  1. Considering its from a tabloid, it sounds very promising and for once I hope a tabloid story is true. But I'm still taking it with huge buckets of salt
  2. Yeah it means hammered or drunk or on something
  3. I don't think it was filmed properly, I think its a fan made video. I know there are people that have it or have seen it, I'm surprised its not on ebay. Atleast it wasn't there when I checked a few months back anyways.
  4. Oh I remember this one. I think it was taken in 2000 at the end of the year after the MTV Europe awards and I don't think Rob was very well there. I actually think he was a bit off his face
  5. Must be Milan. I've only seen Argentina online and Leeds and I agree both were great but Argentina was better. He looked more relaxed in Argentina, but that's expected as he's usually more nervous and feels more pressure when performing in the UK. I'll hopefully see Milan soon, that one by all accounts was amazing.
  6. Oh yeah I remember that article, I think it was from the New York Times and if I'm not mistaken that 'journalist' that wrote it later apologized for the incorrect information and retracted her story. You'd think they would check their facts before putting pen to paper
  7. Thanks Scotty, I've been trying all week. Its good to be back
  8. Oh American record companies absolutely know him but they don't know what to do with him. Before he signed this mega contract with EMI, he was shopping around and there were a few American based record companies interested in him as I recall from Feel. But Rob is not the artist or person that is mouldable and record companies basically want a lap dog that they can maneuver around. Rob wants things on his own terms and won't change for anything and that's one of the things that I admire and respect about him. IMO, he made it as big as he has because of that. He's always remained true to himself, he has his own style and if you like it great and if you don't p*** off. He's always held onto that and that's hard to come by in the music industry. The usual is they'll do anything and be anything just to succeed which is why a lot of artists don't last too long, there's nothing genuine or unique about them.
  9. I have :yahoo: :cheer: They're all great clips but Chile clip 3 is worth the price of admission. That's the funniest thing I've ever seen  .. Josie pleading with Jonny to stop and he goes, 'shut, I need it' They need their own comedy show, Rob and Jonny. btw, does anyone know what song they're singing in the Rio clip ?? the vocal warm up song ??? Oh and Rob speaking German .... LOVE it !!!! Schnel
  10. I've finally signed on :dancing: Thanks so much for helping out e-motion
  11. I don't think there will be anybody else to reach Robbie's level, not in the bigger than life superstar sense. Rob is a true star in every sense of the word and that's just in born I think. He's got the full package, talent, charisma, personality, sense of humour, good looks and that IT factor. Its all natural with Rob where as with a lot of the flavours of the month type stars its something they try to be or put across and it doesn't translate. Plus with Rob there's something that just endears him to people, whether its the sense of humour or just his honesty but people actually care about him where as with others just care about their music. Regarding that article about Warner and EMI, even if Warner buys out EMI I can't see them dropping Rob. Though they are American based they still know that Rob brings in a lot of money and especially as swing is the next album, if they play their cards right they can have a success with it in the US so I doubt they'd want to drop him. Plus he's only got one album left, it'd be more costly for them to buy him out of his contract then keep him on.
  12. Exactly my thoughts. As Jason explained then, they didn't say anything because its not for them to comment on the situation. OK, that's all good and proper and I respect that standpoint but why is it OK now to comment and not then ?! The situation hasn't changed, its still as personal as it was then so why now, again, when asked, that find it alright to speak about it. I do like Mark and I think he is the only genuine person out of the four. I don't know if Mark was told not to say something at the ceremony, but even if he was he could've surely put his foot down and muster up some balls and say something especially as he says now he was so bothered by Rob being mocked and joked about.
  13. Oh I haven't seen that in so long, thanks TessaT :cheer: Phoenix From The Flames is one of my all time favourites
  14. Unfortunately the Brits have nothing to do with accomplishments but more with which record company is in their pocket. And in that case, I'd rather Rob not win at all. He deserves to win on merit and not on price tag.
  15. That's only to keep us on our toes :P They have made a major improvement with the log in, atleast now you don't have to re-enter your username every time.
  16. Yes Tessa that's what I mean when you click to watch the clip, the pop up has a different look to it with larger icons at the bottom for low, medium and high. I think it looks much better than the old. As for the Subscription email, they are supposed to send one to remind when your sub is up, although I personally wouldn't hold my breath waiting for it. For the people that subscribed first, it was supposed to end February 13th originally, but as I've heard I think they're extending it until further notice. Someone on another board emailed them and as I remember they said it will be extended until they work out what they will be offering members for this year. I've not seen anything come out of my mastercard so I don't think they've been recharging people.
  17. Exactly, Rob hasn't said anything about Oasis in a very long time. He's remained the bigger person and not stooped down to their level yet they can't seem to let it go. They only do it for publicity those arrogant gits. Its only when they've got something to sell is when they start slagging Rob off and it pays off, the cover of the Sun so as long as the papers print what they say they'll continue saying it. I'd hoped though that Liam has grown up a bit and it was only Noel who's missing a brain but seems like Liam's lost his as well .. that is if he ever had one
  18. Oh Sparkle, thanks for that you've made my day !!! That picture is just brilliant I hope it was deliberate, its gotta be. I was thinking they should change the background as the tour's over. Good to see they replaced the pic with such a dazzler  And can I just say I love how they spruced up the site, with the log in that remembers your username and the new video pop ups. Well done to them @Supreme:: If you go to archived tours and click on European Summer Leg, on the next page when it opens click Berlin on the right side and then footage. I am I said is in clip 3, the picture is Rob pushing the pram. Hope you can find it, he sings it very well. That'd be a perfect song for him to cover I think. The vids are working for me. That Bern one is also a great clip. 'Not swapsies he gave it to me' gotta love that man.
  19. The clip is either the second or third Berlin clip, where Rob is sitting putting on his shoes but unfortunately its not a new song. Its a Neil Diamond song called I am I said but when Rob was singing it he changed some of the lyrics around like 'I'm England born and raised' the original lyric is 'I'm New York City born and raised'. I can see why Rob likes that song, the rest of the lyrics suit him completely. Its like that song was written for Rob. Its fab ::Dazzleland:: Thanks for the heads up. LOL just saw the picture on the home page. Brilliant Wonder if they put it up deliberately in light of all the $h!t that's being written about him. Does anyone know how to save that picture ?? I'd love to have that as my wallpaper
  20. I agree, I don't see how saying a few words and wishing Rob well could or would be misinterpreted. To say its a private matter is a lame excuse. Practically the whole world knows, its not like its some secret. People who don't know Rob at all or as well as they do wished him well. For people who claim to love him and care about him - only when its most convenient for them that is - they acted the complete opposite last night. Hypocrits is exactly the word to describe them. I'm just glad that the media is not overlooking this and not sweeping it under the carpet. Its inexcusable. But then they didn't give a damn when they kicked him to the curb or care when he went into rehab before so why should they now. And its not about giving thanks to Rob. That's one of the things that I don't get at all. They didn't have to thank him but they had to wish him well. It happened the day before not a week or a month ago, they should have shown some compassion. Thanking Rob is NOT the same thing as wishing him well. And they only thanked him when asked and that's absolutely not the same and Barlow turned it around to himself in the end the selfish git that he is. He's thanking Rob for helping him and the other four cash in. But pay no mind that he's in a bad way now. Plain smug. They had a perfect forum to say something when accepting their award but they didn't and that speaks volumes. Nothing could be twisted around by saying get well, showing they care. But as Barlow thanked Rob for filling up his pockets just shows that's all they care about. I wouldn't be surprised if there were a couple of them snickering upon hearing Rob went into rehab, or sitting there laughing at him being made fun of. Their behaviour last night is disgusting plain and simple. Sorry to bring it up when you all are trying to move on but I had to get it off my chest.
  21. That man should be shot or better yet slowly tortured. How dare he say that :banghead: As for the 36 espressos and 30 cigarettes etc ... so they were in his house, spent 24 hours with Rob and took count  friggin' idiots !!!! All we'll get now is speculation and lies and more lies. These pathetic rags will make up anything to make up a story and fill a page. They have enough material now for years of rehashing. I really think they need to put out another official statement soon to counteract this c**p that's being written but don't think we'll hear anything from the RW camp for some time.
  22. I was watching hoping they'll say something but as you said absolutely nothing on E! News and nothing on all the other entertainment shows here in the US. CNN had the official statement scrolling at the bottom of the screen. BBC World, from the part when I turned it over mentioned absolutely nothing, maybe they did so towards the beginning but I just caught about 10 minutes at the end. And regarding US Yahoo, I was fuming when I read it this morning and saw that they quoted Lisa whatshername from the NOTW. Some other articles I read online today also quoted NOTW as if it were fact and the thing that pisses me off is people that read that will think it is fact :banghead:
  23. To call this a publicity stunt is absolutely sick but actually I'm not that surprised that its been mentioned. Its become very fashionable here in the US recently, to check yourself into rehab when your popularity is a bit on the slide. Celebrities over the past month or so have been checking themselves into rehab for every little thing to make themselves look better and win the public's sympathy. Apparently, and who knew, that you can check yourself into rehab for shooting your mouth off and making racist or homophobic statements. Seems that one doesn't need to suffer from an addiction or such to go into rehab. I've been saying it over and over recently, that these celebs that check themselves into rehab for the silliest things are actually doing rehab a diservice because they're tarneshing its reputation for people who truly need it. Yes it was shocking when I first heard the news this morning but I can't say I'm all that surprised, he hasn't been looking all too well lately. I've had a feeling for a while now that something's very off. The only positive in this is that he recognizes he has a problem, wants to get help and is taking the steps to getting it. He's been through worse, and as worrying it is, I'm sure he will be OK. He's a remarkably strong willed individual, he can do and get through anything he sets his mind to. I just wish the press can leave him alone and not pour salt on the wound, but I'm sure this news has made their day and they're just sharpening their pencils for tomorrow and the next day and the next .... :arrr:
  24. I do, but I kinda need to be in a certain mood to listen to it. I've been listening to IC in the past week and realizing how much I love it and how good those songs really are. I still LOVE Tripping, Spread Your Wings - my all time favourite off the album - with Trouble With Me coming in a close second. Some of the lyrics in those two songs really hit home. Please Don't Die is also a great song but because it brings back lots of memories of my dad, everytime I listen it just makes me cry so that's not one I listen to often. I skip it deliberately because its just too emotional for me.
  25. Tessa, its in the Berlin thread clip 4 :funky: Also, that song Rob was singing that some of us thought was an original actually is a Neil Diamond song 'I am, I said'. I thought he was singing it in a Neil Diamond-ish voice but never being a Neil Diamond fan and the fact that Rob changed the lyrics and made it personal, it didn't hit me. After all I knew for certain Neil wasn't born or raised in England  Rob should do a cover of this song.
