we shall see... they may have a loyal fanbase mate, however i think that alot of their album sales get caught up in the christmas spree. you see what i'm saying ?

Its all about Albums my fellow friends LOOOOL. That's what counts not 99p singles .... girls aloud have only had one #1 album which was a greatest hits. Its funny that every time they seem to release an album around the xmas period. Probably if they released it mid summer or earlier they wouldn't sell half as much as they do ;)
  4. they can .... though it's harder as Oasis clearly shift alot of phsyical cds... and since they are dying it will make it harder for them.
  5. i can't see ACDC that high tbh.
  6. next weeks albums will be interesting ....with Keane,Oasis,Kings of leon still selling strong. i think kaiser chiefs should get to #1 leon maybe #2... i dunno if sugababes will go higher than #5 IMO
  7. support acts from Kasabian and the enemy.

at te moment i would say 1-be here now 2-dig out your soul 3-morning glory 4-definitely maybe 5-standing on the shoulder of giants 6-don't believe the truth 7-heathen chemistry tha masterplan isn't really an album ;)
  11. it is :) Oasis do have a strong loyal fanbase in america which alot of people fail to grasp... To be honest oasis have done pretty well in america overall . they always play respectable sized arenas.. and 3 of their abums have charted inside the top5.. and 2 charted inside the top25. and the b-side and best of top100. Along with the live album which made a top200 entery.
  12. the overall sales are at an all tim low... so back in 2005 dig out your soul would have sold much more. the new record label Warner brothers has been promoting the album really well and i think it will easily clear 200k+ and outsell Don't believe the truth which had near to zero promotion!!

it's your a opinion... but f*** off. atleast reply with an elaborated post..rather than being a ignorant little t***.

coz this thread was a way to give Mcfly a more credible status... Plz you know what oasis have done in their career in the charts (if that's what your going to go end with). i wouldn't mind this thread about coldplay but McFly is pathetic. Oasis have made a footprint atleast in the uk as one of the most successful and influential bands of our time. They don't need to sell another copy of an album/single to be more credible TBH.
  19. Jez posted a post in a topic in UK Charts
that may be the case but when people compare Mcfly with oasis... how can you expect this thread to turn into a serious debate? its a complete joke FFS compare oasis with their peers like coldplay,u2,radiohead, and so on not with bleedin McFly..

come on people we gotta admit this has been a good thread TBH...atleast it has give this place a wake up call that people can't slate the big boys (oasis)without getting pushed against the wall.. Oh $h!t i'm in trouble no shouldn't have said that.

oh look mr clever clogs is back again..... if oasis made a radiohead album they would be slated. one minute people say oasis are $h!t now and the first 2 are great... so if oasis wanna better those first 2 they have to write the same stuff as the first 2. No thanks i dont want oasis turning into fake $h!t... trying to write the same wonderwall of 2008.

and i would say alot of bands first work turns out the best.. because they don't have any pressure... media camping outside their homes, anything to compare with. Oasis get it hard with the media and casual buyers... as they are an easy target unlike coldplay,u2 i personally think Coldplay come out with the same music..and by far their first album was their best, X&Y was pretty p*** poor (IMO).. if you compare it with parachuttes.. but in it's own right with an open mind it isn't that bad.
