deserves to be #1 if it was only physicals this would have been #1 :( ... though the album shooots up to #25 :o ;) (this by far more important) money is generated far more from albums than singles... for a band that have sold 7million singles and over 13million albums in the UK alone they have done things that not many bands have done.

still love this album!! People will think i'm being biased. BUt this is by far the most underrated album of the year!! I saw them live in LA last week 15,000people in the arena ;) best tracks Bag it up the turning the shock of the lightning im outta time (classic OASIS) Falling down Aint got nothing i have given a few people my CD here in the states and every one seems to enjoy it.. everyone has different stand out tracks some say (get off your high horse lady) some say (im outta time) some say (waiting for the rapture) if anyone hasnt got this album go and F*cking buy it!!

well the Ep is at #51 and the album is #3 on iTunes which is far more important than a 79p single :yahoo:

is iTunes giving oasis's single trouble ? i dont understand why its not top100 yet the album is #10 and the ep is #56 ?? WTF is going on ?

well since this album is going bloody cheap and its right near to xmas its bound to shift alot...dont get me wrong they would have sold loads,,anytime of the year but i dont think as much as this.

now be here now ;) i really do agree that be here now is highly underrated... infact i would go and say that it is the most underrated album ever. I love be here now every thing about it !! I personally feel that it's oasis best album ! no really i do ,, it was oasis not giving a f*ck that makes it so great. it will be big but it wont break history! No way will it do what oasis did in 1997 with "be here now'' sold 696,000copies in 3days and 813,000copies in it's full 7days on sale.

I'm not sure if Itunes sales for albums are that big really ? i remember 2weeks ago the verve were #1 (after the album being really cheap) yet it only charted at #39 in the albums chart. it has no where near the same affect as singles do.

Despite its drop its sales last were are up.

i would agree with sunday morning call...its such an underrated tune, infact the album was underrated no where near as bad as people say. The shock of the lightning seems underrated too!!

but these bands never had any real success outside of the uk and ireland.. boy bands like N'sync , backstreet boys have had world wide success

i'm sorry but 8million world wide is utter nonsense! In 2000 Coast to coast was certfied 5xplatinum in the uk 1.5million shipment,, and it was given a 2million sales award in europe,, so 500,000 were shiped sales in the rest of europe (eg ireland,italy germany and so on) so it sold 2million in the year 2000 in europe,, where the hell can the other 6million come from? ok i will give you the benefit of he doubt and say 1.5million in asia (which i believe is personally absurd!!) thats 3.5million?? where else can the other 4.5million come from ??

nah i can see them ending up top12 easily if not top 10... they will shift a good amount through christmas..they are still shifting 10k weekly and when the single is out next week we will see the album back in the top30.. and people will pick this up for christmas its only been out for a little over 7weeks so its relatively still new..the album is nowhere over yet...they still have a 3rd single too to be released.

yep! the album is now #11 in the YTD so its doing pretty good. But the single will boost the sales more ;) its #31 in the uk airplay up from #60 which is good.

it is a great tune... Liam has delievered a TUNE!

chris martin is always saying things like this ;) ... they won't retire.

it did fall abit but still sold around 12k at #31 it is #14 in the Year end albums with sales of around 340,000after 6weeks... this actually happens to oasis but they will climb back up the charts especially around december..they should make the top10 of the year end. So i'm not really worried ;) as Don't believe the truth did nearly the same and went on to shift 952,000copies as of last month ;)

dido will be #1 but with no where near as big sales as her previous album which did like 400k first week.

Liam has proven that he can come up with a few Gems ;) ... this is classic Oasis :) ...you cant mess with this band. still going strong after 15years of noise and confusion. In years to come these guys will be looked at as the new rolling stones or the beatles of our time. And thats what they are the have actually turned into the Rolling stones,, their record sales are lower than before but they still fill big stadiums and arenas across the globe :)
