  1. Padam padam sounds like something I would expect from someone half her age. It just isn’t really her. Feels very much like trying to get on the band wagon to fit with a more modern sound but at the expense of poor lyrics and over production. I didn’t think 10 out of 10 was great but this is quite possibly the worst thing she has done in a long time.
  2. Well I’ve just heard Padam Padam. Not impressed. I don’t really like it. The lyrics and her voice aren’t great. Very disappointed after the amazing disco album.
  3. She needs to go back to her earlier sound from prism era or teenage dream. Witness and smile were pale in comparison to her earlier work. The tracks just weren’t strong enough to produce decent hits.
  4. If labour win outright, I think their majority will be relatively small and no where as big as the Tories got at the last election. This could well make it tricky getting through key pieces of legislation.
  5. It came out on the back of CGYOOMH so was never likely to be that successful given the album fever had also sold over a million. I think it’s done well in light of the circumstances!
  6. Guardian are reporting labour could be short by 28 seats of an overall majority if the same results are repeated at a general election. Obviously people can vote differently at a GE and this is likely to be more than a year away so things could change considerably.
  7. The remix is great and adds new life to the song. I wish they had been more creative in odyssey and remixed the songs like this!
  8. Hopefully a change in government is coming. The local election results are very promising and long due!
  9. https://www.thesun.co.uk/tvandshowbiz/22240...ena-tour-album/ According to the sun, the new single is coming by the end of this month!!
  10. Deffo up there with one of her best and her last T3 single!

I doubt this will do well. It’s certainly not up there with her bangers from last two albums. More of an album track than lead single.
  12. Sounds interesting from the clip but a somewhat strange release. We only had odyssey a few years ago which included redone versions that in my view ruined the original songs but this sounds better than that but will reserve full judgement until after hearing the full track!
  13. Higher than heaven is her best album in my view.
  14. Thanks, I’ve ordered one!!
  15. Sold out!
  16. Not impressed with the new single. Not anywhere near as good as a lot of her other songs. Feels like a big step back.

Totally agree, she’s done some fantastic tracks especially don’t be so hard on yourself and hold my hand.
  18. Loving days is brilliant. Reminds me of something from impossible princess era.
  19. In any other organisation, given the sheer number of complaints Raab would have been suspended from his role so it’s even more laughable and shocking that he actually resigns rather than being told to go. This is yet another example that the Tories seem to live in their own little world where they make their own rules rather than living by everyone else’s.
  20. I can’t see the Tories winning the next election. The worst outcome will most likely be a hung parliament but hopefully Labour will get a working majority to govern. I think it will be a lot closer than the polls are predicting but the cost of living crisis will be the main factor unless there is another Tory scandal before then.
  21. Bonus tracks on Royal edition are as follows; Bone dry Wanted man Inhale / exhale mix Queen of me - Acoustic Giddy up - remix Wanted man is quite good and much better than the two bonus tracks on the deluxe.
  22. Starmer comes across as weak and their current dirty campaign of showing adverts about Rishi Sunak is awful. However, having said all that, We badly need a change of government and people need to give labour a chance. Alternatively, we will be stuck with the same status quo who have no real policies that are going to address the problems we are facing and they will continue to drain funding of our public sector and the NHS will go completely down the drain.
  23. Sophie Ellis Bextor - Lost in the sunshine (out 18th April) https://sophieellisbextor.net/
  24. Both her album and single sales this week are relatively low for a number one but this is still an achievement. Ellie has clearly passed her peak and the album might struggle to silver status.
