  1. There's a nice article in this week's Look magazine saying that Kylie has been in constant touch with Robbie, and they have planned dinner and trips to the football next month in London.

Only time will tell how true it is, but I'd love to see them together...

As likely as him coming over to hers for Christmas dinner.

Hasn't the hook up with Kylie been done to death ?! I'd rather see him with Paris lol

Another case of lazy journalism and slow newsday  The pages have to filled with something. Anyways, I think its an old rehashed story, I seem to remember reading something similar a while back.

  2. Well I'm well disgusted with this. I did brush it off as just the usual 3 am c**p talk but its now been picked up online by two other sites and that's not good and the fact that it made the cover is not good either. We all know that its just pure $h!t but the general public, sadly, do believe what they read and this is just pure damaging. I thought that by now they'd stop with all this and just leave him alone since he's not doing much especially not musically, but they're still hell bent in destroying him. Its disgusting and unforgivable the way his own country is behaving and treating him. Its definitely a campaign to ruin him. No other artist has received this kind of treatment for this length of time. I hope he stays away from the UK for the forseeable future. The way they've treated him and continue to treat him, they don't deserve him.
  3. Yes Scotty, the In Good Company company was set up to release Escapology if an agreement with the record companies wasn't reached.

I don't think Rob wants to be tied down to a record company anymore and he's hinted that he can always release his material via the website. Yes it would mean lower sales but it would mean he'd have all the control, all the say in what he wants to release and when he wants to release it. Personally I think creative control matters more than how much one sells but whether Rob feels the same way is yet to be seen. We know he still pays an awful lot of attention to sales and I wish he wouldn't, its not about how much something sells, that does not determine quality, well it doesn't imo anyways.

I agree, he needs to take some good time off but at the same time I'd love for him to just get the Swing out there this year, just to get it out of the way and so he can concentrate on his own stuff and then he can start fresh with no commitments on his shoulders.

As for publicity, yes the record company should do some but the publicity done by the artists themselves could get too much. There is such a thing as over promotion and just doing anything, anywhere - what I call whoring - which I think applied in TTs case. Doing things as Dancing on Ice and the other such shows just cheapens the artist's image... well it does to me. I see the artists that perform on those shows as the last attempt at a flagging career type of promotion or the more z list artists that would even consider going on those shows. In promotion, either extreme is not good. Its about picking and choosing the appropriate avenues and not spreading yourself too thin.

With Rob there is always something to look forward to, just imagining what he can come up with. I'm sure he's blow us away again, with the new album, just as he did with Rudebox. I'd love another album along those same lines but Rob doesn't repeat himself which is what makes him so exciting and so unique. A true original. Though not given his full due respect that he so rightly deserves.

  4. Please god no to the Spacey duet of 'Just the two of us', that would be the most hidious, cheesy duet imaginable.

LOL can it be any cheesier than the duet with Rupert Everett ?

I love Kevin Spacey and it would be nice for them to duet but not on that song

  5. Next studio album recordings (2007–2008)

Williams's said in 2006 that he will release two albums in 2007, one being an original studio albums and the other being a follow up to his massive selling Swing When You're Winning compilation album. In an interview with The Big Issue magazine in 2006, Williams's described his upcoming studio album as "Guitar laden, but not overly rock". Music Producer Mark Ronson has confirmed he will be producing the album.

It is unclear wether either of them will actually be released in 2007 or 2008 as Swedish singer Lisa Lovebrand, who Williams is also said to be working with, said she doesn't think he will release anything until 2008.

The follow up to his 2001 rat pack covers album Swing When You're Winning is rumoured to be titled Let's Swing Again, and the first single will be a duet of Just The Two of Us with Kevin Spacey.

i dont know whether to trust this cause its from wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robbie_williams...still it sounds good

    wait a sec, I think they've mixed a few things up .............

Rob didn't describe the next album as 'guitar laden, but not overly rock', it was the interviewer who heard a few songs he was working on that described those songs in that way.

Mark Ronson said in a recent interview that he's going out to LA to work on some new tracks, I believe he said, not that he was producing the entire album.

I can't believe they actually used a quote that, that Lisa supposedly made. We don't even know if she actually said that as it appeared in one of the tabloids.

And the Kevin Spacey duet, I have no clue where that rumour came from. All Kevin Spacey supposedly said was that Rob will apparently launch the Swing album in Vegas and that Rob will appear on a duets album of some sort or the article just mentioned that without Spacey actually saying it, can't remember now how it went exactly.

All we can do is wait and see. He must have a lot of songs written by now I'd imagine ..... a two cd set would be lovely :D ... will never happen but a girl can dream lol

  6. Very well written article but how on earth are You're Beautiful and Angels very similar ?? Other than launching each artist's career they have absolutely nothing in common imo.

And I take offense at the women swooning at James Blunt comment  Here's one woman that never 'swooned' at seeing Blunt or hearing him, actually the complete opposite, I changed the channel every time that bloody annoying song came on LOL .... It was very much over played and people just grew sick of it, I think. Honestly, I have no clue what people liked about it or James Blunt to begin with -_- He's just a bit boring lol, I don't think he has a good voice and I think the writing is very much lacking on You're Beautiful, but what it had going for it was it being catchy and it got stuck in people's heads which is why I think it became so successful. On the other hand, Angels is a very well written song with beautiful lyrics and a great sentiment attached to it that people related to which is why to this day its still loved the world over.

  7. Scotty... Im thinking Rob is no fool & will consider closely what happened with Rudebox... the huge success of it with the music critics & the less commercial success of it with the normal fan base. It was still pretty successful comercially especially outside of the UK & Ireland.

I hope he also realises that the non-promotion had a big impact on sales. I actually firmly believe that if Rob had not been on tour when this album was released that it would have been a huge success especially if Rob had had a chance to do personal promotion of it.

Do you still get the feeling though that he will put out an album that suits him & not what other people think....Is he gone past the point of high sales achievements & is now concentrating on his real love of music as being the essential ingredient to making what he personally considers to be a good album.

I'd like to say that he's past the point of high sales and pleasing others, putting out songs that he knows will appeal to the masses but with Rob you never know. I do however, think its more about pleasing himself now but I think he may tweak it to maybe make it more palatable for the general public. I'd personally like to see him completely doing his own thing, for himself, and not trying to please whoever but that remains to be seen. I can't even imagine what he'll come up with for the next album but, and hopefully old Vicky has her facts straight, hearing that he's working with the Stoke boys Kelvin and Danny and Duffy makes me very happy. Like you Scotty, I do hope he works again with Jerry, they came up with some gems for Rudebox.

I think Rudebox showed Rob that he needs to do promo and he even mentioned that in an Australian interview where he said that Rudebox got a lukewarm reception in the UK because he wasn't there to promote it and that its now important for him to do the interviews and promotion and then he said, you only know how much something means when its gone. Hopefully he'll be more up for the promo next time and do it big. I'd love him to come out guns blazing and make every critic and journalist eat their words.

Can't say I'm overly excited by Swing but Rob does do it very well and having anything new from Rob is always good  Just hope its not rushed. He really needs to take this year off but with EMI who knows, they may push it. I think Rudebox - released when it was, which is so unlike Rob - was also pushed by them to help them recoup their losses.

  8. Robbie needs a straitjacket

    The Sun

REHAB may have put a smile back on ROBBIE WILLIAMS’s face, but it has done nothing for his dress sense.

The singer has gone from Miami Vice white jackets to a seriously dodgy shiny black suit since he quit the Arizona clinic.

His favourite three-quarter-length jacket he wears to make himself look thinner has also resurfaced. And last week he even tried out the English country gent look at Hyde nightclub in LA.

I’m sure his shrink would have an answer for his strange outfits.

But if he carries on like this, he’s going to end up locked up again — for crimes against fashion.

His sister Sally revealed Rob is a Better Man after a stay in the ******* centre in Tucson for addiction to prescription drugs. And he has started writing material for a new album with his Stoke-on-Trent buddies STEPHEN DUFFY, KELVIN ANDREWS and DANNY SPENCER.

Sally said: “He’s doing a lot of writing. He’s still very creative.â€

    Thanks to TRWS

Since when is Stephen Duffy from Stoke ?!

Must've been a very slow news day when she has to reuse month old quotes from his sister.

  10. I was just on wikipedia and clicked on her name and this was one of the sites  Some of the stuff is pure genius

Here are some of my fave's, please read them as they are hilarious

    What forced Robbie into rehab

    She's Madonna vid pics

    Readers made Robbie smile

    Robbie back on the town

What a great find Scotty. That is absolutely hilarious, especially the Readers Made Robbie Smile entry

LOL she should be flattered really

  11. I know. I'm coming out in a rash just thinking about it....

about what ? the singing, the shagging or both

As Monsoon says, I'd be surprised if they didn't put them together. Good to see they're not sitting on their hands and inventing stories in a timely fashion

  12. Maybe he's going out so much because his mother is there

Maybe after being locked up for 3 weeks he's enjoying his freedom, having fun and at the same time, knowing the cameras are there, he's giving the press and us fans exactly what we want. He's looking great and seems to be in very good spirits and judging on what he said to Stephen Fry in that documentary, seeing him going out and socializing is a big positive. I think I'd be more worried if we wouldn't see any of him.

That last video though and him saying he loves this country - the US - could it be a Robbie style two fingers up at the UK press etc ?? I don't know, but I kinda got that feel about it.

  13. Gaz can handle it. He's a real man. Besides - he's got a life. Unlike us sad tossers who post on forums!

    Kathy

Yes dear Kathy ;) takes one to know one doesn't it ?!

Last I looked this is the TT forum and the 3rd single thread, so what does Robbie have to do with any of it. Why must TT fans constantly bring him into any TT discussion just for the sake of slagging him off. People really do need to get a life.

Obviously your mothers never taught you people good manners  If you've got nothing good to say don't say anything at all.

  14. Our boy's out and about ..... and looking yummy
