For those interested, apparently the album has already sold 15k and is 10k ahead of sza at no2 so likely to outsell Olly Murs first week sales!!

Wave 3 is also really good. My favourites are merry mountain, boo lake and maple treeway.

The strikes are not just about pay but in relation to growing dissatisfaction with the current Tory government who have effectively run public services down to the ground after years of austerity and taken many public sector workers for granted while we continued to work hard throughout the pandemic while ministers were engaged in partygate.

I’m a social worker and the unions accepted a 5% pay rise but I question whether we should not have accepted it. We have been subject to a pay freeze for many years during the Cameron era and 5% is well below current rate of inflation. It’s effectively a pay cut. We worked throughout the pandemic just like nurses, teachers and other emergency workers and I just feel the government has taken us for granted like all of the public sector.

I wouldn’t buy the album again as didn’t really like it.

I think Sam will smash it. Gonna predict 50k and no1 for first week! Album sounds amazing too. Best thing out in Q4 By a long shot.

This weeks number one is probably only going to sell 25k so with the lack of competition in the album market this year, I’d be surprised if this wasn’t in the top 3 at least next week.

Very interesting sales. I wonder whether Kylie would have reached no1 with hand on your heart if ferry across the Mersey hadn’t been delayed by one week? Both tracks sold 103k in their first week at no1.

I thought the deluxe was clean as the photo on eBay didn’t have an explicit lyrics sticker until it arrived and the sticker warning was on it. Problem is you can still tell the bits where the swearing is muted out.

I’ve only just bought the album. I got the deluxe including the additional 3 tracks. Not impressed at all. Swearing and foul language in nearly every song. The songs are pretty average and not as good as most of her earlier stuff. I will be selling my copy on eBay as don’t want to listen to swearing in songs. Totally unnecessary and not something she ever did until recently. This has completely put me off supporting her as an artist again.

Excited to hear a new album is on the way!

2022 has been a largely uneventful year for me musically. Worst ever Q4 release schedule and just lack of interesting releases in general this year. The singles chart has become somewhat stale and boring since streaming.

Opinion poll on Peston yesterday had labour ahead by 21%.

Sales were definitely on a declining trend from devil onwards.

I cannot believe the number of albums which have been scheduled for Q1 next year. The Q4 market this year is the worst I can ever remember in terms of lack of interesting releases but Q1 2023 looks the opposite at the minute!

Well it’s not been confirmed by the government yet but I do think the Brexit situation will be reviewed particularly if Labour are elected in terms of the current deal.

Gold is my favourite. Not keen on the two new tracks on platinum.

I liked it tbh. It’s a better lead single than American life.

I don’t have many current singles but when the charts were more interesting and cd singles were available, I’d probably buy 2-3 on average each week.
