would be surprised if any other singles take off in the same way.

I’m still unsure how this will perform over the long run. I don’t doubt it will get to no1 on first week but when you look at album sales in general they are dire. I think I read Lewis Capaldi is best selling album of the year and he has only sold about 130k to date. Of course, Kylie could buck the trend. Has the track list for Japan market been announced? Sometimes Japan include bonus material.

Kids is ridiculously overrated and deffo not up there with her best work.

Most of the tracks in the T20 are what I’d expect apart from wow, kids, chocolate and come into my world. Great to see say something, put yourself in my place and confide in me in the T10. What do I have to do should have been T20 and hand on your heart.

I’ve heard all four eras and they were good. Looking forward to the final instalment.

I remember when disco and golden came out, I was dead excited but not feeling in the mood for this era at all. Nothing has grabbed my interest apart from hold onto now. I’ll reserve judgment until I’ve heard the album but not expecting much based on 10 out of 10 or tension. It will most likely be one album I skip.

I really like this album but I’m disappointed the physical release doesn’t include lion heart, a brilliant upbeat track. Any news about whether the album will be reissued?

There are a few tracks that come to mind; Into the blue - As other people have stated, this should have been a sure fire T10 hit but they deleted the itunes version. The one - This should have been the 1st or 2nd single and the remix does nothing to help the track. Where is the feeling - An odd and poor choice of single as the follow up to put yourself in my place. Decon could have chosen something better like time will pass you by or dangerous game. Get outta my way - The remixes were rubbish and didnt add anything to help the song. Maybe a decent b side might have helped.

If she was going to work with anyone, I'd love to see a collaboration with someone like Tom Grennan or maybe Calvin Harris again. However, Padam has proven that she doesn't necessarily need to go down this route in order to have a hit.

That’s a pretty pathetic comment to make. Just because my opinion is different to yours and most other fans on here. Some people on here seem to just like everything Kylie releases regardless of the quality or whether it’s actually good. I can’t do that and will only support it if I like it. I don’t expect you or anyone else to understand that and it’s fine if you want to label me!

Don’t get me wrong. I’m really pleased we’re getting a deluxe but it doesn’t seem long since the standard edition came out. I love the new album so anything extra is great!

This might be the first Kylie album I don’t buy. I’m seriously thinking about cancelling my preorder as really not into this era at all. I know I’m probably in the minority on this site but my other half feels the same too. Will be interesting to see how it performs as Olivia Rodrigo has sold a lot less in the Monday update than I expected first week so those first week sales might not be as high as many are expecting.

Looking unlikely to be T40 based on todays midweek position.

Well it would be great if Cher releases an original Christmas album rather than the usual ones which include the same dreary covers. Fingers crossed. This looks promising.
