May 2007 - The Normal Stuff
Scotty, I don't think we had that song in the US. The only one I remember from The Verve was Bittersweet Symphony and I think they died out after that one ;)

50 Cent set for Robbie Duet
Yes 50 Cent is using Rob to generate some interest for himself but we know that there's been interest from both of them to work together so Fiddy may not be talking completely out of his ass.

May 2007 - The Normal Stuff
Them lads are spreading themselves very thin ... LOL bedlinen, what's next a new generation of TT dolls  Well I don't know what Rob needs to get it over and for who and why ?? I can just see the press now, saying that he's crawling or crawled back to TT because his career is in trouble or over with and any subsequent success he'll have will be attributed to him having performed with TT at this Princess Diana concert. I don't think his hard work, success and talent should be reduced to that, not after what he's accomplished on his own and how much sweat he's put into the last 10 years. I think the time is wrong for it, not now, not how the atmosphere and attitude is toward Rob and his career in the UK is at the moment. Plus just out of principal, if I'd be Rob, I wouldn't set foot on that stage not after how the press/media in the UK have treated him this year alone and now they want to use him to pat themselves on the back for accomplishing such a coup and make more money for themselves. And then they'll turn around and slag him off again. I hope he doesn't allow himself to be used in such a way by the media rats.

50 Cent set for Robbie Duet
whatever direction Rob wants to go in is fine with me, I'm with him for the long haul, but I wouldn't mind him moving away from the ballads and rock anthems of yester year. Rudebox is brilliant, I'd take any of it over a ballad any day. I love the direction he's been going in and want him to continue exploring new and different sounds, taking risks and doing the kind of music he wants, the kind that satisfies him personally and not trying to please anyone else. Yes, by going in different musical directions he may lose a few fans but at the same time he gains new fans as well. At the end of the day he has to feel good about what he's produced and feel good about himself and he can only do that by pleasing himself and not the fan base. really sorry, but what does what happened a year ago or how big a crowd outside some hotel was, have to do with 50 Cent saying he and Rob might collaborate together ?? We know their people have been in touch and that Rob wanted to work with him, he said so himself in the Big Issue interview. Maybe since then they have been in the process of collaborating ?? Ofcourse those fans hanging on for dear life after Rudebox would not be happy to hear he may be collaborating with another rapper, and if he does he surely will lose those fans but the only way to grow and progress in life and in one's career is to take chances. Playing it safe won't get you anywhere and will make life very boring. Its one of the things I love about Rob, he always does something different, always does his own thing, no following the pack for him. I'm excited to hear what he comes up with for his next album. I hope he does something different with Swing. Knowing Rob I'm sure he'll put his own unique spin on whatever songs he covers. I'm hoping there will be more original material, I'm sure if he put his mind to it he can come up with some swing - y songs B)

50 Cent set for Robbie Duet
well I guess I'm the only one who would be looking forward to it ;) 50 Cent is not my favourite, I'd rather have Eminem or Jay Z, but I'm sure with Rob they can pull something out. Rob wasn't trying to rap on Rudebox. He can rap very well if he wants to but that's not what he was going after with Rudebox and unfortunately people mistakenly took it for a 'Robbie rapping' album which it is not. The hip hop thing shouldn't surprise anyone really as he's always been into hip hop, rap and all that. He mentioned collaborating with 50 Cent in the Big Issue article, so this is not new news but I for one would welcome their collaboration. and on a side note ... Thank god Timbeland never answered Rob's calls :cheer:

April 2007 - The Normal Stuff
Just saw on tv that Simon went on Ryan Seacrest's radio show this morning to explain the situation and apologize. The bit from last night's AI that I loved was when Simon said to Seacrest - what rattled your cage - in response to something Ryan said. Reminded me of Rob saying that to Louis Walsh :D

April 2007 - The Normal Stuff
I highly doubt it was as dramatic as that but if it they wouldn't make it into some scene out of a movie it wouldn't have spawned 8 articles  More shocking is that Rob's people actually confirmed lol

Not the most flattering jacket but I think its a beautiful one. He looks great to me and I LOVE those shoes Heaps better than that hospital orderly get up he wore to Barneys

April 2007 - The Normal Stuff
Oh I absolutely think she was in on the joke, in cahoots with the papps who were luaghing and her liitle smile to the camera just as she walked away I think gave her away. Very obviously staged. Those papps are getting more and more creative

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v141/LuvSupreme/barneys_070414_Robbie.jpg No one in America has a clue who Robbie William is. He is a hugh Pop Star in the UK and well know all over Europe and Australia. He lives in an incredible pad here in Beverly Hills with his own private scoccer field. He is a party animal too. We found him yesterday leaving Barney’s with a new and we are sure very expensive suit. Robbie looks really tired from probably a late night out on the town. Hey Robbie, you have a new suit there and you are going to get it wrinkled holding that way. Hold it by the hanger dear. And Get rid of the fag too. We do not like that in California. New "Swing" Album released this Summer
I know what you mean Susie and personally I'd want Rob to work with different producers not just one. MR may be going out to LA to work on the new album but that doesn't mean that he's producing the whole thing, it may just be a track or two. Plus, at this point, Rob is more in control of his music and the sound and he's more confident in his own abilities and ideas. He knows what direction he wants to go with a particular song so even with Ronson there I don't think Rob can be easily swayed. At the end of the day its Robbie Williams who calls the shots not Mark Ronson. I have all the trust in Rob to come out with something brilliant and uniquely his own. He hasn't let me down so far

New "Swing" Album released this Summer
But The Only One I know is only one song and its not even on his own album. Plus, I was under the impression that he recorded it a long time ago, during the same time he was doing Rudebox so I can see him doing this song as it was in the direction he was in at the time. We don't know what direction he's going in on his next original album and if we know anything about Rob its that he doesn't repeat himself. I'm certain it will not be anything like Rudebox or IC. As for the swing, he's got to put a different spin on it as the old standards have been done to death since swing 1 but I sincerely hope Mr. Diddy is nowhere to be seen

The Only One I Know
I like the song and I like Rob's vocal on it but the song itself is nothing special. I've listened to it a lot now and it hasn't really grabbed me, its just a good song but there's no ooomph in it. It just sorta blends in ;)
