It’s not a very good song so only likely to appeal to her hardcore fan base.

Looking forward to this album a lot. Everything I’ve heard from this era so far has been good. I’m intrigued to know when the deluxe album is coming!

This is a bit boring tbh.

I don’t think anybody is expecting those acts to release every year but the point I was making is that this year there has been less competition than usual due to a lacklustre release schedule.

Streaming has largely killed the album market. This year’s album sales are particularly poor following a lacklustre Q4 release schedule but last year the Q4 album market had some bigger releases from the likes of Adele, Ed Sheerann and ABBA but sales are unlikely to reach the levels they once were about 6-7 years ago in Q4.

Neither are my favourite but out of the two, I much prefer breathe.

People are forgetting that all the proceeds from the song are going to charity at a time when that is much needed. I don’t like the song much neither but at least it’s going to a good cause. Maybe someone can release a decent charity song for a change next year!

I’m not sure what the article means by disco tracks being included on the new record. Maybe some of the deluxe songs will be new recordings from the disco era but I certainly don’t want the new album to include tracks from disco that we already have.

The vocals on Madonna’s version are terrible. Kylie’s version was always miles better.

Well the strikes look like they are going to escalate in the new year. The Tories aren’t listening and their response so far has been pathetic. These strikes are about more than just pay but the impact of years of austerity resulting in cuts to services and pay / conditions.

Not liked any of her recent stuff since the last song from phoenix so hoping this will be a return to form.

Definitely a better album cover. I’ve read there is going to be a deluxe edition of this album including 6 additional tracks to the standard edition. Can’t see it for sale anywhere on preorder though!

Into the blue has a good upbeat feel so it could be a new years anthem I guess.

I agree completely. He is a compulsive liar and knows he is deep in the s**t but the cheek of it to be allowed to use taxpayers money towards his defence is the worst part of it.

There is an article in the Guardian today that the general public have been paying Johnson’s legal fees through taxpayers money to defend himself during the privileges committee investigation exploring partygate. This is outrageous. In what other role where someone is accused of public misconduct would this be allowed to happen? If I committed misconduct in my social work job, I would have to attend a public hearing and pay for my own lawyer. Yet another example of one rule for them and one for us at a time when public services are crying out for additional money to be able to function properly.

No doubt this will be another dreadful sounding song but at least it’s for a good cause.

I disagree - While albums don’t sell like they used to, it’s still an amazing achievement to be Xmas no1.
