  1. I've never actually watched a Cricket game from start to finish but I've seen bits and pieces of one somewhere along the way. If I recall correctly, its kinda sorta like our Baseball ....... I think.
  2. I must say that article is funny, what with Rob wanting to get back out on the road and all  But I can see how the careers can cause a problem, its not like she's a film actress that works a couple of months out of the year and has freedom to move around. She is a television actress and being on a tv show is steady daily work which would keep her in LA. I have wondered how the relationship would work out when Rob actually starts working and is away from home for long periods of time. Long distance relationships are extremely difficult to maintain and often don't work out. Its great that Ayda has a career of her own, but often the career that is not all too flexible, can pose more problems than anything else. For Rob or anyone in the music business actually, I'd think it would be better if he has someone that is able to travel with him.
  3. Wow the Sun actually printed some truth :o LOL The Blockheads site has confirmed that Chaz is working with Rob for Rob's upcoming album Very exciting. I can only imagine what brilliance they'll come up with together B) I think we should be prepared to be amazed.
  4. HUH !?! Ronson didn't know Rob was such a great songwriter ?? What ?! He worked with him on Rudebox, you'd think he would have known that already and not just realized it. But nevertheless its good to see someone acknowledge Rob publicly about writing his own stuff and being a great songwriter. I don't think anyone else has said those words publicly ever so to Ronson.
  5. Rubbing balls ?! Well then Rob would fit right in
  6. If that's even true about the cd recycling, I bet EMI ships loads of other cd's as well but ofcourse Rob gets singled out :arrr:
  7. You know what ?! It doesn't matter what Tim actually said or didn't say. He should not have said anything at all. Rob said in his blog the album is delayed for whatever reason he gave, that should have been it publically and let them wrangle this out with EMI privately as it should be. All Tim did by making it public is put even more pressure on Rob and the album once it is actually released. The expectations for the album would have been VERY high regardless but with this whole public battle and he said / they said c**p, by making such a big stink about the album, the expectations will be off the charts and only give the press more ammunition to rip into Rob even more than they ever had with Rudebox or in general. Honestly I don't get it. While I understand them re-evaluating everything since the new owners took over, I don't get why make a big stink about it. Rob only has one album left. It really doesn't matter how much promo or marketing EMI does with this album. What will determine whether it is a success or not will be the material itself and whether Rob does major personal promo or not. No amount of adverts or promos EMI do will help if Rob doesn't personally promo the hell out of it. He could have released the album, do major promo for it and be done with EMI. That is if he does actually want to leave when the contract is up or if this big stink is really about the future of another contract with EMI.
  8. Good grief its going from bad to worse everyday. He's just keeping a tight grip on his album, its hardly the end of his career. Oh that Tim. How I wish he would have kept the big mouth shut.
  9. What gets me in this is that EMI did not turn incompetent overnight or ever since the take over. They were always horrible especially with marketing any of Rob's stuff so why did they wait so long to dig in their heels ?? That makes absolutely no sense when Rob only has one original album left on his contract. They should have done this years ago when it actually would have mattered or maybe they're a bit jittery since Rudebox didn't perform up to Rob's standards. A little too late I'd say. And Tim should have been sticking up for Rob when Rudebox got mashed with dirt in the UK press and maybe put a little blame on EMI then when it mattered more than it does now.
  10. Is it only me then that thinks this 'strike' news is all a bunch of cr*p ?! I can't see Tim Clark giving 2 interviews in a very short amount of time about Rob and EMI. I also don't see Tim laying it all out publically like that, I don't think that would be very wise of him and he's a very smart business man. Its all to coincidental for me, that all this news is on the heels of Rob's blogs that there will be no album this year. I could totally see the press twisting it all into Rob is withholding the album from EMI. First we had, Rob is quitting EMI. Then we had Rob is releasing an album in 2008 as part of the big 'comeback' Then we get Rob's blog, squashing those rumours and saying there's no album coming out. Now we have Rob is withholding the new album from EMI. I don't know, its all too much of a coincidence for me. As for Rob signing with Sony. Hell no I definitely would rather him stay with EMI. That Tommy Mattola is as evil as they come and I don't think Rob is too keen to work with him anyways after meeting him. Plus George Michael has had a horrible relationship with them not to mention other artists. I want Rob to stay as far away from Sony as he possibly can. Either stay with EMI or just go independent. There's no reason for him to sign with any other record company. The reason In Good Company was set up was to release Escapology so they can do that with the next album if he leaves EMI now.
  11. Yeah there are several different versions and one christmas one. LOL it looked really dorky when they put christmas props behind him to make it look festive  He did do a lot of promo in 2004 but then there were many more tv venues for him to visit than currently which is a bummer.
  12. Looks fab Supreme Well done !!!!!!
  13. These kind of shows only do one thing and make the fans look like complete losers and nutters for lack of better words  I honestly don't know why any self respecting fan would volunteer to be on these kinda cheesy and tacky things.
  14. Awww I was there  :cheer: You can see me at 3:15 and 3:35  :o If I remeber correctly that was taped October 1, 2004. Rob performed Radio several times during the shoot and Misunderstood B)
  15. Loved the blog. He's his honest, funny, charming self  I've missed his writing, he's so good at it I wish he'd do it more often. Can't say I'm surprised that there won't be an album out this year. Despite the rumours flying around I never really thought there would be one so I'm not disappinted. And no touring, well I never thought we'd see him tour anytime in the near future anyways. As he says the last one nearly killed him, he certainly doesn't have to do it for the money anymore, his health and well being is far more important. I'm very excited that we may be getting some Bsides. We've wanted him to do an album of Bsides, so maybe he's listening I don't care how he releases it, online or album, atleast we know we will be getting something and he does like to surprise us so who knows what he comes up with B) There's no rush for a new album. He's not been away for long anyways. 2 years off in between albums is very normal. Actually rather rare with huge artists like Rob, as they usually take much longer than that. I'd rather he take his time and really love what he's done then release something half arsed and that is not his way so when we do get album, stand back, we'll be in for a treat The most important thing is that he is well, happy and enjoying life and his time off. He deserves it !!!!
  16. The Actor. Love both songs but The Actor is supremo B)
  17. I don't see why Rob would get angry over it. EMI never spent any money marketing him anyway
  18. Well I'm sure Guy is thrilled to have made up with Rob and writing with him again. He can look forward to a certified hit in the future. Funny how the press goes on about Guy being the hit maker behind Rob and yet he hasn't really come up with any remarkable hits writing with others. About this article, the only truth in it is that Rob will be coming out with a new album in 2008. If he will do any live performances I'd imagine it would be in '09. I don't think he should be touring again anyways, not in the traditional sense. He can just do a few live gigs, like he did for Intensive Care promos. Not only does it not give him more flexibility and more room to breathe, but it gives fans a chance to see him in a more intimate setting. Tickets won't be easy to get but the fans are a resourceful bunch so I think they'll find a way to get them. I don't get how they came at the 150 million pound figure though ?? Did they just pull that out of a hat ??
  19. Which begs the question .............. why are the worlds biggest movie stars Scientologists ?? They're taking over the world
  20. He does. Or he had one anyways. I remember seeing a picture of Rob on a motorcycle or something and he was wearing the Che tshirt.
  21. LOL good on you for challenging them. These tabloid 'journalists' are just the rejects who weren't good enough to get proper journalism jobs. That's the way I see them. Poor Rob, even his hair is not good enough. I'm sure he'll have sleepless nights over that  I can just see the next story ............. Robbie's hair revenge. He's so jealous of Barlow getting voted for better hair that he is planning a follicle comeback
  22. I always thought that there's an agreement between radio stations and record companies, that determines what is played on radio. I think at this point, Robbie fans are not very opened to new sounds from him and really would prefer the old standard, Angels type songs. Ofcourse if he would just do the same thing, then there would be complaints that he doesn't try anything new. He can't win either way.
  23. :puke2: oh did you have to ??!!! You just put me off my lunch and dinner with the left picture
  24. The eggnog and fruit cake obviously effected their brains
  25. Those nasty gits can't even be nice on Christmas  I hope they get coal in their stockings
