  1. Talking about keeping a dignified silence, Barlow and the rest of TT should try doing that, instead of encouraging the press and continuing the will he / won't he speculation
  2. It saddens me and infuriates me at the same time to see how he's being treated. Why are they taking such pleasure in ripping him apart
  3. Something about all this doesn't wash right with me. I don't think she said all that she's supposed to have said about the past in this Staffordshire County magazine interview. I don't see why she would be talking about it now. She could have only said the few words about his situation now - if that even - and the magazine took some old quotes of things she's said and spliced it together to make it look as if it was all done now and ofcourse the rest of the trash press picked it up and ran with it. Its revolting. He's being crucified and dragged through the mud for no reason
  4. I remember some years back Rammstein had one song out here that was played over and over on MTV and then they just sort of disappeared from here anyways but then its close to impossible for an international artist to make it in the US unless they're latin  Anyways, Rob absolutely deserves the International Male award
  5. Germany has always been very good to Rob so I can see him winning and especially so if its based on sales
  6. Exactly. Just leave him alone. There's no need for one documentary much less 4 :banghead: And I'm sure with their perfect timing they'll be on when he's back home  Its disgusting how the majority of the UK media is treating him.
  7. Well that's just it, now he's protected from all this c**p but when he gets out, I fear that's when it will start getting worse and I hope that I'm wrong. All this makes no sense whatsoever, its just knocking him for the sake of knocking him down. I don't get why he gets the brunt of it, every single time. They do seem to take great enjoyment in dragging him through the mud and especially now.
  8. That's just nothing but malicious, what the Mirror have written. There is no reason for it. They just take some sort of sick pleasure in slagging him off and beating him up. Its absolutely disgusting !!! But that's the UK press for you. Surprising ? NO Expected ? YES  I just hope they leave him alone and quiet down when he gets out.
  9. I agree, I hope there aren't any documentaries, its the last thing he needs now but it wouldn't be surprising if there were. All they're interested in is getting high viewing figures and anything with Robbie, especially a 'tell all' documentary will certainly get that. They just love to kick a person when they're down and who better than Rob
  10. Well we are talking about NME here, they must've been on something when they actually gave a Robbie album a good review  Thing that I don't get is, if they gave it a good review then why put it in the running for worst album ?! But then not much about NME makes sense so .......
  11. Exactly. Its such a trying and difficult time for his parents and family. Must be very frustrating for them knowing that they can't be there with him or do anything to help and then having to read all the c**p written about him. Its disgusting how the press, aside from a few, have handled this. They seem to forget that they're dealing with human beings with feelings.
  12. I don't think its the press as much as TT themselves that are doing this. If TT would stop harping on about Rob this and Rob that every time they have something to sell, the press would give up and move on. Its TT who keep going on about wanting Rob to join them on tour every time they have a tour which would make sense on the last one as it was a reunion tour but not this one which is to support the new album. Ofcourse the press will ask them, but if TT were honest and would want all this Robbie vs TT to stop then all they need to say would be that this tour is about the new TT and not the old, its about the new album, so Rob would not have a place on this tour which he doesn't. They keep using his name every time it suits them best and they have something to plug and that is why the press don't bury it. They're doing a lot of backtracking now, because they got some flack for not mentioning Rob at the Brits, so now they're pouring out their love and support for Rob which just so happens to be a few days before tix for their tour go onsale. Great timing, very convenient and very low IMO to play the sympathy card. But it would be in their best interest to make nice with Robbie fans. Plus, I think Barlow and Jason need to get their stories straight .. but then that's what happens when you lie and pretend
  13. I don't agree that support is support. Real support comes from the heart and does so immediately, not weeks after and that's what counts in the grand scheme of things. This is obviously as fake as they come and Newton is just doing it to reel in an exclusive interview. Plus I doubt any of the messages would get to Rob. I was sitting on the fence all day and decided against sending in my card. Victoria Newton is a hypocrit, a liar, a manipulating b*tch and she's now trying to manipulate Rob's fans to make herself look better. If this would have been genuine she would have done it when Rob first went into rehab and not 2 weeks later, after rumours have it that he'll be coming out soon. All too convenient and too self serving for old Vicky and I won't help make her look good. She better be careful as we all know what karma tends to do.
  14. Yeah I doubt old Vicky's motives but I'll send mine in as well. I just wish I can work out how to save that pdf card they have that can be emailed supposedly  Would be great to flood her with emails and snail mail. I wonder if I send a card regular post - which will take round a week - if she'll still put it in the bag with the rest .... that is if there is a bag and not a bin :P
  15. They've got great timing. Funny how the public love and support pours out when there's something to plug
  16. That's exactly what I mean, its all very confusing and doesn't make much sense. If I purchase it from a UK distributor then it should count for sales in the UK no matter where its being delivered to. TessaT thanks for the link, I'd rather buy it from there if it'll count for something even if it costs a bit more.
  17. For whatever reason, EMI are clearly not interested in doing anything for the album or for Rob. I would have hoped there would be promotion of some sort for She's Madonna, an advert anything would be nice at this point seeing as Rob is unavailable. They couldn't pull the single because it was set into motion before Rob went into rehab, I just hope they don't release anything after this. Its absolutely pointless and makes the album and Rob look very bad and gives the press more ammunition as if they don't already have any as it is. Considering there's absolutely no promotion, the video is a big turn off for alot of people, there are no bsides and Rob's fans have not yet embraced downloading, I'd be really happy if it made top 40. Top 20 and I'll be ecstatic  I've got mine on preorder from Amazon and I know that doesn't count toward the chart. Does anyone know if buying off RW.com would count towards the charts ?? or where else online it would count for something ? I have no choice but to order off the net and its really frustrating that none of it counts towards the charts :(
  18. Wow, I must say that's impressive
  19. Osiris that's one of the IS clips from Chile and yes its absolutely hilarious. The funniest thing I've seen in a long time
  20. That's what I call dedication stevvy. Yes Germany has always been good to Rob and he has always loved Germany and its people for their unfailing support Susie, I agree with you, I too wish sometimes he would just keep a tight lip but as TessaT says that's just not Rob and is why we love him so much, because he is so honest and speaks from the heart. Doesn't do him any favours sometimes but I wouldn't change him for the world. He is in the minority of celebrities who speak their mind instead of being poilitically correct and saying the right thing. His big mouth is one of the things that I love and admire about Rob.
  21. If anything is correct about the article, I hope its that he's in good spirits other than that he needs to stay there for the duration of the course. As Scotty said, there's not such thing as a speedy recovery and as far as I know I don't think you can get out of a serious clinic for 'good behaviour'. All this kind of article is doing is making it look like it is a publicity stunt and I wouldn't put it past the tabloids to do just that. Put out a story saying that he's on his way out and feeling great - as if they would know  - so then the story is picked up and makes its rounds and justifies all the c**p being said about it being a PR stunt. He's only been in there for 2 weeks, its ridiculous to say that he's feeling good enough to go home. The most difficult part of the recovery will be when he actually gets home and gets back to his normal daily routine without having the support he now has in rehab. I just hope that when he is well enough to be released, and goes home, the press will give him room and leave him alone to heal. I hope they change their current knocking him down angle.
  22. I agree IC is a great album, I personally love it. And yes alot of people bought the album and loved it but there were also those that didn't like it and thought it was the biggest mistake of Rob's career to even write with Stephen Duffy. I think they make a great team and write very well together and Stephen is a very good influence on Rob and that was evident with IC. He's much more trusting and gives Rob the self confidence he needs or needed after he split with Guy. There are alot of factors that has led to the way he's being treated now, yes splitting with Guy certainly was a big one, as was the move to LA and his outspoken-ness about the the whole Kate Moss thing and his criticism of the UK media in general didn't do him any good so now they're sticking their knives in him. I apologize if I offended anyone with my comments, it was not my intention. I shouldn't have said the UK public is fickle and unforgiving but rather say that Robbie fans are. IMO. He sold hundreds of thousands of tickets in the UK alone and played to that many on the tour, if you'd ask the majority of those attending they'd say they're fans and big fans at that. I just wish those people would put their money where their mouths are and buy the album and the singles. Unfortunately, talk is cheap and the only way he's judged in the public eye is through sales. Where are all those people that call themselves fans ?! I can more or less see where the UK tabloids can say that his fanbase is diminishing and so is his career. Alot of fans thought that they'd teach him a lesson by not buying the album or the singles so he'd go back to doing something they want him to. IMO, if you call yourself a loyal fan of an artist you support them and by showing support you buy the albums and the singles. But within the UK his sales went down which means not a lot of people bought the album and the singles haven't done well either which shows they haven't bought those either. Just based on that anyone would be right in saying that the UK fanbase has diminished.
  23. I personally love the song but I don't think its single material and would make the press sharpen their knives even more and throw them at him with more force. I'm not crazy on She's Madonna either, just don't like the song all that much but its more mass market so I can see why it was released. To be honest, I hope no more singles are released from Rudebox. Its an amazing album but it doesn't have any 'singles' on it and I don't think anything he'd release at this point would be a success just going by the attitude toward him especially in the UK. Releasing nothing is far better than releasing something and having it flop.
  24. I think its more than just the press. You'd think by now people would know better than to trust or believe the UK press. There were alot of fans hugely disappointed with Rudebox and I saw the turnaround starting to happen way before that. I think, even though, it was Rob's biggest selling album, IC started the turnaround with some fans and that just continued and snowballed with Rudebox. I honestly think that people in the UK have just got very bored with Rob. The things that they used to like about him seem to now be annoying them or just putting them off and that's a shame but for an artist that's been at it for over 10 years I suppose its not surprising. You'd just think that his home country would be proud of him and his success instead of trying to tear him down at every given opportunity  Also with the UK, I think the biggest thing that affected how he's being treated by press and some fans alike is him moving to LA and making it his home. I remember at the time when he first moved out there, there was alot of negative talk going on and how he's basically abandoning and/or betraying his country and the place that made him famous. I think alot of people still have not forgiven him for that and still hold a grudge. There was alot of negative talk on another site - a UK site - when the rumour of him launching the swing album in Vegas was going around. It was a reaction of how dare he launch an album in the US. From the looks of it, the British are very fickle and unforgiving :(
